I was not impressed with this hotel at all. Once we arrived into the actual room, it was found to be cramped and stuffy. The carpet was old, dirty and discolored - looked like it was not washed for years. The amenities in the room were substantial. Onto the bathroom - bare minimum with hair all over the floor. Also, the lighting in the bathroom was dull. After calling housekeeping they could do nothing about it, and claimed it was at the highest wattage allowable. Furthermore, each morning, the housekeeper would purposely bang doors to get guests out of their rooms and was rude in general. On a positive note, the staff and concierge were friendly and helpful - too bad they have a crappy job.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Is in need of serious upgrading.

A first class hotel with a well trained, helpful staff and fine appointments/amenities. A very attractive public area, nice large rooms, good furniture, marble baths, great dinning and spa. Great location. A real pleasure - wish we could have stayed longer. Only place we will stay when in the Philadelphia area.
Positives: Quality of everything - furnishings, bath room, toiletries/robes/towels, spa, lobby, dinning room and staff.
Negatives: Room was 70 degrees and couldn't get it down to 65 on unusually hot day in February - A/C off?

This is what a luxury hotel is supposed to be. Public areas are elegant. The rooms are large, well furnished with ample seating, desk and closet space. They are also very quiet and have a beautiful view of Rittenhaus Square. Beds and linen were first rate. The hotel dining room serves a great breakfast at a reasonable price. The staff was without exception courteous, accommodating, and unobtrusive.
Positives: Having hotel cars and drivers available is a nice touch.
Negatives: There shouldn't be an additional charge for the fitness center at this price level.
