The Hilton in Downtoen Salt Lake is closely located to great bars, restaurants, and all performing arts in SLC.
Positives: good location, easy access to local businesses, & clean.
Negatives: Nothing, it was fine. Nothing to complain about..

The Hilton SL is great. Great location and rooms. Wish we'd gotten a single bed instead of 2. Staff was nice, concierges are fantastic!
Positives: Location, comfort, upscale, and price.
Negatives: Did not get a single bed.

This hotel was not family friendly and the staff was not very helpful. The pool was very dirty with a layer of scum around the sides. There were several things missing from our room when we arrived such as towels and a shower curtain. Parking was a pain and very pricey. I won't be staying at this hotel the next time I visit Salt Lake City.
Positives: Beds were comfortable and the hotel was conveniently located.
Negatives: Pool was dirty with a layer of scum around the sides. Parking was very inconvenient.

The second night the room was not cleaned properly and the hotel room was hot. We asked for maintenance to come up, which they sent. The maintenance person was extremely nice but was unable to fix the problem. The Hilton did not offer another room and we ended up buying a fan at Walgreen's in order to be comfortable for the night.
Positives: beds were very comfortable
Negatives: Well the second night stay the hotel staff barely cleaned the hotel room.

Nice hotel, nice location.
Positives: The location.
Negatives: The incidental costs that the hotel did not mention up front at check-in.

This is not a 4 star hotel, I spent the next night at Aria in Las Vegas, at the same price, and that is a 4 star hotel. Night and day.
Positives: Work out facilities were very nice.
Negatives: Room - it's next to the banging banner or something that banged all night.

Everything about the hotel was wonderful. The staff was very well trained and the facilities were very nice. I am a custodian by trade and notice many details good or bad. Most things were great.
Positives: The staff was absolutely wonderful. The room was almost as good as the staff.
Negatives: Our original room (non smoking), had just someone smoking in it so they graciously gave us a new room.

Holiday Inn Express is nicer than this hotel. The sheets and blanket were very static, and every time I touched the lamps I got shocked. They need to use dryer sheets. Wasn't too impressed with the shower. It took me twice as long to shower because the water flow was so stingy! They charged extra for everything! Internet, bottled water, parking, etc. Really what you are paying for is location and that is about it.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Extra fee for parking, bathroom vanity very dirty on front, extra $ for everything!

Our heater was blowing cold air into the room when we arrived. I called the front desk to report it. We left for dinner and when we returned, the room was cozy warm (it was in the 20's outside). The repair man even left a certificate for a free cont. breakfast. My husband was having surgery the next morning. I spent the day at the hospital with him, when I returned that night I had another note from the front desk, along with a plate of goodies and a bottle of water, hoping that my maintenance (heater not working properly) had been taken care of to my satisfaction. How many hotels go to that extent to make their clients happy. At first I thought they were being so kind because I am a travel agent (home based), but they had no way of knowing that. I will definitely recommend and book them for others in the future.
Positives: Immediate response to heater not working properly. Was fixed by the time I returned from dinner.
Negatives: Nothing.

It is a great hotel. I was disappointed with having to pay for parking, however, it is a nice underground garage that is convenient to the elevators, making coming and going safe and easy. It was a great, clean hotel with comfy beds and a nice swimming pool for the kids. The staff was very friendly and informational on activities going on locally.
Positives: Clean and friendly.
Negatives: Paying for parking.

Awesome beds. Thought it was silly to have to pay $13 for parking at the hotel.
Positives: Very comfortable beds and bedding.
Negatives: Non-smoking room smelled badly of cigarette smoke.

As a busy traveler I cannot stay anywhere without easy, free internet access. If the budget motel can offer it any do the 3 and 4 star hotels money grub for access. And to not even be able to sit down in the lobby and get on on my own computer is ridiculous.
Positives: Convenient location, & fun valet guys.
Negatives: I couldn't even get on the internet on my laptop in the lobby without paying the fee. Every motel in the country offers free internet.

I would prefer to stay elsewhere. I felt like I was given one of the worst rooms in the building. You have to pay for everything from the parking to the internet. I would rather stay at a two star hotel than stay here again. I usually get a room at the Little American in the tower, and will probably just start buying it directly with them so I can stay there from now on. I feel that the Hilton doesn't live up to the star level when purchasing a room with them. I feel the hotel os a four star hotel with room varing from 2 - 4 and even though I purchased a 4 they gave me the 2. I was very, very disapointed and won't stay there again if I get a choice.
Positives: it was clean.
Negatives: the staff at the front desk were unfriendly and i felt that i wasnt a valued customer. If you like spending a lot of money for things that are free.

Positives: Good downtown location.
Negatives: No free parking.

Not worth even 50% off, I paid for parking fees, internet fees, etc. Their basic continental breakfast was $13 and it only included cereal and muffins. What a joke.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: They nickle and dimed us for every little thing.

Negatives: Nothing.

Pretty good overall. I would have liked some of the amenities of other hotels, like free internet access, fridge in room, etc. I read on the website that parking was complimentary and then was charged for parking upon arrival. I told them what their website says and they allowed me the parking free.

Positives: The staff was very helpful and the rooms were clean and comfortable.
Negatives: Internet access was not complimentary - not even in the lobby. Usually you can get access in the lobby.

It was a pleasant experience and overall we were satisfied with the service and the cleanliness of the hotel. Although it was clean, it could use a few modern upgrades.

Negatives: Paying for parking.

The hotel is conveniently located, close to several reasonably priced restaurants. The pricing on Priceline was excellent.
Positives: Convenient location and good price.
Negatives: Nothing

The hotel was nice except for being woken up by house keeping in the morning. I expected more from a four star hotel as far as the appearance of the rooms and amenities. It didn't even have a DVD player in the rooms to watch movies. It expected you to pay for every little thing extra including water.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: House keeping banged on our door and woke us up at 8:15 am.
