If you are looking for a really cheap place to stay the night this hotel is OK. It was a little stinky and not very nice looking. The breakfast was a joke, no pool, and no view. It is close to anything you need.
Positives: The room was clean.
Negatives: The hotel was not very attractive and the room smelled like it used to be smoking, old, dark.

I would recommend this hotel for anyone on a short stay. Hotel staff were friendly, and helpful, rooms were nice and clean, beds were comfortable. Very adequate for a short stay.
Positives: Hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were nice and clean.
Negatives: This hotel had no restaurant facilities.

Good place to stay when visiting Penn State. Fridge and microwave in room.
Positives: Curtains darkened the room effectively, included fridge & microwave.
Negatives: Staff did not mention continental breakfast; breakfast did not offer cereal, traffic noise.

If you are looking for an easy-to-get-to, no frills place to flop and get a good night's sleep, this is the place for you. It was clean enough, although I was careful to bring my own blanket. I never trust how often the bedspread is washed (probably very seldom!). The mattress was hard, but I like it that way, so no problem there.
There is no exciting amenity to write about, although I should mention that there was free HBO and free WiFi. The price was right, so I wasn't expecting much and therefore, was not disappointed. Breakfast? Well, if a cup of coffee and packaged muffins and danish are your thing, you're all set. All I wanted was a cup of tea. I was told to take a tea bag and microwave, the water in my room. Not what would call hospitality-plus. I was prepared for the office staff, thanks to other reviews, so I made sure that it was a quick check-in with no expectations of engaging and great service and I got none. I make this sound like I would never stay here again, but really, it was fine for what I was looking for and since I was visiting my son at Penn State, I LOVED that it was only a 1/2 mile drive to get back on campus.
Positives: Just 1/2 mile outside of State College, PA.
Negatives: 1970's paneling in the room.

Would stay again!
Positives: Location to restaurants, stores, and airport.
Negatives: Nothing.

Room was clean but the musty odor came through the air freshener scent. Rooms could be aired out, especially in non-winter months. The management needs to be taught that greeting people with a smile and at least appearing to be congenial is as important in their business as providing a room.
Positives: Clean facility with reasonable price for non-business travelers.
Negatives: Give me your credit card and here is your key attitude.

A place to stay when nothing else available, very expensive for the type of hotel and room.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: No amenities, no pool, no access to ice machine.

Overall, the rooms served their purpose. I was disappointed with the fact that dirty towels were left in the bathroom and the floors were not swept. A bit of a musty smell in the room.
Positives: Excellent location.
Negatives: Not exactly the cleanest place that I have stayed.

It was a very basic and clean room that met the needs of two fishermen.
Positives: Clean.
Negatives: Small bathroom.

Overall what I expected from the star level and price. Clean room, but very flat pillows, my neck was extremely sore the next day!
Positives: Economical.
Negatives: Flat pillows.

I would not stay again unless I desperately had to.
Positives: Wireless internet connection.
Negatives: The bed was uncomfortable and no iron or ironing board.

The room we stayed in was decorated in a twenty-year -old style. Walls were paneled, color scheme from the 80's. Otherwise the place was fine.
Positives: Ceiling was vaulted, spacious.
Negatives: Only offered a small sliver of soap, no other extras.
