Simply fabulous. We love to travel. Our more favorite places are those in and around the Gulf of Mexico. This place was the closest we've witnessed to the beauties of the gulf in how they've laid out the hotel landscape and placement of surrounding condos and residences.

Positives: The landscaping and attention to details set this place apart. Large balconies, luxurious rooms, comfortable beds. Fabulous all around!

Negatives: Parking was pretty far off.

Overall good experience. This is not a ritz level resort but they do have great amenities for all guests.

Positives: The ability to stay in a resort on the beach only 20 minutes from Charleston.

Negatives: There are only limited dining options near the resort outside of onsite dining.

One of the nicest family resorts I have ever been to. This is great for singles as well as they have separate adult only areas. The 2 BR unit we stayed in was brand new and incredibly well maintained. I would go back there in a heartbeat!

Positives: Super clean, well maintained gorgeous oceanfront property with lots to do.

Negatives: The restaurant prices were high.

Excellent in all ways. A little difficult to get to. The distance from Charleston would be great for those not interested in Charleston.

Positives: Posh.

Negatives: We were interested in seeing Charleston and it is located 30 min away.

Main hotel is older and room reflected it. We could hear the elevator in our room. Had lunch and breakfast there. Food was great. Breakfast is a great deal.

Positives: Location, Island on the Ocean.

Negatives: Added charges after I got there.

I really enjoyed the ambiance and service.

Positives: Great setting.

Negatives: Internet connection from their WiFi was not good in my room.

This is a great hotel with plenty of extras. You will be amazed at the views of the ocean.

Positives: The location, the atmosphere and the view of the beach!

Negatives: Nothing

Nice for couples. Not family friendly. No activities during December. Extra charges above priceline bid for "resort fees" -- actually a charge of $5-$10 for security.

Positives: Beach access.

Negatives: Broken bed.

We stayed here because we had a doctor's appointment in Mt. Pleasant the next day. Since we were only there one night we didn't make use of the amenities. However, the fitness center looked nice. Many of the amenities were within walking distance and they also provided a shuttle to take guests to the various areas.

Positives: The rooms were comfortably large.

Negatives: Carpet , walls, and bathroom floors need a thorough cleaning. Also, we were surprised with a $5.75 resort fee at checkout.

Overall I was very happy with my experience at wild Dunes with Priceline. For the price, I really have no complaints.

Positives: I really enjoyed the staff. Very pleasant and helpful in a non-patronizing way.

Negatives: I did not like the carpet in our rooms.

Great hotel, would definitely recommend and stay at in the future. Friendly staff, and loved how my room had a refrigerator. Great location on the island, and valet staff was good with my car. Thanks again!

Positives: Had great amenities, and loved the BMW driving experience.

Negatives: Swimming pool had a film on it, probably sun tan lotion.

Traveled with my 3 children 11, 9 & 8 while my husband was out of town. Felt very safe. Activities for the kids, beautiful beach and gorgeous room. Pool open 24 hours - no life guard and no hot tub. Can't wait to go back.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Parking was confusing and frustrating.

The room and surrounding facilities were very clean and convenient. The beach access is great and this is one of the more beautiful beaches we have seen on the Atlantic coast. We would recommend this facility for family vacations as well as a getaway destination for two. We also loved the proximity to Charleston.

Positives: The hotel was extremely clean and very friendly in all ways - staff, amenities and location.

Negatives: Our stay was brief but one thing that we would have preferred was the ability to park our own vehicle more conveniently.

We had a fantastic time at Wild Dunes Resort. We visited in the winter months and will be returning in the summer to use the summer facilities available. The staff was curious and helpful and the location was very clean.

Positives: The hotel staff took great care of my husband and I and our 3 year old daughter.

Negatives: Nothing to say.

Very nice resort, a little away from town amenities but resort has everything you want.

Positives: Valet service, amenities at resort, nicely decorated, Starbucks coffee and Aveda products in room.

Negatives: Limited ocean view rooms.

The hotel is off a beaten path. You have to go thru a security guard to get onto the grounds. Security is very tight. Very upscale neighborhood. The pool was only at 72 degrees when they said 82 degrees on the phone. Went on off season and it was very quite.

Positives: This is the most secured hotel I ever stayed at.

