I've stayed at this hotel before and apparently it is under new management and has gone down hill a lot since then. The hotel is very shabby with a disheveled appearance in the lobby (papers strewn about, broken cabinet doors behind the front desk, etc). The concierge clerk did not exactly inspire confidence as check in took about 20 minutes while he struggled to locate my reservation. The rooms are damp, moldy, smelly. The wallpaper is peeling, the ceiling is a dark urine shade of yellow and the furniture is old and out of date. The hot tub was closed by order of the Utah County Health department, which made me extremely nervous to let my kids swim in the pool. The breakfast was decent and the staff were glad to accommodate my request for extra shampoo and pillows at no extra charge. I would overall recommend staying other places.
Positives: Breakfast, and friendly staff.
Negatives: Out dated furniture, carpet, painting. Rooms are old, damp and musty. Staff were not familiar with locating a reservation made through a 3rd party site.

An Utah "make hay while the sun shines" business. Strategically located near BYU and due to that people are going to stay and are going to pay; the owner appears to be taking advantage of that fact in offering a very low caliber facility for too high of a price. There is paint on paint on paint. Worn out mi-hung drapery and furnishings. Everything is sagging. The pool was closed. The hallways were not air conditioned and the room was not kept air conditioned. It took hours on "high" to get comfortably cool. Had to then get up in the night and try to guess at a comfortable setting.
Positives: Waffle maker..
Negatives: Hair in bathroom, years of lint, skin cells, debris under bed. Filthy carpet in room and halls.

Pretty much what I expected, nothing too special, but still comfortable and clean enough. We really looked forward to going for a swim, but the pool ended up closed by order of the health department. That was very disappointing. We were also disappointed by the ancient TV in our room especially when there was a nice flat screen down in the lobby. We couldn't even hook up a DVD player to the TV it was that old. But again, as far as a place to stay, it was just fine.
Positives: Friendly employees, room was comfortable for star rating, and continental breakfast was good.
Negatives: TV's are horribly out of date and pool was closed.

Miserable stay and I would recommend no one ever stay here.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Pool and spa were both innoperable...Common in July? Air conditioner would not cool room.

The toilet, Internet and refrigerator in my room all did not work. There were dents in the wall, and something yellow on the ceiling above the bed.
Positives: 24 hour front desk.
Negatives: Pretty much everything else.

Beds were not great, pillows were poor, and we could hear everything going on in the hall. The carpet in the room was much stained and the bathroom was in poor condition. I have stayed in much nicer places.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Toilet seat extremely loose, paint peeling in bathroom, carpet stained.

The Super 8 hotel in Provo is very strategically located. We were able to get all our school shopping done and enjoy some leisure time in the pool and hot tub. I enjoy the hot waffles at breakfast and my family really likes the cold cereal option. I like the neighborhood around the hotel and feel safe when staying here.
Positives: The breakfast is always stocked and delicious.
Negatives: I have no complaints.

Nice location, a little older property that they were trying to fix up. Right next to College housing so loud until about midnight. Night clerk was great. Morning guy could not figure out how to check me out.
Positives: Cheap and ok.
Negatives: Old and looked like they were trying to clean it up. Ok for the price.

A good budget motel, with an excellent continental breakfast and friendly staff.
Positives: Excellent breakfast - hot waffles cooked for us, lots of juices and pastries.
Negatives: Temperature of the shower varied far too much, and was difficult to adjust.

The location is great for BYU, and not far from a TON of restaurants and shopping but not in the middle of it. The room was VERY basic and the housekeeping could have been better. Breakfast had a great variety and was nice, the free local paper and hot cookies in the evening where nice too. Over all it was better than expected given a 1 star rating. I would probably pick a better level of hotel next time.
Positives: The breakfast was good and the pool was open 24 hours.
Negatives: We had to ask housekeeping to come in on our second day.

This was an excellent hotel for the price level. Very clean and comfortable, excellent facilities. There was a nice fitness center, indoor pool and hot tub. I would happily stay here again.
Positives: The breakfast was outstanding and fresh-baked evening cookies were an extra plus.
Negatives: It was a noisy in the morning when people started opening doors and talking in the hallway.

The room was very clean and the beds were comfortable. The continental was very good but it does end at 9:00am on the dot. The free chocolate chip cookies were exceptionally good. The only problem was the air conditioner did not get the room as cold as I like it.
Positives: The chocolate chip cookies were great. The breakfast was really good too.
Negatives: There were grumpy people in our hall.

The hotel has an indoor pool but an out door area for tanning - it sit directly across the street from the BYU campus and on the main road way to all amenities. It was clean and there was a good selection of items for breakfast but it was a little on the pricey side.
Positives: The breakfast was very good.
Negatives: It was a little pricey for what you get.
