Love the location and the decor or being in historic location, etc. however, I am a frequent traveler and know hotel rating/scales/expectations and this was worst Marriott courtyard (amenity/friendliness wise) I have ever been to.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: No reward points. No advance room preference.

Fantastic location and excellent staff, the Marriott Courtyard Downtown Nashville was well worth the Priceline price.
Positives: Great staff and view from room.
Negatives: Strange room layout, awesome view though.

Did not like that the only option to park our rental car was to pay valet $22 per night. OK hotel; not much of a lobby area, no breakfast amenities.
Positives: Situated in downtown area.
Negatives: View of noisy air conditioner unit on roof.

Great time. Big room. Unmatched service in a perfect spot.
Positives: Service
Negatives: TV channels

It was a great hotel, location was great, rooms were great and the beds were comfortable.
Positives: The beds were so comfy.
Negatives: They said they would give us a roll away but then said they couldn't.

It was fine, good location, clean room. Bathroom sink was outside of bathroom, and did not have a hanger for a hand towel, or much room to put anything.
Positives: Location, and clean.
Negatives: No parking available without paying a valet, sink setup was weird.

Perfect location, great views, extremely clean hotel. Parking was $22 per night that no one ever bothered to tell us about until check out.
Positives: Excellent location!
Negatives: Overpriced parking.

Everyone was very helpful, the place was beautiful, and with the help of Priceline, affordable.
Positives: The location was perfect for our trip, the hotel was quiet at night, no disturbances.
Negatives: The room did not have a refrigerator or microwave which would have been nice.

Wonderful hotel. Staff was very helpful and friendly. Rooms were clean and the location of the hotel was perfect. Only thing disappointing was the valet parking. $22.00 a night. We had 2 cars for 4 nights so we had to drop about $200 for parking after taxes.
Positives: Location was excellent.
Negatives: Valet parking too expensive.

The hotel is downtown near the State buildings. It is on a busy street with no visitor parking available. The hotel has a breakfast buffet, but no entertainment of evening meals. Restaurants downtown close around 5:00 pm. Entertainment and good restaurants are approximately 6 blocks away. The hotel is clean and staff friendly. It is a non-smoking hotel which was great!
Positives: Beds were comfortable.
Negatives: Parking was impossible except valet at $22 a day.

Other than the valet parking being to high, I really have nothing negative too say. It was a really nice hotel.
Positives: Close to where we wanted to go Broadway Street.
Negatives: Price of valet parking is too high.

The hotel was very clean, the workers were polite and friendly, and the location was excellent. Parking is very expensive (I now understand why valet parking is necessary) and check in proved to be difficult because of the heavy traffic at the time I checked in.
Positives: The location is very well located for both business and pleasure.
Negatives: Parking is very expensive and turned what I thought was an excellent value into only a good value.

I would not stay at this location again, it was too congested, not easy access to the hotel. Only parking available was valet and it was too expensive.
Positives: Price.
Negatives: Very hard to get to, there is no parking and valet couldn't keep up.

Probably the largest room I have ever encountered at this level of hotel. I cannot complain about the facility in any regard. I complement them on the way the staff conducted themselves from arrival to departure. Because most of the Courtyard facilities I visit are not located in the heart of a major downtown area, I am not used to having to pay for parking and I do not like having cover a charge that equals twenty percent of my room rate although I was aware of daily fee when I made the reservation. I still am surprised by the amount of space in the room I was provided, it was enormous by most hotel standards.
Positives: Downtown location, room size and bell staff.
Negatives: Parking charge.

Very comfortable, clean and has a friendly, helpful staff. Great location.
Positives: Staff was excellent - location was excellent. Great value for our money through Priceline.
Negatives: Parking & valet entrance was hard to find and right on a very busy street. No place to pull off for safety.

At check-in, female clerk not very friendly at all. Nothing plush or comfy about the room or lobby. Very clean but stark and cold presentation. No warm and fuzzy feeling here. Bathroom floor tile very painful to walk on in bare feet. ( No grouting just 90 degree angled edges). Clerk refused to give us a room with two beds of any size. Parking costs $22.00 per night! This hotel had no swimming pool. (Share one at another hotel). Room very small. Not a 4 star hotel!
Positives: Valet and bellboys were excellent, young, mannerly.
Negatives: Way over-rated!

Location was great for experiencing downtown Nashville.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Valet parking on second day was a little slow.

I love the hotel it is close to all the events that I am involved in. Just wished they offered a discounted rate for emergency medical tech. And county sheriffs dept dispatchers. When you travel you have food and room expenses. It makes it hard when a family of three tries to have a good weekend when the first 1000.00 goes to room and food. They have no smoking rooms available it seems the country is holding people hostage on the simple things in life. Before long it will be that everyone stays at home so they can relax with a drink and a smoke.
Positives: Close to the attractions that I visit.
Negatives: To expensive.

Good location if visiting downtown Nashville. Parking is rough though. Rooms are average, nothing special. Staff were friendly.
Positives: Very good location in downtown Nashville.
Negatives: Very difficult to park.

A great location for downtown, shopping, sight seeing or concerts at the Gaylord. There are lots of parking facilities in Nashville but it was great to just pull up, check in and valet $15.00 (not too bad for one night). Hotel was very clean, but the bathroom door stuck, it had been previously repaired but was loose and not rechecked.
Positives: Had perfect access to downtown, and the Gaylord center. It was clean, and the rooms were large. Valet parking was great.
Negatives: Kind of pricey. Another bad thing was our room looked over printers alley & the party could be heard all night.

We could not get a simple request made of a non smoking room even though there were rooms available, we were told those rooms would be kept available for regular higher paying guests. The stuff in the room was old, the phone did not work. Looked more like being in a budget hotel and not a Marriott.
Positives: The location, walking distance to places to eat & entertainment.
Negatives: The staff and the age of the hotel.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 12 Jul 2006 rated 1 out of 10.
I am very disappointed in this hotel. I did not expect to have to pay 35.00 just to park my car... and on top of that it ended up being scratched up when it was returned to me. The hotel will not return my phone calls. My car was just fully repainted 3 days before I arrived at the hotel. I AM MAD!
Positives: Free use of computers.
Negatives: My car was severely scratched while in custody of valet parking / I had to pay for parking.
