Very nice, clean, friendly staff.
Positives: Very nice, friendly staff, great sheets.
Negatives: You pay so much to stay in the hotel. They should provide free parking.

The hotel was lovely, with clean luxurious rooms. The pool was strictly for workouts though, not for families looking to cool off...lap swimming only. front desk staff VERY accommodating and helpful, bellmen also.
Positives: Room and bathroom were lovely, hotel restaurant good, staff amazing.
Negatives: no free internet, $7.95 for 15 minutes!

We arrived 30 minutes after check-in time started and were told the room was not ready yet and to return in 5 minutes. We waited and went back and checked in. The room was very large but did not have a bed. There was a couch folded out.
Positives: It was clean.
Negatives: No bed in my room .

We stayed for a weekend while attending the ballgame. The hotel was very nice, the atmosphere was very nice, and we very much enjoyed our stay. We were able to take the hotel shuttle to the football game, which was very easy and timely. On the way back, we chose to walk even though the hotel had a shuttle available. The walk was reasonable distance (maybe a mile), but walking over the bridge and seeing a bit of the city was very nice. We will stay here again when we come back to see another game.
Positives: Very nice, clean, close to downtown local restaurant/pubs.
Negatives: The only thing I can think of is that we had to drive around the block a few times to find it due to the Westin sign blending in with the building.

Needs a casual sports bar. Lobby was not 4 star. Nice help. Comfortable beds. Great shower.
Positives: Location
Negatives: Hotel bar.

Decent hotel in a good location. Not a 4 star from my experience. Restaurant was very slow for breakfast. Took 30 minutes for pancakes when the restaurant was mostly empty. Took 20 minutes to get the bill.
Positives: Good location.
Negatives: Little dated. Not quite as clean as it should have been.

Overall, I do recommend. Housekeeping did a great job and very friendly. Had issue with toilet overflowing. Took maintenance 20 minutes to get to our room. Had we not shut off the water it would have been out the hallway. Disappointed with their reaction to this.
Positives: Work out facility was best we ever seen! Loved it!
Negatives: The staff at check in and in the lobby both days were cold. Not very friendly.

This hotel has a lot of "green" features, including low flow faucets and a key activated thermostat and lights. They were even offering a restaurant discount if you skipped out on daily maid service. There was no refrigerator in the room, but there was a space for one, which seemed strange. We found the beds to be uncomfortable. They had pillow top mattresses, but the bedding was so thick and heavy that it was overwhelming. Slept terribly. As a person who often travels for work, this was the first time I've slept so badly. Based on my experience, I would never stay at a Westin Hotel again, neither as a vacation traveler, nor as a business traveler. My experience in Pittsburg was so poor, I will make sure to avoid all Westin's in the future.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: No parking for guests.

We picked a poor weekend to travel because of the weather, but were completely blown off by staff because of same. They blamed their poor service on being understaffed but we made it from Cleveland, workers should have shown up.
Positives: Location was perfect.
Negatives: Staff and not A 4 star anywhere.

Great beds, softest bath towels I have ever seen at a hotel, flat screen TV, great city location and view.
Positives: Best bed ever.
Negatives: Nothing.

The room itself was very nice. The free wireless internet is a bonus. The bathroom could have been nicer. They boast a comfortable bathroom, but I didn't see any difference from other hotels I've stayed in.
Positives: Atmosphere.
Negatives: Bathroom wasn't as luxurious as described.

The hotel was very clean and the staff was very helpful. The valet parking is nice, but very expensive. The rooms were very clean, a bit small from what i am used to at this chain, but the views of the city were amazing. I would definitely stay here again.
Positives: The location is excellent for the Pittsburgh area.
Negatives: The quality of the room service food was poor.

The hotel provided an excellent location to where I needed to be for the weekend. The hotel also provided all of the amenities that I needed.
Positives: The hotel was very clean and elegant. The price to stay as a result of Priceline made it a very enjoyable stay.
Negatives: The cost for in house movies and/or TV shows was too high.

The hotel employees are very rude and not helpful at all. The valet parking is congested and there is no organization. The only nice employee was the bellhop inside. The room is average and the only convince is that it is attached to the convention center. Trust me, it is not wort it. Not only was the manager not willing to admit fault, when I received the bill I signed it for one amount and a larger amount was charged to me.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Everything.

The hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. The only drawback for us, was there weren't many restaurants within walking distance suitable for a family.
Positives: Close to PNC Park, which is what we were looking for.
Negatives: We thought it would've been a bit more updated.

Overall the hotel was nice. Very comfortable amenities and great staff. The pool was only 3 feet deep which bummed me out. All in all a very nice hotel.
Positives: Great location very close to a lot of sights and sounds.
Negatives: Pool was way too shallow.

Lobby and public area was nice. Location was decent. Rooms were old and dirty - mold in bathroom, carpet had been cut and fold had not been secured down, white bedding comforter had dirt marks on it, white shower curtain had dirt stains.
Positives: Restaurant on site.
Negatives: Lack of cleanliness in room.

The Westin is a good value at Priceline prices. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The location of the Westin is great for walking to most downtown locations.
Positives: The location of the hotel, with respect to downtown Pittsburgh is excellent.
Negatives: The shuttle service, provided, was not very useful to us.

Hotel is well located with easy access to downtown Pittsburgh. I was disappointed, it was the highest star hotel, yet at the front desk, they said there were no queen beds. My next indicator that it's not a high end hotel, was that when I went to the lobby and asked for an umbrella, they didn't have any. This is a great business hotel especially for the price. The sheets were clean. The low-speed WiFi internet was fine for occasional access, but the reality is that you need to the high-speed direct connection if you are going to vpn into the office. For my business, I would return.
Positives: Double shower head.
Negatives: There was no queen beds.

This hotel was fantastic. The room was clean and really comfortable and the hotel staff could not have been more friendly and helpful.
Positives: All of the staff was fantastic and friendly.
Negatives: Twenty dollar parking which

All in all, it was a great experience. the hotel staff was so nice, I think we enjoyed them the most. I was not that thrilled with the room, it was comfortable, but the furnishings left a lot to be desired. I did not feel like lounging in that room. Also, a decent iron and ironing board would have been nice, the one I had was terrible. The bathroom, while neat and clean, was not in scale with the cost of the room, again, I thought it should have been more luxurious.
Positives: The location was perfect, the staff was excellent, the bar/restaurant was really fun.
Negatives: I was disappointed in the room itself, for the price I thought it would be more luxurious.

Friendly, efficient staff. Very good customer service. Clean and attractive.
Positives: Every staff member we encountered was friendly and helpful: front desk, concierge, bell hop, shuttle driver, even valet!
Negatives: Though convenient, not the prettiest area of town - should improve when nearby construction is complete.

I really liked this hotel very clean and comfortable. It is in walking distant to many attractions. Very friendly staff too. Only thing I did not like was having to pay to park in the parking garage.
Positives: Clean rooms and very friendly workers.
Negatives: Had to pay for parking.

Very disappointed - room with two twins, hotel not able or willing to change, marginal front desk and housekeeping staff, fee for fitness center, pro-location.
Positives: Location, pleasant bellmen.
Negatives: Room assignment, no continental breakfast.
Reviewer: Not provided on Mon 11 Aug 2008 rated 4 out of 10.
The rooms seemed out of date especially for a supposedly 4 star hotel. Rooms very sparse with no character. Had a view of a construction project - like that commercial.
Positives: Nice lobby. Front desk personnel friendly for the most part.
Negatives: Old dirty chewing gum on the bathroom floor. Remote control broken, had new one sent up, broken also.

Good hotel. Room needs to be more comfortable for sleeping way too hot. A/C was either set too high or did not work properly.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: Air conditioner did not work.
Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 07 Aug 2008 rated 9 out of 10.
The room itself was superb. To be more specific the grout work in the sink and tub could be bleached along with the stainless mirror frame could use a polish. The restaurant was a joke I have dined at numerous sushi places and this was not at all authentic, get a real sushi chef if you are going to charge that much!
Positives: The bed linens were sparkling white!
Negatives: The seafood restaurant was too pricey $200.00 for 3 adults 1 child and not very good.

We had a great time at the Westin Pittsburgh. Our family had never been to the city before and the staff sent us to the best places in the city for fun and good food. We walked to Heinz field and PNC park, great places for sports fans. Penn restaurant was excellent! Go Randy land!
Positives: Excellent downtown location and helpful concierge.
Negatives: Staff demanded that my son had not request an autograph from a pro baseball player who was also a guest in the hotel.

Great hotel, we will definitely stay there again.
Positives: Great hotel near convention center.
