If you like cold showers this is the place for you. If you like walking in the rain several blocks in the rain and cold weather to get to your hotel this is the place for you.
Positives: Location was nice.
Negatives: No hot water for shower, no refrigerator in room and parking was bad.

Very nice entrance and friendly staff. Paying for the Internet is old school and vallet too much. Other than that I say it's a homerun.
Positives: Front staff nice and rooms were very up to date.
Negatives: Vallet at $18.00 a night. Too expensive.

The hotel was nice but the staff was very loud during the day and they came into my room after I checked in. It was not made clear to me when I booked that there was no complimentary parking. Feeding the meters was not fun.
Positives: Room clean and well appointed.
Negatives: Staff was loud and came into my room after I checked in.

Nice hotel in lovely historic building. Friendly staff. Good food on premises. Must park on street or in nearby public deck. Club level services not available during our visit, but staff offered coupons for free breakfasts & drinks in other hotel facilities.
Positives: Friendly staff, good food options.
Negatives: Thin walls, could hear person in next room more clearly than I wanted to.

Very nice. Downstairs tavern is good. Most of the front office and tavern staff is college students, neither pro or con, just young. Rooms are nice, but hardwood floors are unusual and somewhat noisy. Room design is not like that of a traditional hotel, and neither are the hallways. This is because the floorplans are chopped up due to stairwells. The good news for a bored business traveler is that the whole thing is quite different. Water was hot, TVs were okay, furnishings were fine. Lots of bums along Main Street, busy with their panhandling. Ignore them.
Positives: Classic architecture, downtown location, nice rooms.
Negatives: It allows pets.

It is a very nice hotel. The only downfall was the parking. If they would have free parking this hotel would have received a 10 rating for the whole trip.
Positives: Very historic and had TV in bathroom.
Negatives: No parking except valet or parking garage.

Positives: Great front desk staff. Roof Top bar was second to none!.
Negatives: Almost nothing..no channel guide for the TV but now I am stretching it.

Good location, nice place to stay, would stay here again, EXCEPT for the expensive valet parking, and being forced to park on the street.
Positives: Location was good, was affordable.
Negatives: Parking was valet only and VERY expensive, the only alternative was to park on the street.

We had a delightful stay at this Sheraton. This was probably the most delightful check-in we have ever experienced. Our room was very attractive and clean but quite small. New York small and this was Columbia, SC. We enjoyed the Starbucks coffee in the room. The hotel is in an old bank and there is a lovely martini bar in the old vault. We would definately stay here agin if we could get a little larger room.
Positives: The staff was so friendly and helpful.
Negatives: Our room was very small. New York type small.

We really enjoyed staying here. The room was clean, the staff friendly and helpful and the location couldn't have been better. It is right next door to the Marriott, which towers over it, but there is nothing like the quaintness of this beautiful old structure.
Positives: We really enjoyed our stay at this hotel. In spite of a few gliches, it was warm, comfortable and the staff is great.
Negatives: Can't think of much.

I would definitely stay there again, the parking is the main thing I did not care for.
Positives: The rooms were very well decorated and very clean and the staff was more than helpful.
Negatives: It costs $18 a day to park.

We had difficulty getting into our room which was a pain. We had to go downstairs three different times to get new keys - and then our room get switched. It wouldn't have been a big deal if we weren't in such a hurry. We were allowed to check out late which was awesome. Valet only which I hate, but I was able to find a spot on the street for free.
Positives: The room and the location.
Negatives: Parking.

This hotel is located in the center of downtown and close restaurants and shopping. There are several restaurants and pubs located in the hotel. It is an old building that has been renovated very nicely. The staff was friendly and helpful. They do charge for WiFi - $10 for 24 hour period.
Positives: Comfortable beds, nice furnishings, clean and excellent location.
Negatives: Our only complaint was the bathroom did not have a fan.

We were greated very quickly. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We were waiting on a cab for a while, so the owner of the hotel volunteered and drove us to our destination. Great location. I will stay there any time I'm in Columbia from now on.
Positives: The staff was incredible helpful. The rooms were very comfortable.
Negatives: Everything was great!

Very nice and friendly. The bed wasn't made when I stayed over night. I wondered about that. Also, there needs to be some kind of general parking for the guest. I had to valet my car all of the time, because there wasn't a great place to park at in the middle of the night.
Positives: Very friendly.
Negatives: Needs a parking garage, since downtown.
