A US post office, Whitesburg Elementary School and East Ridge Middle School, parts of the Hamblen County school system, are located in Whitesburg. Whitesburg is a close, mainly farming community. It is home to a variety of people, from farmers to lawyers. Local restaurants include Karl & Kathy’s Kountry Kitchen, Morelia Mexican Grill, El Azteca, and Di’s Diner.
