Swiftwater is home to the biggest flu vaccine plant in the United States. Swiftwater is the location of one of the many barracks locations of the Pennsylvania State Police. The barracks is on a hill on State Route 611. Swiftwater is also the home of the Pocono Cheesecake Factory, located on SR 611.
