Great, helpful, knowlegeable staff. Comfortable bed. Great mocha frosted chocolate cake. Best ever. Ultra quiet hotel. Located within easy drive to downtown and attractions.

Negatives: Close to the airport, only heard occassional jets.

For a short stop and access to the Nashville airport, The Hotel Preston is great. However, don't expect anything fancy. I don't think this could really even compare to the other 3 star hotels.

Positives: Very close to the airport. Location was great.

Negatives: There was nothing upscale about this hotel.

It was a fantastic hotel. If I can get it through priceline again, I'll be thrilled to go back there. It has a modern, loft feel to it. The staff was fantastic.

Positives: I loved the staff's friendliness and professionalism.

Negatives: The long hallway in my room. Of course, if that's all I didn't like, it's a good hotel.

The Hotel Preston far exceeded my expectations. The decor gives the hotel a luxurious, modern, posh, and trendy feel. I felt as if I were in a friend's guest room rather than a simple hotel room. The hotel is welcoming and inviting. I wish there was a category above "upscale, plus." It seems as if the category "deluxe" is reserved for hotels larger than the Hotel Preston. However on this same trip, we stayed at the Marriott in Atlanta which was also "upscale plus." The Marriott paled in comparison to the Hotel Preston.

Positives: The decor was amazing!

Negatives: Even though the location was idea for being by the airport, I wish it had a view.

This hotel is a 40-year-old hotel that they have remodeled, but in my opinion they missed the modern look and instead made it a dark box. The staff was very polite, but the hotel should never have been rated a 3-1/2 star. I was very disappointed.

Positives: Location and pool.

Negatives: We actually left because of the beds were so poor ( could feel the springs). Elevators were very slow, overall design very dark.

Great hotel, elegant feel and friendly staff.

Positives: I enjoyed the decor, staff and the location of this facility.

Negatives: I did not like the location of my room to the elevator I could hear the elevator chime all night long.

If they could they would charge you for the air you breath.

Positives: Beds were comfortable.

Negatives: Black and red colors everywhere.

They tried to update this hotel, but it still showed that it was old. The furniture was worn, and the color scheme dark and dreary.

Positives: The staff was friendly.

Negatives: It was dark and uncomfortable atmosphere.

Overall, good location and great staff, my room had a good view too.

Positives: The staff changed our room right away when

Negatives: First room assigned had a terrible smell to it.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 25 May 2011 rated 1 out of 10.

This hotel was horrible. The check in took over 20 minutes as there was a line of 7 guests and one useless front desk woman. Hotel stunk of mold and smoke. It obviously was a Motel 6 or Red Roof that they put a fresh coat of paint on and tried to call it 3 stars. The room stunk. The rug was wet everywhere. The sink, toilet and shower were clogged. The door was broken as was the TV.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: Everything. Place was a pit. If you take an old smelly hotel and add a coat a paint it's still a dive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 27 Apr 2011 rated 8 out of 10.

This was an older hotel but updated with a lot of modern touches. Overall, it was a great stay. We loved the artwork displayed all through the hotel. The only downside was that there was a charge of $8.95 per day for Wi-Fi.

Positives: Loved the decor and artwork.

Negatives: They charged for Wi-Fi.

Ok hotel kind of off the beaten path. No indoor pool and really not for children. Room was nice and free parking.

Positives: Comfortable room.

Negatives: No indoor pool, small selection of TV channels and no children's, no restaurants near by.

This hotel was listed as a 3.5 hotel. There is no way that is accurate. This hotel was dirty inside and out. The rooms smelled terrible. They had used a very strong unpleasant deodorizer. One of the elevators wasn't working. The men's room in the lobby was filthy. Every time we were on the elevator with other people, the people made a comment about what a "dump" the hotel was. The lock on our door was misaligned and it was extremely difficult to get the door to lock. I will never bid for a 3.5 hotel in this area again for fear of getting this hotel.

Positives: It has a decent location.

Negatives: It smells, it is dirty, elevator did not work, furnishings need replacement.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 11 Apr 2011 rated 3 out of 10.

It is not a hotel I would choose again. It was not clean and the elevator didn't show the correct floor you were wanting to exit on. The lobby is very small.

Positives: The bed was comfortable.

Negatives: One of the beds was not clean, sheets showed they had been sat on or slept in.

