I enjoyed our stay. The hotel was clean and the staff was very helpful. I thought the breakfast was nice, infact the only thing I did not like was the charge for parking.
Positives: I really enjoyed the hotel shuttel van. It made it very easy to travel around town.
Negatives: Did not think the hotel should charge you to park in the lot!

This is a decent hotel for a reasonable price in walking distance to the University of Pittsburgh (10 to 15 minutes).
Positives: The free wireless Internet works fine and the free breakfast is acceptable. The shuttle service sometimes comes in handy.
Negatives: The hot water in the lobby was cold and there was no water boiler in the room.

I stayed one night while visiting my daughter at the university of Pittsburgh. The hotel is about 8 miles from the university, a safe and easy walk. The staff was pleasant, the room was clean (except for a hair that was on a clean folded bath towel), breakfast was what you would expect for a Hampton Inn. Parking is $14 for the day but other hotels in the area also charge for parking.
Positives: Walking distance to university of Pittsburgh, and a free continental breakfast.
Negatives: Driving in & out of the hotel is a little tricky because of one way streets.

This hotel was clean and convenient to the Downtown Pittsburgh area. We visited the hotel when there was a lot of road construction in Pittsburgh and the staff was very friendly and helpful with directions around the detour.
Positives: It was close and convenient to the hospital we were visiting.
Negatives: The charge for parking.

Good for business traveler near Univ. of Pitt.
Positives: Good location for our visit.
Negatives: Bathroom was small; no night side on one side of bed, so room was small.

Overall the hotel was well maintained, and the staff was extremely courteous and helpful. I was really disappointed with the location. I could get to Downtown. If you looked straight out the window, the view of Pittsburgh was nice, but when you looked down to street level it was a different story. A lot of trash lying around and plenty of graffiti on neighboring buildings. Out of the hotels control, but I will certainly keep the location in mind when booking again.
Positives: The staff was extremely pleasant and helpful.
Negatives: The location, coupled with the construction/street closings/detours.

Positives: Excellent help and very friendly staff.
Negatives: The bathroom smelled.

Hotel is conveniently located near all the universities, restaurants, etc. Took 5 minutes to get to the stadium and strip district. I normally don't think of quality when thinking of Hampton Inn, but it was very clean and actually very attractive and stylish. I would stay here anytime, especially with the prices of other hotels in Pittsburgh.
Positives: Hot employee at front desk.
Negatives: Paying for parking.

This was a solid hotel for our purposes, which did not involve spending all day at the hotel. The room was fine, there was free breakfast, and hot chocolate at the front any time, handy in Pittsburgh in the winter. They run an hourly shuttle to anywhere within a three-mile radius, which will get you to most Pittsburgh attractions, which was great for us, since we were there to learn about Pittsburgh.
Positives: Short trip everywhere with hourly free shuttle.
Negatives: Not actually right at anything.
