We always try to stay at Embassy Suites hotels wherever we travel and have stayed at other Embassy Suites in the Dallas area. The services were consistent, the hotel was clean and rooms were comfortable. The breakfast quality was not as good as other Embassy Suites.
Positives: It was consistent with Embassy Suites services.
Negatives: Location was not in optimal area of Dallas.

I understand that there may be inconveniences during a hotel remodel, but the guest should be informed. I chose Embassy Suites because we visiting for a funeral and their atriums are always nice, and may be the family could come have a swim to relax. None of that was possible. The atrium was a gutted construction site and the pool closed. There was dust everywhere, the same dishes were in the hall when we arrived and when we left, hair on the tub and the lave drain stop did not work, and one of the keys didn't work well. I thought we were at the wrong place because one of the entrances was closed and there were boards on the lobby windows.
Positives: The staff was very nice in spite of the fact that the hotel was a wreck.
Negatives: No pool, atrium a construction site. Hammering until 7 p.m. and starting at 9 a.m., dust every where.

Slow waiters and several things needs repair. Its time to remodel and update this hotel. The elevators are in poor condition. Parking is underground and too small; it was very hard to drive in the parking lot not enough turning area. One way in the parking lot and one way out. I waited for 20 minutes for the elevator to reach my floor only to find out it was broke, several other guest were complaining. The phone service was sporadic.
Positives: Nice atrium; needs remodeled.
Negatives: Elevators do not work.

The hotel was nice, friendly and clean, offered underground parking. The full breakfast is an added amenity, but the food was over cooked and cold. At late arrival check in the room we requested was not available, I felt we were down graded, but were moved to requested room next afternoon, made it difficult as we were traveling with two young children, cut into our short trip. Two rooms in three days, double pack up.
Positives: Underground parking.
Negatives: Did not have the room I reserved at check in, we were moved to first choice the following day.

Very rude girl at check-in. Although we planned to stay longer, we went to a different hotel the next day. Hotel management was very responsive when I called to tell them about the rude service.
Positives: Right beside the "high 5" mix master.
Negatives: Bad attitude at check-in.
