Nothing fancy but very clean. Close to Port Aransas also. We love being there. Too bad the fishing pier was sold.
Positives: Very nice people! Rooms are clean, nothing fancy but clean!
Negatives: No more fishing pier!

I would give it least than 1 star if I could. Balboa Courts used to be great place for a weekend stay before they were sold to a another company. The new company which just recently bought Balboa, had my reservations supposedly from the old owners before and took it upon themselves to charge my credit card a little just over $230 for a 2 night stay when it's normally about $160 but decided to also add other fees that I never heard of. Mind you that I've stayed at Balboa Courts many times with family and friends before so I know what the prices were for weekend stays and weekday stays. Then they have the nerve to charge my card at least 2 days in advance without notification of the new charges or even change if ownership and/or new charges of daily stays. So anyone debating to choose Balboa Courts for the weekend should think twice and ask many questions about the daily stay prices. The management was rude and then to top it all off the rooms are not even that great. But they were used to shower and sleep other than that no good. Try the many other places out there and believe me there are many out there. Good luck.