Negatives: Having a $125.00 night deposit that holds your credit card for a week.

I would highly recommend the hotel. It met all my expectations, except the hotel restaurant offered very limited selections and was not very good. My wife was ill on the crab soup.

Positives: The facility was great and the employees were wonderful.

Negatives: The restaurant was okay, but many people opted for a hamburger from the menu. I wanted seafood.

Very good. I truly enjoyed staying there.

Positives: Positive, warm, clean and nice.

Negatives: None.

Great hotel with simply a wonderful staff that was very helpful. Overall, an incredible stay for the wife and I! We loved it!!

Positives: Great facility, simply awesome service.

Negatives: Off the beaten path. Gate security had to be dealt with.

I don't know how this hotel got 4 stars. Our room had a dead bug on the floor, hairs in the bath tub, it was dirty and needs renovation. There were wasp nests on the balcony outside so we couldn't even enjoy it. Overall the hotel needs some maintenance. Our room was not ready when we arrived and the woman at the front desk was very rude to us. We did not feel welcome as a family with children as it appeared most of the guests were older couples. That may have something to do with the time of year. We couldn't get any beach chairs without 24 hour notice due to reduction in staff for the slow season.

Positives: Bed was comfortable.

Negatives: Rude female front desk attendant.

Very nice hotel, clean rooms, excellent service from the staff. There were more kids there than my wife and I were hoping for (we're empty nesters) but overall we had a very nice experience. Being part of the Wild Dunes resort is a plus.

Positives: Service was excellent

Negatives: Elevators were horribly slow

I would recommend Wild Dunes to anyone looking for a wonderful get-away! This is my husband's second time going to the resort and we really enjoyed this trip so much more than our first visit! The main reason is the Village was not there 2 years ago - and we stayed in the Boardwalk Inn - which was nice but the Studio we stayed in the Village was FANTASTIC!

Positives: Loved the Village Studio - the service, the beach, the pool and the workout facility.

Negatives: LOVED everything especially the PRICELINE PRICE!

Beautiful place if we would have been prepared to stay in a condo. We were planning on the hotel.

Positives: Lot of rooms.

Negatives: No amenities i.e. restaurant, room service, and toiletries etc.

Awful experience overall. I asked a room for four nights on the week of New Years 2009, and I had plans to propose to my girlfriend on the ocean. Unfortunately, we did not make it past the second night because the experience was awful: no hot water in the first room - moved to another room at 1:30 in the morning where the water was out of control and burned my (now) fiance's back; toilet leaked water all over my fiance's feet and socks and pants; I used the shower and about threw up when I found out I was wiping down with a towel that had a poop stain on it; the coffee pot did not work; TV in the first room had poor reception, in second room had poor reception and the remote control did not work. Finally, we had enough and checked out early. The staff was nice enough! We ended up getting engaged in some parking lot in Charleston because that was the best I could do with the limited time I had to pull something out of my rear-end! Thanks, but no thanks! I will never visit this location again - you can take that to the bank!

Positives: Leaving.

Negatives: Everything - it was truly awful.

The hotel was very nice; however the restaurants either weren't open or didn't stay open late. We also found that their service was inconsistent, i.e. coffee in the lobby one morning then wouldn't put it out the next.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Restaurants were closed or didn't stay open too late.

Being on the beach in Charleston, SC is great but the Boardwalk Inn and the staff leave much to be desired. The appearance of the Inn was a little rundown. Not slow elevators, rude staff and walls that need patching/painting. Folks, do not waste your time going to this place. It would not live up to your expectations. When you check out you will find all kinds of resort fees and destination fees.

Positives: Location: Charleston, SC.

Negatives: Hotel appearance and staff.

The Boardwalk Inn offers true southern charm and hospitality. The attentiveness of the staff and absolutely beautiful decor are second to none, we stay here frequently so for myself and my daughter, it is a home from home! Love it!

When we first got to our condo, we were impressed! Half way through our stay our maid service didn't come for 2 days. No coffee and no towels. We called 3 times housekeeping didn't show till day 3 if it wasn't for the staff at the front office we would have been SOL. Thank goodness for the front office! Other than this incident it was an awesome stay!

Positives: Ambiance of our condo & hotel front office staff.

Negatives: We didn't get maid service for 2 days.
