I had a wonderful stay here. I was in Columbia on business. Great location. A very friendly staff. The young man at the desk, his name was Mike Morgan I think, told me all about restaurants in the area and how to get around. Really went out of his way!
Positives: Great location. Really professional desk staff.
Negatives: Nothing really.

This hotel should really be called a motel. A good portion of the rooms are in a motel style annex building. The room smelled strongly of watermelon candy. The beds were hard and uncomfortable. The shower never stayed the same temperature fluctuating between extreme cold and extreme hot. The walls were thin. Overall it was awful.
Positives: I didn't like anything about this hotel.

Pleasant enough for the money, convenient location. Room furniture somewhat shabby with wear and tear but the room was basically clean and the bed was good enough.
Positives: Location was close to University of South Carolina.
Negatives: Could be cleaner - furniture in room was soiled.

Too expensive for what is provided. Very dated. 70's style. Typical college town, low end hotel. Expected more upscale.

The hotel is conveniently located to businesses, schools, and entertainment. Accommodation were clean. The beds were comfortable, and the hotel was quiet.
Positives: The hotel was conveniently located to the function my husband and I attended.
Negatives: After my husband registered at the front desk and returned to the car, we were approached by a pan handler.

We were very disappointed to find that this was really a motel, not a hotel. The window was on a walkway, so we had to keep the curtains drawn. The room smelled of mildew and bothered my allergies. The hand-held shower head had no way to attach it to the wall, so it was difficult to take a shower. We felt the room was overpriced. Maybe this was because it was parents weekend at USC. The room seemed to be clean and it was ample-sized.

The hotel was decent, but I did not realize they had motel style rooms in the back (where I ended up staying). Overall it was a decent hotel, but the rooms behind the main building are rather shady.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Bed was hard as a rock.
