As Kiawah Island by ResortQuest
Kiawah Island offers 10,000 acres of beauty. There are 10 miles of pristine beach, perfect for shelling, swimming, or just relaxing. The lush maritime forest, which lies just beyond the delicate sand dunes, is a haven for wildlife, and heron, deer and other animals roam the island. The ever-changing salt marshes harbor a variety of wildfowl and create an exquisitely balanced ecosystem that helps the island thrive. The island provides guests with a variety of activities, as well.
Guests can enjoy over 30 miles of biking and hiking trails, glide through the waters on a kayak, enjoy a dolphin-watching cruise, or play any of the four golf courses on the island, as well as several other local courses. There is great shopping and dining at Freshfields Shopping Village, just off the island. Within a short ride, guests can participate in wine tastings or visit the only Tea Plantation in America.
