The hotel seemed very upscale. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and safe. Security guards were always visible.
Positives: The room was very comfortable.
Negatives: Price of parking.

The hotel was a nice place to stay. I didn't like that fact that I had a smoking room with double beds. I also didn't like the surprise of finding out I would have to pay 21 extra dollars on top of the room cost for valet parking.
Positives: I liked the location.
Negatives: I didn't care for the smoking room.

Very nice. Good valet parking. Convenient to everything in downtown Memphis. You are able to enjoy the Peabody without the expense of staying there. Walking distance to good restaurants. The hotel staff was so helpful and friendly. Room was very nice and quiet. We will stay here again
Positives: Location is fantastic. Next door to the Peabody. Great hotel for the money.
Negatives: Everything was great. No hotel restaurant. It opens into TGI Fridays. Great food in Memphis other places.

Very friendly staff; close to Beale St. We loved the complimentary warm Chocolate Chip cookies. Very clean, comfortable beds and pillows.
Positives: Friendliness and of course the warm COOKIES.
Negatives: No complimentary breakfast. $21.00 valet fee per day. A small fridge would have been nice.

This hotel overall was amazing. It was extremely nice and it was nice to have TGI Fridays right inside the hotel as well. The room was very comfortable and had wonderful views.
Positives: This hotel was immaculate. The staff was pretty friendly and the room was amazing.
Negatives: The room was slightly dusty and had nail clippings on the carpet. Also, there were people running the halls all night banging doors.

Overall, nice hotel with good location. Unfortunately, there was no mini fridge or DVD player located inside the room.
Positives: Nice, upscale hotel, conveniently located in the downtown area.
Negatives: Valet was twenty dollars a day and there were poor options for alternative parking. Had to park far away.

The hotel is clean, and the staff is friendly. The only bummer is the money saved using Priceline is eaten up in mandatory valet parking fees.
Positives: Easy to find.
Negatives: Required valet parking charge.

Had a second floor corner room above TGIF's. One window was so covered in a grease film you could not see out of it. Directly outside the other window was a construction worker on scaffolding literally feet from our bed. Creepy! Ceiling vents in the room and bathroom were covered with half an inch of dust/grime that moved in the breeze. Room smelled a bit musty. Allergies really kicked in after 10 minutes of arrival. Be aware: Every Wednesday is bike night on Beale Street, so the deafening noise from the bikes will keep you awake until after the bars close!
Positives: Good location, comfortable beds.
Negatives: Off-site expensive parking, smelled musty.

Negatives: Restaurant.

Negatives: Too much construction inside the hotel.

The hotel was probaby a decent place to stay if we could have had a non smoking room.
Positives: Walking distance to Beale Steet.
Negatives: We were booked into a smoking room disgusting hotel would not give us a NON smoking room.

It was nice and clean. The concierge was friendly and it was very close to Beale st. However, our first room's air conditioner leaked all over the floor and created a huge wet spot on the floor. When we called the "care line" they said they would send some one up but no one ever came. We finally had to tell the concierge about it and they moved us to a different room. I asked for a trash can in the new room via the care line <BR/>and never got one. There was extensive rennovation going on onour floor and we had to dodge dumpsters and old mattresses. The new room was nice and newly redone.
Positives: The rooms were recently redone, new, stylish and clean.
Negatives: The customer care line was a joke. Nothing ever came of calls made.

We loved this place, it is great for location and comfort. The staff was above and beyond. I thought I had left my suger meter at the hotel and the staff went and looked for it, called me on my cell and helped me find it. I will go back.
Positives: The comfort of the bed was great.
Negatives: The Toe Nail in the floor that did not belong to us.

Room was ok. Curtains were broken. We didn't spend that much time in the room or hotel just two nights. Parking is horrible and I do not feel you should have to pay to park your car.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Parking was horrible, had to valet park or park on the street.