Noisy room with bar noise all night, no amenities, by noisy ice machine, 2 star room sold as 3+ star room.

Positives: Lobby was nice.

Negatives: Noise from bar was load in our room.

The hotel was nice but appeared outdated.

Positives: Not crowded and easy check in and check out.

Negatives: The shower was not working properly. Low pressure.

This is a great hotel for a romantic get-away. Loved the live music in the lounge, which you could hear throughout the first floor lobby. This hotel has great atmosphere and a very friendly staff.

Positives: The lounge and atmosphere at the hotel was great. Loved the live jazz and blues music at night.

Negatives: Our room was laid out fairly typical of most hotels, but you could tell it wasn't kept up previously. Was expecting a little more, but not bad.

This is an older property that was previously a low-mid range hotel. Although remodeled and slightly updated, it lacks in appropriate furnishings, decorations, work areas and bathroom facility. Bathroom is ultra small and dimly lit. Television was very small, with only about eight channels. Two major channels, ABC and FOX were not operational and staff did not off any assistance to rectify problem.

Positives: Decent bed.

Negatives: Itsy, bitty and

The building is old, run down, but freshly painted. Its clear it was renovated, but all the renos are surface. The shower didn't drain, the plumbing was clearly old, the walls old plaster concrete (in the rooms). It was clean, and pleasant, just not worth the rating you've given it. We stayed at a holiday Inn (3 star) for another night on this trip and it was much nicer.

Positives: Location was great.

Negatives: It was home reno nice.

Loved the Preston! Very friendly staff! Will visit again soon.

Positives: Nothing.

Negatives: My entire experience.

We stayed in this hotel 15 years ago and it was less than positive. This time it had been upgraded to a degree and was mediocre. A few more dollars would have made it nice. Still had signs of being an old building. Will stay again for same price.

Positives: Friendly staff.

Negatives: Older building that had moderate updates.

Paid for two rooms online before arrival. 9/15 through 9/18. When we got to room after my husband had chemo at hospital we find our room locked and the commode that we had reported stopped up still stopped up. Desk clerk clamed we only paid for two nights instead of three. After a few sharp remarks, they unlocked our room and unstopped commode. By that time the room smelled. Maintenance guy told us he had never seem a room locked like that before. My husband has multiple myeloma. He is going to get a stem cell transplant at Vanderbilt. That is why he was taking chemo.

Positives: The bed was comfortable.

Negatives: Desk clerk rude.

One night stay to catch early morning flight, but I never did feel comfortable in hotel. Older hotel and it seemed that what once was nice is now being pulled down by surroundings and neighborhood. Pizza company wouldn't deliver, but never did say why. Room was clean.

Positives: The location.

Negatives: Did not feel safe & secure.

I went to the restraunt for dinner. I entered with two other patrons. There was no one to greet or seat. We waited a long time and had no service. The other two parties left. I finally went to the kitchen to ask if they were closed. They said no. and found some a waiter. He was very cold and made no appology for the wait. The food was OK but I will never stay there again.

Positives: Front desk staff was great.

Negatives: The restaurant was bad.

Very nice and unique hotel. It was really more like an apartment than a traditional hotel in architecture. It was in a residential area and there was lots of security that made us feel very safe. Staff was friendly and very accommodating.

Positives: Clean, comfortable and unique styling of the entire hotel.

Negatives: Did not have a gift shop or vending on all floors. Vending on the even number floors only.

Enjoyed our stay. Very quiet hotel with modern decor. Convenient location directly off I-40. We would definitely return.

Positives: Very quiet. Modern decor. Nice location.

Negatives: Hotel key card required for elevator.

On the plus side, I found the staff without question to be friendly and helpful. I got a great price through Priceline but if I hadn't gotten such a smoking deal I'd have been outraged. This hotel only has double beds in it's rooms with two beds. Unfortunately, we were a party of four. That probably would have been okay if they had been comfortable but the mattresses were springy and not at all comfortable. The pillows were also not nice quality. In our second room (we stayed both coming and going from the airport) the duvet was very, very heavy and it was the middle of a heat wave (which the air conditioner couldn't keep pace with). Also, the complimentary robe hanging in the bathroom was not clean nor did the coffee mugs appear to have been washed (something about the white towel lint in them made them look unusable to me). In our first room the telephones didn't work and we weren't provided with any conditioner. During the rest of the trip we ended up at a chain hotel that I'm sure is a two star kind of place but it was far nicer than Hotel Preston turned out to be although the staff at Hotel Preston certainly offered nicer service and the hotel did look fancier.

