While its located in a great spot, ongoing construction distracts from what might otherwise be an attractive corner. Friendly staff, spotless, with an all-business feel.
Positives: Starbucks in lobby, nice pool, jacuzzi and sauna.
Negatives: Construction, $12 parking and Internet.

Good hotel. Safe, clean, friendly staff and a very good location. Round the corner from the next tram stop, bars and restaurants nearby.
Positives: Very good location, clean, safe, and friendly staff.
Negatives: Construction work without prior notice to the guest, room service entered the room.

Yes, there's construction next door, but that won't last forever. I've stayed here several times since The Inn at Temple Square closed. Rooms are spotless, staff is very accommodating to special requests. Front desk staff is especially helpful and patient. The hot tub is great in winter -- properly hot after an evening looking at the Temple Square Christmas lights.
Positives: Location can't be beat.
Negatives: Construction makes it a pain to get around, but the hotel can't help that.

This is a nice hotel. The rooms are beautifully furnished and comfortable. I did not eat at their restaurant as the prices were high. I had expected them to have a courtesy van to the airport but that was not available.
Positives: The large spacious room with a nice sitting chair.
Negatives: No courtesy van to provide transportation to the airport.

Our room's thermostat did not work and was too warm - hotel hallways were nice and cool. There was no coffee pot in the room - had to go downstairs and buy starbuck's. We had to pay for parking in their garage - no other choices as construction was going on. Hotel was very clean and requests were granted.
Positives: Nice elegant appearance - great location.
Negatives: Had to pay for parking. Unfriendly front desk. No coffee pot.

Positives: The room was clean and well furnished.
Negatives: I did not like paying so much for parking.

This is an easy place to get to, construction is going on right next to it but we didn't have any problems resulting from it, I loved having valet parking, it is well worth the $15 if you ask me. The staff was very friendly and professional. The room was very clean, quiet and the bed was so comfortable I even took the sheet off to see what kind of mattress it was.
Positives: The bed was exceptionally comfortable.
Negatives: The room could have the decor update.

This is a very nice location and facility but this block in SLC is under major construction after a large section of a 2 block area has been form down. I wouldn't stay there again until the construction finished. But it is a nice facility with friendly staff.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: In construction zone.

I have stayed at this hotel every year for 12 years. Love the helpful staff, friendly lobby, convenient location, good food and comfortable bed. Plus, you can open the window for some fresh mountain air!
Positives: Across the street from convention center, good food, comfortable bed.
Negatives: Rooms a little small with two beds.

This hotel is centrally located in Salt Lake and is your typical Marriott. The large lobby area is well decorated and clean, the Staff is generally professional, and the room is clean. The room is classic, but not chic. Beware if there is a convention in town, the place could be flooded with people and getting into an elevator could be a difficult process.
Positives: The beds are amazingly comfortable.
Negatives: Lots of convention activity, too noisy.

Excellent.
Positives: Great location. Excellent dining within walking distance.
Negatives: Street construction did not make for easy entrance and departure.

We found this hotel to be nice, but not as nice as it could have been for the price. The restaurants on site are over-priced for the quality of food and the waiters, hostess, etc were not very good at their job. Also, every little thing is an extra charge here; water in the room, parking, internet, etc. are either extra charges added. I also was over charged for a long distance call which should have been covered by my internet cost, but the desk was less than cooperative and I found haggling over a $13 bill too frustrating to continue with the condescending clerk. So, I would probably not stay there again but it is in a good location and alright for first timers to the city.
Positives: Location, very close to the Temple Square Complex.
Negatives: They charge for every little extra. Water provided in room at $3.00 per 48 oz., internet 9.95 per 24 hours, on site parking $12-15 per day.

The hotel is in a great location. Fancy lobby but disappointed when arrived at room. For a four star room it was small and getting run down. Excellent pool and exercise area.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: Getting run down, small room.

I was upset because they charged me $12 a night for parking. Nothing was ever said about that fee. It was a hidden fee that was never mentioned. I found out when I checked out of the hotel. I wasnt happy about this at all and the hotel employees didnt care what I thought. I will never stay here again.
Positives: Nice swimming pool.
Negatives: The room was extremely small.

I was greatly impressed by the hotel. I usually stay at Little America or the Grand America and they are fabulous but for the price, I will be staying at the Marriot for future visits to SLC.
Positives: The bed was the extremely comfortable. Love it!
Negatives: There was construction in front of the hotel which may it hard to get to.

When I entered the assigned room I noticed that the closet door was off of it's track and I was unable to open it. I contacted the front desk and they sent engineering, 1.5 hours later. The second morning of my stay the room above sprung a leak. It was a waterfall in my room between the vanity and the closet. Fortunately I was able to move my shoes before they were damaged. I contacted the front desk and they said, I'll tell engineering. I waited more than an hour, packed my bag and went to the front desk to request a new room. They were accommodating but not apologetic. I ate at both the restaurant and the lounge. Service was slow at both. Most disturbing was the lounge, the two people that were working there had their backs to the customers the entire time I was there. They were busy discussing their schedules and vacations and how to best use their hours. They were loud and it was very unprofessional.
Positives: Comfortable bed.
Negatives: For a business traveler, I would appreciate free internet access.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Apr 2008 rated 6 out of 10.
It was nice and as I expected except for the issue with the bed.
Positives: Easy access to city offices and restaurants.
Negatives: The bed was sunken on the side with the lamp. It seemed worn out from too many people or too heavy people sitting on that side.
