Avoid this hotel if at all possible. Staff not welcoming. Location too far from most everything. Overpriced. Hallways creepy. Room dark depressing and dreary. Everything tired looking. You will look forward to checking out.
Positives: Well no one broke into my vehicle so that is the only good thing.
Negatives: Dreary depressing hotel. Staff in over their heads. Bad location.

I've stayed at this hotel once before and had a similar poor experience. It's a hotel that needed to be updated 20 years ago. None of the air conditioning worked properly, either in the guest room or in the public spaces. It was far too warm. The clock radio, phone, and one lamp in my room didn't work. Housekeeping didn't replenish toiletries or drinking cups and my room was at the end of a long, dark, dingy hallway.
Positives: The shower was powerful.
Negatives: Quality of furnishings in the room was poor; several items in room were non-operational.

Very nice, would stay there again, easy access to Septa as well as walking distance to Franklin Institute.
Positives: Great location, easy to find, parking accessible.
Negatives: There key card was broken so no room keys.

From check-in, it was clear that this hotel was in serious trouble. The electronic key system was down, and was not repaired during my stay. Everytime one returned from going out of their room, security had to be called to open rooms. This included sitting & waiting in the hallway for 15 min. or more. The A/C in my room didn't work (finally at 1 am I was given a 3rd-try room that the door could be opened, and the A/C worked). One of the elevators was broken. The light in bathroom didn't work. The WiFi was weak and constantly lost signal/cut out. The hotel calls itself "Center City," but it is nowhere near anything, but the local museums - downtown is a $7 cab ride away. This hotel was not worth the money I paid - I wouldn't pay Motel 6 rates for this dump.
Positives: There was nothing about the this hotel that I liked enough to write about.
Negatives: Nothing worked.

Convenient location, close to freeways home, easy to find, tons of things to do within walking distance. Our dogs enjoyed the stay as well! no parking fee is hard to find in the city!<BR/> We will definitely stay again!
Positives: The location was great! nice-sized rooms!
Negatives: We were not told ahead of time the hot water would be shut off for maintenance.

70s style hotel in a perfect location for Museum goers. Within 1 block of the Rodin Museum, Within 3 blocks of the Franklin Institute, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, and the Eastern State Pennitentiary. Not a fancy hotel, but perfect for casual traveler or the business traveler.
Positives: Perfect location!

I think that this hotel was okay, especially since it was cheaper than surrounding hotels. The staff at the hotel was helpful.
Positives: It was fairly close to the sites in Philadelphia.
Negatives: It was real old.

This hotel is perfect for our needs. It is close to business for my husband while the children and I sight see. They allow us to leave the car after we have checked out which is a great bonus. The dining is ok. Quick access to all sights and affordable.
Positives: It's location is great, they do not charge for parking and cab service is always available.
Negatives: Needs updating (which I think they are begining to do).

This hotel was good for a one night stay. It was your basic economy hotel, nothing elaborate. The staff was friendly and helpful with directions. They did not charge for parking which was a nice savings. The restaurant was ok, again fine for a basic hotel.
Positives: The hotel was in a good location for us to visit the main attractions in Philadelphia, and they did not charge us to park our car.
Negatives: The hotel was under renovation and definitely needs it.

This was the most overpriced, run-down and antiquated hotel I have ever stayed in. The staff was rude, and exhibited no concern for my comfort. There is a bar on the ground level that caters to local alcoholics, drug addicts, and panhandlers. The facility is unsafe and certainly not the type of accommodations a family or solo female business traveler would want to stay at. To characterize my stay - horrific and frightening topped with extended sleep depravation.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: The hotel allows dogs in rooms, and allows them to bark all day and night.

Hotel has seen better days; not very convenient to historic/tourist sites. Staff not particularly welcoming. Mechanical and plumbing in both rooms we rented (toilet kept plugging and AC not cooling in room #1; shower wouldn't drain in room #2). They gave us a key to a third room so we could shower.
Positives: Nice sized room.
Negatives: Plumbing issues in TWO rooms; rather run-down; staff not very helpful.

Nice hotel. Room was fine. Location great. Staff very helpful. Rooms were not very soundproof. Gift shop never open. Breakfast buffet boring. I liked that the parking lot was easy to get into and out of. I would probably use this hotel again if I come to Philadelphia
Positives: Close to the big bus route. Nearby 24/7.
Negatives: Could hear every noise slamming doors.

We were looking for an inexpensive downtown hotel in Philadelphia for just one night stay. The staff was very accommodating and friendly. It was a basic room that met our needs for a one night stay.
Positives: Staff was friendly, courteous, and helpful. Rooms were clean and very adequate for the hotel's rating.
Negatives: Television reception was not always great and the air conditioner did not get very cool.
Reviewer: Not provided on Wed 29 Mar 2006 rated 7 out of 10.
An ok place if you get a good deal. Not worth spending more than a 100 bucks a night.
Positives: Convenient location.
Negatives: Too much noise and not the cleanest hotel outside of the rooms.
