Not even a 1 star. I have very young children and I was afraid to let them on the floor. Room REEKED of "weird" smoke smell!
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: In a bad neighbor hood, parking lot poorly light scary room.

The room was comfortable. I was not impressed with the way the occupied room was taken care of. The coffee station was not replenished nor was the room vacuumed.

Negatives: The coffee station was not replenished or cleaned and the room was not vacuumed.

This was more like a 1 star hotel (exterior doors, decor that needs remodeling), but sold as a 2 star. The La Quinta website states a free newspaper under amenities for this location, but when asked about it, the manager said that they were not one of those hotels (directed us to the nearby pay box). Someone eases personal items were in our room, we checked in and there was no new soap or shampoo for us (only the old soap from the last guest). When we mentioned this at check-out the manager simply said, sorry about that. Luckily the La Quinta in Wichita renewed our confidence in the company on the next night of our vacation.
Positives: Low price
Negatives: No soap/shampoo; items left in room on check-in; no newspaper as promised.

I'd call this a last-resort hotel. If there's nothing available at a Holiday Inn Express, Marriott or Hampton Inn, this La Quinta might be OK. The parking lot and stairwells were filthy. Elevator was out of order, which desk clerk didn't tell me after he'd assigned me a third-floor room. Air conditioner next to bed was like sleeping next to a jet engine that pumped out either frigid wind or humid puffs of miserable air. No in-between. Only stay here if you're too exhausted to try anywhere else.
Positives: Good cable TV choices.
Negatives: Third floor room. Elevator out of order. Stairs outdoors, long walk along narrow outdoor balcony carrying heavy bag. Exhausting in 100-degree heat.

Nice hotel a block off of the interstate with clean rooms and friendly staff. Good continental breakfast.
Positives: Clean, good free breakfast, good price.
Negatives: Crowded.

This hotel wasn't good. Our room number was painted on by the door, the toilet has urine in it when we checked in, the remote didn't work, the shower had mildew and the beds were as hard as rocks. Not impressed.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

The worst hotel that I experienced. It seemed that La Quinta had enough non smoking room. They could not change smoking to non-smoking. I could not stay there anymore, and I had no choice but to check out in an hour after my check-in. I have had very good experiences from priceline deals, but la Quinta ruined all these good feelings.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: The smell of the room.

Room was nice enough but two of the light fixtures in my room did not work, even after changing the bulb. The toilet also was refilling the tank on and off all the time due to a leak in the toilet (so the noise was bothersome).
Positives: Easy to find.
Negatives: No exercise room.

Good location. Rooms were small, but very clean. Be prepared, however, for the smell from the feedlots to be very strong when the wind is from the southwest.
Positives: Clean, comfortable rooms.
Negatives: Rooms were very small.

Not much more than an upscale motel 6. No vending machines, plastic cups, noisy AC. Very small room with the bare minimum. The smell of dairy cattle in the morning was almost enough to gag me.
Positives: It's cheap.
Negatives: The stench of dairy cattle.

All in all, it was a good, easy stay. The only thing I would have changed is the noise coming in from the parking lot.
Positives: Very friendly staff. Convenient location, right off the interstate.
Negatives: A little bit noisy.

Friendly staff, good breakfast, water pressure was poor.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: We were put on the 3rd floor.

I stayed at this hotel twice in a week's time. The first room I had was above average, the second was below average. It doesn't take much to clean up trash out of the bathroom's floor. There were also no cups by the ice bucket. Quite a contrast depending on what room you're in. Also, I spilled some juice on the floor during the second day and the person working the front desk didn't get me help to clean it up my daughter and I did it ourselves. I think he should have at least gotten a mop or called housekeeping. The floor was sticky when we left.
Positives: Easy access from highway, but not right on highway.
Negatives: Trash in bathroom and tub was disgusting.

The morning we checked out, the air was so foul, it was hardly bearable. I would not recommend this hotel to others.
Positives: The young woman at the front desk was delightful.
Negatives: Stained tub. Ceiling above tub dirty.

Pleasant stay, would recommend.
Positives: Good sized rooms an WiFi access.
Negatives: Sign in bathroom said to ask the front desk if you forgot something and they didn't have something as basic as a Toothbrush.

Toilet did not work upon arrival and we could never get it fixed during our stay.
Positives: Could park in front of room.
Negatives: Room was very smoky smelling.

I arrived at the motel around 2:30 AM after being on the road for about 12 hours (and losing an hour when we crossed from MST into CST) and was told that my rooms were not available because I didn't arrive before midnight -- but not to worry, they would find me rooms; they just probably wouldn't be together. I requested a king for one of the rooms if possible and was told that it would not be possible to change rooms. Not a problem. I understand that. After much research on the computer and looking through the card file records, we were finally given key cards to our two rooms. I sent my elderly parents to their room (thankfully on the first floor) and my daughter went to our room (on the third floor) as I unloaded a few overnight bags for each of the two rooms. My daughter inserted her key into the door of our room and got the green light, but when she pushed on the door, it would not open all the way. She tried to open the door several more times since it seemed to open a little way, then stopped. She thought perhaps something had fallen over and was partially blocking the door. To her horror, some unfortunate soul (probably awakened from a deep sleep and thinking someone was trying to break into their room) started yelling threatening obscenities at her from inside the room. By this time it's probably 3 AM. My daughter is only 17 years old and was horrified and terribly upset by the experience. We collected our things and headed back to the front desk only to find my parents there -- they had the exact same experience with their room. The clerk was on the phone with several irate guests reporting that people were trying to break into their rooms. He finally got off of the phone and apologized for the mix-up. We waited while he went through the whole computer and card file routine looking for new rooms for us. After being denied a king room when I requested it for my parents.
Positives: Nice breakfast and day time staff was very accommodating.
Negatives: Inefficient staff during night, construction noise.

Friendly staff; it wasn't their fault I was stuck with a smoking room. Otherwise just a standard hotel, nothing special.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: Was stuck with a smoking room.
