Had a room booked through a convention service but added extra nights for an area
which happened to be same hotel. room booked through convention was beautiful, when
I transfered to the room, it was very dated - a much older maintained room. Facility was beautiful, great for family to get lost in but a little frustrating for business traveler who stayed lost trying to find convention rooms.

Positives: Inclusive.

Negatives: Almost too big to find your way around easily.

This hotel should have had a lot more music and associated itself with the Opry which it did not at all. Would have rather stayed Downtown with the music and taken a shuttle the the Opry performance.

Positives: Did not like anything about it.

Negatives: The dome with tropical setting.

It is worth staying here once. The rooms are nice, the atrium's with trees, orchids, streams are spectacular. But everything is outrageously expensive. This place is in the middle of nowhere, yet they charge $18/day for parking. The place is bigger than many small cities.

Positives: The atrium's were spectacular.

Negatives: Prices at restaurants and coffee shops, and price for parking and resort fee was outrageous.

This was a wonderful hotel to take the kids ages 12-year and 8-year-old too. They loved running around and seeing all the different fountains.

Positives: Everything!

Negatives: Prices.

The Gaylord Opryland Hotel is beautiful. I think robes in the room would have added a nice touch. The location is good if you are going to see shows at the Opry. We wanted to see and spend time in the downtown area which was a 20 minute drive. There is shuttle service to the downtown area that leaves once an hour for a fee. (approx $20 round trip)

Positives: This hotel is beautiful. Check in attendant was very helpful.

Negatives: Concierge was always busy. There was no readily available info about area entertainment and activities.

This was my second stay at the Opryland. It was a fantastic trip. We stayed in an amazing junior suite. I enjoy just walking along the "trails" and walkways and taking in the beautiful scenery. This hotel deserves more stars. It is probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed in, including some five star hotels.

Positives: Lots to do, beautiful gardens, waterfalls, and fountains.

Negatives: Almost too big, can be confusing to get around.

I enjoy staying at nice hotels and don't mind paying for them, but this hotel, and everything about it, was over-priced. Do yourself a favor and stay somewhere else in Nashville. If you're interested in seeing the decorations, or a show, then stay somewhere else and drive or take a cab.

Positives: Daughter liked the Christmas lights.

Negatives: Way overpriced.

They will not honor the exact room I paid you for in June. I paid for a balcony room with king size bed and I received a room with two full size beds.

Positives: It was beautiful.

Negatives: The room.

Probably the nicest hotel we've stayed or visited. Shops closed early. Shuttle to Grand Ole Opry was frustrating as the lines were long and not enough shuttles to handle the crowd at show time.

Positives: Like staying in a tropical island!

Negatives: Big, very hard to find your way around. $15 a day incidental charge.

Excellent experience. I will never forget it. It is definitely something you want to see!

Positives: The gardens and surroundings were literally breathtaking.

Negatives: Restaurant prices were just a bit too high for what they offered.

It's very apparent the hotel doesn't like customers that purchase rooms from third party vendors. After we checked in and were taken to our room, we discovered it wasn't a room, but half of a suite. The half that has no bed but rather a sleeper sofa. My 6'4" husband and I got to share a 4" pull out couch mattress. The roll a way for my child had a thicker mattress. The manager at the front counter's only excuse was they were oversold for the night. I am saddened as we have gone to the hotel for years to enjoy the holiday spirit, however, I think Scrooge has moved in. Also agree with other reviews that there is an undisclosed fee for everything. Couldn't wait to get home, just an awful experience.

Positives: Sit-down restaurants had good food.

Negatives: No customer service attitude.

Wonderful place! So much to do in a close area. The mail is so close. Kids things to do all over. We had grandchildren with us and they had a ball. We will visit again! A week just flew by with all there is to do at the hotel and in Nashville.

Positives: The whole place is wonderful. So much to see/do.

Negatives: Long walks to front, where we picked up car.

When we checked in they gave us a room that did not have an actual bed, just a pullout sofa. Did you guys know they do that? We were not notified at checkout. I obviously objected so after about 30 minutes they gave us another room. They did not handle the crowds well with the shuttles and such, which are odd, because the place is built for huge crowds. It just seemed like everywhere you turned there was overpriced poor service. We had a nice weekend, but will not stay there again.

Positives: Lots of room to roam around without being outside in the weather.

Negatives: $15 per night resort fee for 2 waters, a paper, and 10 local calls.

Hotel was clean, staff was accommodating and the location was excellent. We didn't have to get the car out during our stay. There was so much to do in and around the area that we didn't have to go anywhere that transportation was not provided.

Positives: It was self contained, good location, always something to do.

Negatives: Nothing we did not like.

Upon entering the hotel you see a beautiful lobby and the front desk was very nice. We were given an upgrade but honestly had we not been given the upgrade I don't believe the room would have been much different. You had to pay a $15 dollar resort fee per day as well as an $18 per day parking fee. The resort is located on acres of land with plenty of parking. I could see having to pay if we were in the city and parking was limited but that was not the case. As far as the $15 per day resort fee all that got you was 2 bottles of water and the opportunity to use the pool and fitness center, which is included in the rate of any other hotel I have ever stayed at.

Positives: The lobby was beautiful.

Negatives: You had to pay for parking.

Wonderful hotel with plenty to do and enjoy! Only downfall is the parking prices. $18 per entry for self-parking and $25 a day for valet.

Positives: Wonderful common areas and plenty to do.

Negatives: Parking rates were too high.

This hotel was convenient to the places we needed to go to. There was plenty to do in the hotel while my husband was in meetings. I enjoyed the stay very much. It was a nice little get-a-way for us, even though he had business for some of the stay.

Positives: I liked everything about this hotel, I would go back and recommend to everyone!

Negatives: Nothing bad to say.

Had the opportunity to be an exhibitor at a recent show held at the Nashville location. I was not impressed. It was so big and difficult to get around. They need to take lessons from Vegas. Getting unloaded took 4 hours and when we wanted to leave, the personnel was rude and not helpful. Plan on staying an extra day. It takes that long to get loaded and out after the show.

Positives: The weather.

Negatives: NA.

Have been there twice. Don't know if we will return - beautiful, but expensive.

Positives: Beautiful interior.

Negatives: Charged for daily parking and the restaurant was expensive.

All in all, if you are able to splurge a little and are looking for a romantic getaway, this was terrific. The hidden fees were a little disappointing (paying for parking, the "resort" fee, etc.). That was the only negative. We had a great time.

Positives: The ambience was incredible. My husband and I went for our 5 year anniversary and had a blast.

Negatives: The staff ignored some trash and dishes in the hallway to our room for almost an entire day.

We came for the quilt show - it took forever to get someone to help get scooters for two of our handicapped friends which reserved them weeks ahead - staff did not know where to direct us to them. We could not find the center to the quilt show and staff was not very helpful. The facility was very pretty but a lot of work to get places we needed directions to.

Positives: Very pretty, a lot to do under one roof.

Negatives: Staff not helpful and too expensive.

I was a resort experience. In my opinion the gardens and water features in a climate controlled environment are the best reasons to stay at this hotel. It is a trip to downtown and the cost to shuttle from the hotel is $18 per person.

Positives: I loved the gardens and water features. The climate controlled atrium was wonderful.

Negatives: Some rooms had balconies and some did not.

I really enjoyed the feel of the hotel, and the lovely grounds. Great food. The only thing I didn't like was the extra cost. So much add on for fees and tax, just unreal how much it added to our cost. I stayed downtown Renaissance, great place, better price:.

Positives: Beautiful landscaping, room, and food.

Negatives: Unexpected additional prices.
