Hotel was dirty. Smelled terrible from the moment I walked in. After the first night I had to leave. First room they put me in wasn't even cleaned. Breakfast was non-existent. Staff was not rude, but didn't seem to care that how dirty it was. Very disappointed. Will never stay there again, and would never recommend it to anyone.

I really liked staying here for the value and location. It's reasonably close to campus, better priced, comfortable, and the staff was very nice. The biggest downers were the construction - the bathroom was a bit rundown and there was a large gap above and below the door that would have let sound in, had the neighbors been loud.
Positives: The staff was all very friendly and accommodating.
Negatives: The bathroom was a little bit rundown and the towers were scratchy.

Good, clean hotel. Friendly people. A 15 minute walk to the Penn State Campus, but a 25 minute walk to stadium. One VERY bad thing was that the walls are paper thin. You can hear everything. And if you have someone in the room above you forget about being able to sleep if they are up late or early - or up there period, because you can hear every step they take and even conversations. Definitely ask for an upstairs room or a downstairs room with no one above.
Positives: Good for the price. Close to everything.
Negatives: You can hear everything outside the room.

Very clean and the staff was very helpful, they printed out driving directions for various site seeing locations. Very close to downtown State College.
Positives: Nice and clean, nice staff.
Negatives: No swimming pool, inside or outside.

The overall appearance of the hotel was great! It's very clean and the staff was very friendly and helpful. The complimentary breakfast included bagels, three kinds of cereal, muffins, Danishes, milk and coffee. The only problem we experienced was the location of our room. We were at the very end of the hallway on the first floor and the back door was right outside our room. People were coming in and out during all hours of the night and when the door opened and closed it was very loud. I wish I had been informed of the location of my room beforehand. Other than that I would 100% stay there again in the future, just in a different room.
Positives: The room was very nice and the shower was very clean and the water pressure was excellent.
Negatives: Our room was right next to a back door that opened and closed at all hours of the night.

Suited the purpose.
Positives: Friendly staff.
Negatives: Smoking rooms malodorous; queen size bed seemed small.

Great place enjoyed our stay. Friendly staff, very helpful. Convenient location, plenty of parking.
Positives: The room was cozy and all the furniture and appliances were new, and the shower was awesome.
Negatives: We could hear the room next to us.

Clean, excellent staff, good free breakfast. My room 221 was slightly irritating at night with intermittent noises like someone turning on and off water all night long. Reasonable price for the accommodations and great proximity to the college.
Positives: Clean, efficient friendly staff, reasonable breakfast.
Negatives: Little intermittent noises at night time like water valve opening intermittently.

I was very pleased with the room and the staff was very cordial. Location was perfect for us.
Positives: The breakfast that was included- didn't expect.
Negatives: Heat/AC- didn't have a "just right" setting.

Small rooms are adequate for quick stays. Small standing shower, no tub. Had to turn on the bathroom fan to drown out the noise from the hallway and adjacent rooms- hotel was quite noisy although the guests using normal talking voices.
Positives: Clean, inexpensive, safe area.
Negatives: Very loud, no sound insulation, very basic breakfast.

A pleasant place to spend a night. I would not want to spend a long time there as the room was quite small but it suited our needs perfectly for one night.
Positives: Very clean good bed.
Negatives: Room was a little small and no bathtub.

For the purpose of my travels, it was fine. I was gone most of the day....wish the pillows were a tad firmer, but that's tough to anticipate with all other travelers. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable about the area and how to get to attractions. The breakfast was ready and restocked quickly. Eating area was clean.
Positives: Free computer access at lobby and directions to area attractions from staff.
Negatives: Loose tiles in elevator/wish it had a pool.
