Scofield is a town in Carbon County, Utah. Scofield's name is frequently applied to the 1900 mine disaster in the Pleasant Valley Coal Company's Winter Quarters mine. The community was named for General Charles W. Scofield, a timber contractor and local mine official.

Our two campgrounds offer campsites near the reservoir. Mtn View Campground is near the dam and offers incredible views of the lake as it is built on a terrace on the shoreline. Many of these campsites would be ideal for smaller trailers or tents.
