We were really disappointed in the value for a Howard Johnson's.
Positives: It was in the right city. Nothing else.
Negatives: Staff, grounds, beds, enough?

This was probably a nice place at one time, but degenerated into a dump. The current owners seem to be trying to bring it back but they have a long way to go. The pool was closed for resurfacing while we were there. The rooms were nice, but you could smell the beer soaked carpet on the stairways leading to the upper rooms. Parking lot is large but in poor condition. Restaurant on the grounds is closed with weeds growing up around it. We had a Haul and felt like posting a guard by it during the night.
Positives: Beautiful view of the valley from rooms.
Negatives: General poor condition of the facility.

Interior of rooms need upgraded and carpet cleaned, difficult to read room numbers from street.
Positives: Staff was helpful but had a difficult time understanding English.
Negatives: Security lock chain was broken off door casing, no hot water until following A.M. and water pressure was extremely low. Difficulty communicating with them.

As mentioned above, the staff was very courteous. I was impressed with the cleanliness of the room and the layout of the bathroom facilities. Not fancy, but very comfortable and efficient for a short stay.
Positives: Very clean and quiet. Staff was friendly even at very late check in.
Negatives: I would have liked different coffee in room. Quit breakfast too early.

I always thought that Howard Johnson's was suppose to be a great hotel, now it's just a dive. The room was dirty and dark. I will never stay at a Howard Johnson's again.
Positives: I didn't like it.
Negatives: It was dirty and smelly.

I would like my money back or partially back for the last morning which was a disaster due to no running water.
Positives: Location was great.
Negatives: I had like to brush teeth, potty, shower wash hands etc in my room that I paid for and not smell poop at breakfast.

It was fine for a one night stay but wouldn't want to stay for extended period of time. Nice in a pinch.
Positives: Continental breakfast was nice. Good variety for the class of hotel.
Negatives: The pool was not heated and the hot tub was nasty. Bed was uncomfortable.

Staff was friendly, room easy to find, bed comfortable, pillows could have been fuller. Being an ex-general manager of a hotel I notice things like old, cracked and discolored caulking. They need a better maintenance schedule for recalling. Otherwise, the stay was fine.
Positives: Close to freeway exit.
Negatives: Caulking along tub side and around door needed replacing.

Old structure, outdated plumbing, too expensive for the quality of the room.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Shower - no water flow.

This hotel needs to be taken off your list. I have used your services on many occasions and this is the first time I was disappointed.
Positives: Absolutely nothing.
Negatives: Old, dirty, smelly, noisy.

Basic, low cost, adequate for an overnight.
Positives: Low priced.
Negatives: Sink in room was not cleaned after prior guest. Rooms are not sound-proof.

This was not what I expected from a Howard Johnson motel, but it was more than I expected for the price we paid. We were there on the weekend of USU's graduation which could account for the backlog at the breakfast bar. Our room was having problems with the heat so we were provided with a space heater that quite adequately heated the room. An outlet next to the mirror in the main room would have been nice.
Positives: For the selected weekend, it was the lowest priced motel.
Negatives: Although the breakfast had a variety of choices, there was inadequate space and seating.

The staff were friendly, but if you plan on spending any amount of time in the room this place is not for you. The hotel is older, the rooms or bathrooms are very cramped and are severely in need of renovation and expansion, TV channels are limited, the mattresses are uncomfortable and very old, there is no internet access, virtually no available electrical outlets and virtually no working space. During my stay the pool was unavailable, as was the attached restaurant: had I known this in advance I would have stayed at newer hotels about 20-40 miles away, paid more, and commuted. The lack of commute is not worth the inconvenience here.
Positives: Sometimes they gave extra towels, and there was a small refrigerator in the room.
Negatives: Small rooms, poor ventilation, pool unavailable, restaurant unavailable, very limited continental breakfast, very cramped overall from rooms to lobby.

The room was clean and comfortable, the continental breakfast was nice, and the service was great.
Positives: The attendant was very helpful finding a swimming pool for our family.
Negatives: We chose this hotel for it's indoor swimming pool, but we weren't told that it was closed when we made our reservations.
