The Cuthbert House Inn
Beaufort, South Carolina
The Cuthbert House Inn is a bed & breakfast located in Beaufort.
The Cuthbert House Inn, a Beaufort, South Carolina bed and breakfast, began its history over two centuries ago, when it was built as a healthful retreat from the rigors of plantation life. Today, where the gentleman and ladies of the Old South once came to relax and appreciate the bay breezes, discerning guests enjoy the refreshing combination of natural beauty, elegant architecture and personal attention. The Cuthbert family, successful indigo and cotton planters, built their fine Federal style house in 1790 on our warm and breezy island. To the classical style they added an elegance and airy spaciousness, the legacy of their West Indies migration from Scotland.
