My boyfriend and I planned last minute trip to Gatlinburg. I'd never been there and we were surprised. The hotel was older but cozy with a balcony. Nothing fancy but the price was cheap and we were steps from main st. The staff was friendly and the rooms were clean. Definitely will go back.
Positives: Cozy and steps from main street Gatlinburg.
Negatives: Mattresses were a little hard.

Bottom line is that is a tired hotel that could be cleaner. Also, don't expect an overly dedicated staff which don't overly care about the presentation/condition of the facility. You're in hillbilly country and its par for the course.
Positives: Great location for access to Natl Park and sites.
Negatives: Staff did not seem overly concerned about cleanliness.

We would have liked to have stayed in closer walking distance to the shops. Overall we were pleased with the hotel. We will definitely stay at the hotel again in the future.
Positives: The room was nice and clean, the staff was very helpful we liked the balcony also.
Negatives: Some repairs were needed when we arrived and the balconies should be private they do need a ice machine closer to the end rooms.

W would stay there again for the location. Continental breakfast was good, but not much to choose from. Front desk people were very friendly.
Positives: Thought it was in a good location.
Negatives: The room was cold when we arrived and took a long time to heat it up.

Good motel with veiw.
Positives: Fair veiw of city and mountains with good access to attractions.
Negatives: We were unable to use the fireplace due to the gas company not turnining on the natural gas.

Old but charming. Clean beds. Love balcony. Need to be cleaner chairs/patio floor. Wonderful view, Very quiet. Shortcut to main street was nice. Didn't know about the continental breakfast and spent $32 for pancakes for 4 people. Carpet separated. Bathroom window had mildew.
Positives: The view. Clean room. Love balcony.
Negatives: Late arrival, so no parking space. Motorcycles each took a space.

Perfect for our weekend getaway. We did not spend much time in the hotel so it was great for the price, location, and convenience when we were there. The cheapness (yet still clean hotel room) allowed us to spend our money doing all of the other great things to do in the Smokey Mountains. Overall, we would stay there again.
Positives: Within walking distance to the down town strip in Gatlinburg.
Negatives: The wooded view was actually just one lousy tree blocking a view of the neighboring hotels parking lot.

I heard no river flowing which I was looking forward to. The bathroom had a 'funky' smell and the whole room smelled of smoke. This was supposed to be a non-smoking room. One of my children has allergies. We were kept up late at night from the sound of loud laughing, yelling and screaming from the swimmers in the pool. Our room was right by the pool. Location of the room was not too great for getting a small baby to bed at a decent hour. Overall, the smoke was the worse part. Location was great and the lady at the front desk was nice in the morning at the free continental breakfast. However, I won't be going back. We love the smokies and have been going there for over 10 yrs now and will return soon, but will look somewhere else to sleep.
Positives: Location was great for walking to downtown Gatlinburg, TN.
Negatives: Room had a 'funky' smell. Non-smoking room had smoke smell. People yelling in pool late at night, keeping us awake.

The hotel room was dirty and smelled bad. The bed was the hardest bed I've ever slept on and the pillows were very flat. We have seen a lot nicer hotels in just as good locations. I would not recommend this hotel.
Positives: The staff was friendly, good location.
Negatives: Hard beds, dirty, smelled bad.

A good place to stay and very clean. Pool was nice and the hotel staff was very friendly. We would stay there again and would recommend it.
Positives: The hotel staff was very nice and the rooms were clean.
Negatives: It was in Gatlinburg but not right down in the middle of everything and it was quite a walk back to this hotel.

The price was perfect for us. The room was nice and the location was perfect. The outside pool was heated and very hot. We didn't enjoy the heat of the pool when the temp outside was in the 90's.
Positives: The room was very clean, the beds were very nice.
Negatives: The outdoor pool was heated and it was too hot to enjoy.

The hotel has a very pleasant staff at the front desk. The hotel is located in the heart of the strip which is in walking distance so you don't have to pay for parking to do things. It has a beautiful overlook of the mountains.
Positives: The location was fantastic.
Negatives: Housekeeping does not do a very good job in rooms.

Overall satisfied with room, beds comfortable, room clean, nice patio, easy access near main street, even though hear street noise, just close doors & noise gone (quite room),would suggest larger trash can for room & T V channel listing guide, pool nice size. Overall would stay at hotel again.
Positives: Beds comfortable, clean, room quite when doors closed.
Negatives: Tub faucet drips, hair dryer broken, no