Positives: Great price. Friendly staff.

Negatives: Springy, hard double beds. Robe dirty. No conditioner. Air conditioner couldn't keep pace with heat. Broken phones. Double beds!

Easy access, good service, nice pillows!

Positives: Nice people, easy to find.

Negatives: MY fault - forgot to request non-smoking. I stunk!

I stayed one night. The restaurant was good, the swimming pool and<BR/>the fitness room was good enough for me. The room was clean and comfortable. I used my money worthwhile.

Positives: Quiet and friendly and close to the airport.

Negatives: Nothing

The hotel is acceptable but not as a 3.5 star. It is more likely 2.5 star. I was only disappointed because for the hotel my expectations were different.

Positives: Bed was very comfortable.

Negatives: Furnishings in all areas worn out.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 16 Jul 2010 rated 8 out of 10.

I reserved this hotel for a three-night stay via Priceline's Name Your Price feature. Once I found out we would be staying at Hotel Preston, I was very disappointed based on the reviews from other customers. It seemed like everyone had something to complain about which didn't bode well for our impending stay. I have to say I was presently surprised once we checked in. The hotel was conveniently located, our room was large and clean and the beds were quite comfortable. Other reviewers complained about the noise but we did not find it to be an issue. Granted, the AC ran constantly and probably drowned out a lot of background noise but that was fine with me. The hotel decor was interesting and a bit tired but tolerable. Hotel staff was friendly and helpful. My complaints are that I requested a king room and got a double, high speed internet was not free and the only cable news available was CNN (yes, conservatives do travel, folks). Overall, for what we paid, I found this hotel to be a good value although I would have been slightly disappointed had we paid full price.

Positives: Convenient location, clean room, comfortable bed, friendly staff, better than expected based on other reviews.

Negatives: Reserved a king room, got double, no Fox News, charge for internet, needs new carpet.

This hotel felt like it had been a very old, run-down hotel that got a funky renovation 10 years ago. The staff seemed nice, but the rooms were not extremely clean and the pool was small and sparse. Good location. We did not try the restaurant or business center.

Positives: The location was good.

Negatives: The hotel was tacky, out-dated and somewhat run down.

Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 07 Jun 2010 rated 9 out of 10.

The elevators were decorated weird and did not go with the rest of the hotel decor. This hotel was a great stay for the price that I paid and I will have no problem staying there again. My only advice is make sure you leave nothing behind because they will claim they can not find it.

Positives: It was a very nice hotel or the amount that

Negatives: No air in the restroom and the pool was to warm.

I thoroughly enjoyed this hotel, the staff was more than friendly and very fast in serving us. We ordered room service and outside of the price the food was GREAT!

Positives: The ambiance of the place.

Negatives: There was no refrigerator in the room.

The hotel is very easy to get to from the interstate. The front desk staff was very friendly and helpful about what was going on in/around the hotel and Nashville area. The shuttle driver, was the most helpful of all, very personable and nice. He called us by name every time when he saw us - very personable.

Positives: The location is perfect and the staff was very helpful and friendly.

Negatives: Nothing.

My experience at Hotel Preston was great. The bed was extremely comfortable, it was nice and quiet, and the room was spacious. I also loved that they used Aveda products, one of my favorite product lines.

Positives: Anything I needed, the hotel staff provided to my room including a microwave &amp; refrigerator.

Negatives: There is not free wireless Internet in the rooms.

Really enjoyed and would love to stay here again.

Positives: Great decor and lovely staff.

Negatives: Room door needs to be more secure old locks.

The bathrooms could use a remodel and lighting significantly improved. This is not a 3 1/2 star hotel.

Positives: Close proximity to Airport.

Negatives: The age, condition, lighting &amp; decor of rooms.

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 20 Apr 2010 rated 2 out of 10.

I would describe this hotel as similar to putting lipstick on a pig. The initial impression is favorable until you actually spend time here. The moment I opened the door of the room it smelled of cigar and cigarette smoke. One washcloth per day. The exercise room is absolutely disgraceful. Two of the most miserable days of my life!

Positives: Nothing

Negatives: Cigar smoke, one washcloth, airplanes flying over constantly.
