The hotel staff was friendly the room was huge with two balconies and clean, the free breakfast was great. They have complimentary happy hour which we didn't have time to attend, the only downside is parking is $47 a night which is almost as much as I paid for the room itself, street parking was hard to find made things very inconvenient.

Positives: Amazing free breakfast.

Negatives: Ridiculously expensive parking.

This Hilton offering looked like it was very modern in the 1970s, but now has unwanted retro feel. Luckily, the hotel is under renovation. Too bad the focus is the exterior, rather than the uncomfortable beds.

Positives: Spacious rooms.

Negatives: Under construction and uncomfortable beds.

Nice, large room in the perfect location in Philly. It was very comfortable and well appointed. Would definitely stay here again!

Positives: The bed was super comfy.

Negatives: The iron left a sandy substance on my clothes as I used it.

Outstanding hotel with 2 hours of free drinks, a free hot breakfast all you want, TGI Fridays next door, and 5 minute walk to Franklin Institute to see the locomotive, Museum of Natural Sciences (dinosaurs), and huge Catholic Basilica church. Art museum a 10 minute walk. Good rates, but parking is very expensive about $40 a night and height restrictions. Hotel is 5 minute drive from the Ben Franklin bridge off I-676, zoo, 10 minute drive from Liberty Bell on city streets. 15 minutes from the battleship. First choice of where to stay in the museum area. Rooms were excellent, 2 TV's, and each room has a balcony.

Positives: Free hot breakfast and 2 hours of evening drinking. Decent rates.

Negatives: Parking almost $40 a night.

My daughter & I enjoyed our stay at the Embassy. The staff was pleasant & we were able to use the Internet in the business area. Free drinks between 5:30 & 7:30 pm. We ordered room service and the food was delicious. Was able to leave with clean clothes, thanks to their laundry room. We just wished our stay could have been longer. The only complaint we had, was their parking was outrageous. Had to look for alternative parking in neighborhood, which meant getting up earlier then planned.

Positives: The front desk person was professional and very pleasant.

Negatives: Area of rug not vacuumed. Crumbs everywhere.

One of the best rooms I've ever stayed at. Go to Philly often and have now become a member to their Hotel.

Positives: The rooms were huge, with walk out balconies and a kitchen. Also smoker friendly.

Negatives: Not pet friendly.

This hotel was lovely and exceeded my expectations. Loved the brief historical plague in elevator area that told the interesting story of this hotel in the round. Would definitely recommend Priceline to anyone. Staff was very nice and comp breakfast was unexpected bonus!

The location of this hotel was perfect. Combined with the cost that we payed for a suite style room, we would definitely stay again if we could get the same Priceline rate. The hotel was very clean, the room was clean, and we walked to a bunch of nearby sites and took the SEPTA (subway) to other locations around the city, all with our three month old. Very convenient location. The check in staff was friendly and helpful and the valet, although expensive, was very helpful.

Positives: The location, the size of the room and the price was the best.

Negatives: The managers happy hour is much better at other embassy suite hotels we have stayed at.

Great location.

Positives: Location, room size.

Negatives: Some of the gym equipment had not been cleaned in a very long time.

Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 12 Aug 2009 rated 4 out of 10.

Front desk OK, 1st room absolutely filthy, 2nd room OK. Poor example of an Embassy Suites. Unless you have tons of kids & need the room stay somewhere else. Doorman advised against walking in neighborhood after dark; he said a number of car break ins had occurred.

Positives: Room size.

Negatives: Filthy room, changed second night.

The size of the suites was outstanding. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was really nice. Having a separate living room area, away from the bedroom, was great. I would definitely stay here again, and would recommend it to everyone I know! It's also in a great location for sightseeing.

Positives: The value and size of the room was amazing.

Negatives: Hallways weren't that great looking.

Simply the nicest hotel I've ever stayed at. From the moment I walked in, the staff was gracious and helpful. The room was enormous and very well maintained, with everything a person traveling could possibly want (with the sole exception of closet/storage space). I'd stay again in a heartbeat. I hated to leave.

Great hotel, elevator was undergoing remodeling, so it was really tight quarters & it seemed you had to wait forever, but the quality of the room was superb! Beds were comfy, plenty of room, hot breakfast.

Overall, this is a great hotel. If most of your stay in Philly revolves around seeing the historic attractions, I would probably stay at another location but seeing as how we wanted to see a lot of the attractions spread throughout the city this location was perfect.

Positives: I liked how big each suite was.

Negatives: I wish that they could have fixed the elevators in a more timely manner.