I enjoyed my stay at the Doubletree downtown Memphis. There is a trolley a few blocks away for transport to the convention center for $1. Or, you can walk it, either way. The staff was very nice and polite. This hotel is in the center of Memphis social life. It's near Beale Street. It's near some famous Memphis restaurants. The Rendezvous is just around the corner. The Peabody Hotel is next door and is a nice place to gather for drinks and to listen to the pianist play standards. My room was small but well appointed. There was a funky old or chemical smell in the closet. I don't know if it was musty or what.
Positives: Good location, friendly, helpful staff, free WiFi; great restaurants in area.
Negatives: Business center just ok, offset by Kinko's next door.

Excellent location, cleaned daily, would definitely stay again.

Positives: Location.
Negatives: Nothing. Except maybe that the pool was closed for the off-season and the beds were a bit smaller.

It was not difficult to locate the hotel; was surprised the hotel only had valet parking.
Positives: The front desk clerks were very courteous when we checked in.
Negatives: The lighting in the hall (outside the hotel room) could have been better.

Great hotel! I want to stay there again! Everyone from the valet-man to the desk clerks to the room service ladies were as friendly as they could be.
Positives: Terrific room, comfy (though small) bed, great location in downtown Memphis, fun and well- appointed lobby, really friendly staff.
Negatives: The hallways heading to the rooms were hot, musty and sort of seemed old and maybe a little moldy.

Good hotel for business travelers or people in Memphis on vacation that want to be centrally located to the attractions. The lobby was cluttered and uninviting, the staff was indifferent, parking cost $20 a day, room was not detail-cleaned to the expectation of a 3-star hotel. There was mold stains on the ceiling of the bathroom, both the bathroom door and room door were dirty and had not been wiped off in some time. There were numerous stains on the carpets throughout the common areas of the hotel, giving it a run-down feeling. The hotel did not provide a display of local attractions and what little they had was out-dated. The quality of the staff, condition of the amenities, level of cleanliness throughout the hotel, and cleanliness of the room were not close to 3-star quality.
Positives: It was convenient to Beale Street and other attractions.
Negatives: Service and cleanliness were 2-star quality at best.

The hotel is in close proximity to Beale Street which probably explains the dire condition of its rooms. The carpets need replacing and the bath needed tile repair and a good cleaning (corners count too!). The Fridays Restaurant opened early and closed late, making it an easy choice for our meals. The bed was very comfortable. The auto valets were prompt. If it had new carpet and clean baths, it would be a repeat choice. But that carpet smelled really bad and felt grimy beneath our feet. We kept our shoes on the entire time.
Positives: The staff was extremely friendly and courteous.
Negatives: The carpet was abominable.

Nice and clean, great staff, convenient to Beale Street. Parking was a little expensive at $20.00 a day.
Positives: The beds were very comfortable. Everything was very clean.
Negatives: The double beds were very small, almost like twin size, but comfy.

Negatives: My confirmation was lost.

Pleasant atmosphere with friendly, home-like staff. The accommodations were above our expectations and Clifton w/ the Valet Team was a superb source. My visit was for leisure this time around and I will be planning another leisurely trip for my wife, children, and myself again soon. I highly recommend the Doubletree Downtown Memphis. Thanks.
Positives: Friendly staff, prompt valet, w/in walking distance of everything we needed.
Negatives: Nothing. Everything was quite adequate.

I would highly recommend the Doubletree for any traveler. I took 5 of my girlfriends out for my best friend's 22nd birthday and all the fun hot spots were within walking distance. The staff was so sweet and accommodating!
Positives: Great staff, location, security, and the bedrooms were worth every penny paid!
Negatives: The area that it is located in is fairly dangerous especially for young traveling girls like ourselves.

Check in was ok, but from the room, the building and the staff it is hard to understand how this hotel still has a flag as a Hilton product. This hotel is a dump. Worst hotel I have ever been at.
Positives: The TGIF staff was great.
Negatives: Rooms, lobby and staff was so rude.

Hotel was great. Clean, great location, good restaurant inside. Very nice room. Front desk personnel were very helpful and polite. Concierge service was severely lacking. I wanted to order flowers and have them sent to the room. Concierge didn't know how to do this, and was unable to have the order charged to my room. Basically all the concierge did was dial the phone, I did the rest.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Concierge was terrible. Tried to order flowers for wife. Had to do all of the ordering and phone calling myself.

Great location. Very clean, very modern, very well decorated.
Positives: Great location.
