Completed renovations transformed this hotel into a pleasant place that is easy to enjoy. Spacious room the size of a Houston studio-apt.

Positives: Stylish, Ikea-stocked, good locale.

Negatives: Too new.

When we required a change of room because the noise of the elevator ding and poor quality of the room, the accounting manager was great (she did compensate us with free breakfast buffets for 2 days). However my positive impression stops there. The halls were stained, the ceiling tiles were broken/mismatched. The bathroom toilet was atrocious as the lid was cracking, it had paint all over it. The tub tiles were painted over and in our first room there was a black substance in some of the grout. The tub also had a non-slip mat that looked horribly disgusting - I didn’t even want to touch my feet to it. The only thing updated in the bathroom was the sink. The bathrooms didn’t look clean (tiles, door, toilet, tub). The double pane windows looked as though it was done by an amateur constructionist (horribly done) and were marginally effective in keeping sound out. Half of the rooms were close to the elevator which had a deafening ding sound every 1-2 minutes, which kept you up all night. The hotel, although offered free WiFi, they didn’t have a business center. Moreover, the beds were not comfortable (to the standards of Sheraton Hotels) and the pillows were pathetic (mismatching from room to room) and flat/lumpy. In addition from room to room, the amenities vary (some missing) or are not the same quality (e.g. supposed to be Seattle’s Best Coffee in each room, but in ours, it was Maxwell House. I know that’s minor but that plays in the overall outlook of a hotel). Finally, there was no refrigerator or microwave. The towels felt like sand paper also. It just seemed this hotel was pieced together with marginal products and construction workers. I would never recommend this hotel to anyone as it is not worth the money spent.

Positives: The staff was friendly.

Negatives: The overall quality was poor.

The entrance was right off the highway so it is very easy to miss it and that was incredibly frustrating. Especially since it was hard to backtrack without getting on the highway again. They should get a bigger sign to make it easier to see.

Positives: Very comfortable beds.

Negatives: Internet connection was very slow.

I would use this hotel again. It was clean and comfortable. The room was very nice and the cleaning staff did a great job in cleaning it. Staff was friendly and professional. My children and I enjoyed our stay. This is the hotel I will use when I come back to Houston to visit my son who attends Texas Southern University.

Positives: It was clean, comfortable and staff was professional.

Negatives: Restaurant was a bit pricey and the food could be better.

it was a place to sleep, so it met its purpose. as for anything else...the lady at the check-in desk was rude. Every drink we ordered in the bar, they were out of...including beer, of all things. so overall...the only things they accommodated us with was a bed to sleep on.

Positives: Accessible to 610 and 59.

Negatives: The check in lady was rude and the bar didn't have hardly anything we wanted to order.

Convenient, lobby/restaurant area is very nice. Room is very nice and modern. Only thing I did not like was that the corridor was too short (in height), my head reached the ceiling, but the rooms are not quite as short.

Positives: Clean, modern amenities, new.

Negatives: Elevator, corridors too short (height).

Most of the desk staff were not particularly friendly. The rooms were ample in size. However the bathrooms were very small. The hotel is being renovated, so perhaps when the work is completed it will provide a more comfortable stay.

Positives: Location was fine and beds were comfortable.

Negatives: The hallway carpets were were shabby. The bath towels were dingy.

We just needed a room to sleep in that night. We didn't arrive until 9:30 pm and left at 8 am the next morning, so we were not able to see anything that the hotel had to offer, accept for the Buy 1 Get 1 Free drink coupon we received at check-in.

Positives: It was in close proximity to the hospital.

Negatives: Our room was directly in front of the elevator.

Positives: Very clean, very comfortable bed, friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Drinks hot in few available vending machines, no refrigerator in room.

We always arrive at this hotel. We lived in Houston for over 25yrs and lived in West University Place. We like the convenience and the perfect location. The rooms are perfect. No complaints what-so-ever.

Positives: Convenient location,

Negatives: The properties next door.

A/C would not cool the room and when I went to the front desk the only suggestion I got was to turn it off. Did not get much rest and a bearing on my rating of my stay.

Positives: Close to business.

Negatives: Parking lacked good security..Fences etc.

Although the location is excellent, the room had many deficiencies. Eventually I was moved to another room, but again the thermostat didn't work and even maintenance couldn't fix it. Staff was not particularly pleasant. I will not stay here again.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Thermostat didn't work, bedside light didn't work, no chair in room.

Room was good. Lobby and staff were welcoming. Elevators were scary and the hallways dark and dirty.

Positives: The room was large and spacious.

Negatives: The elevators are scary. Hallways dark and littered with dirty sheets and towels at check-in time.

The hotel was not as clean as expected, but was adequate. I would have expected more or better amenities considering the cost, but it was an overall pleasant stay.

Positives: The rooms were pleasant and the room temperature was easily controlled.

Negatives: As a single female traveler, I didn't appreciate getting a room right by the stairwell.

This hotel ruined the Sheraton name in my opinion.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Hotel staff was very rude and not truthful. They tell you things and do another.

One elevator did not work. I had to share the other 2 with maintenance people who took up half the elevator. It's unacceptable to wait 10 minutes for the elevator, and the emergency stairs do not even lead into the lobby. There is not wireless in the room. Everything is old and outdated.

Positives: It is a motel, not a 4 star hotel. I've stayed in plenty of 4 star hotels, and this is definitely not it.

Negatives: It's dirty. Out of 3 elevators, one don't work and we had to share the other 2 with maintenance people.

The hotel, overall, was one off the nicest that I have ever been in. It was fit for a romantic get away with my husband.

Positives: The room was like a home away from home, beautiful and spacious and very romantic.

Negatives: The pool was under renovation, so we didn't get the chance to swim.

The room had been remodeled and had a big comfortable bed. The staff was fantastic. The rest of the place was a mess. It rained while I was there and there were three spots where water was leaking in and chunks of the ceiling falling onto the hallways.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: The public spaces were trashed, with water and tiles falling from the ceiling.

Even with the construction going on I would stay there again. The bed was the best ever. The price was good. Overall it was a good experience.

Positives: The bed was the best hotel bed ever.

Negatives: Only 1 elevator out of 3 worked. There was no complimentary coffee in the lobby.

The staff was rude and unprofessional both over the phone and in person. I truly did not expect this type of service. I was also told upfront by desk help that they needed a credit card to secure a $50 deposit incase I took anything. How fabulous is that? I was too outdone with the security guard and other desk clerk were playing and yelling while I was checking in. Never again!

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Everything.
