Decent, but not well located unless you are doing something at the convention center or visiting Valley Forge site. Overall, nothing special, but not bad.

Positives: Room was clean.

Negatives: Outdoor pool only and it was closed.

Problems: Parking lot is shared space with an adjoining office, convention center and budget car rental lot, the spaces for quest are difficult to find and a long walk. I never saw a bell hop. There were hundreds of young kids running through the hotel all weekend. The food from Chumleys (located in the hotel for room service) was horrible and expensive. The rooms are old, literally no hot water or water pressure in my room. I requested battery for my remote 2 times, finally had the maintenance man come to the room at 9:30pm to fix it. No washcloths left 2 days in a row..I had to hunt a cart down to get them. Forget the Sleep Number Beds...they are a glorified air mattress! Oh..Point your remote directly at the light on the TV and it might change the channel..apparently this is a huge problem for maintenance. Elevators are very slow..especially if there are 100 kids playing on them. You may want to make sure that they have finished paving the parking lot..the majority of it was roped off. My room was had a small porch, but it was on the service section of the roof and didn't appear to be very secure. I just was not impressed at all with the hotel, but the staff was helpful overall, it was a very busy weekend with lots of kids, so this probably had a big impact. Don't expect anything luxurious or 3 Star though.

Positives: The maintenance man that I needed to fix multiple problems had a good sense of humor.

Negatives: This is an old hotel that has had a minor face lift, but overall it's still just an old hotel.

This hotel did not meet my expectations. On the positive side, the lobby was comfortable and clean and there is a lot of parking spaces. It is connected to the conference center and also close to the mall. However, the staff behaved very strangely -- they were totally unhelpful, ignored clients to discuss sports, and the reception desk was unmanned for about 15-20 minutes while I waited to check in. If you are given a room on the second floor, make sure you don't take it, there is a lot of outside noise and very bright light from the flood lights just outside. If you like the number-bed, this is your place. I don't, thus I did not enjoy this property. I will avoid staying in that place again.

Positives: Nice lobby facilities, ample parking.

Negatives: Unpleasant room, with a lot of outside noise and light.

It really needed a thorough cleaning.

Positives: Friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Not very clean.

The place was good for the price we paid at Priceline. There was a convention/reunion at the time of our stay and so they weren't able to give us the room type we requested. The staff was very helpful and informative.

Positives: Convenient location.

Negatives: Did not get the bed we requested and no microwave/fridge.

Great proximity to the King of Prussia Mall. This hotel was much nicer than anticipated. It had select comfort beds which was cool and actually very comfortable. It also had fast free internet. The room was modern, clean and spacious.

Positives: Comfortable beds, fast free internet, modern clean rooms.

Negatives: Could not get the AC to work at first but it was a very simple fix by the hotel staff.

Overall we really liked the hotel, other than the poor condition of the bathroom and some unfriendly hotel staff members. The outside of the hotel and the lobby area were very nice. And our hotel room other than the bathroom, met our expectations.

Positives: The outside appearance and lobby area were nice and pretty.

Negatives: Some of the staff was rude and unprofessional. Also for the type of hotel this was, the bathrooms were outdated, small, and the tub was stained.

At check-in the front desk was extremely rude and not helpful. Did not even give me the correct directions to my room. Once I got into my room I was disgusted. It was filthy and looked to be untouched since circa 1978. The worst hotel experience of my career. I called to change rooms and no one even answered the phone. Luckily, I finally got a helpful person on the phone and they did change my room. This should not be a 4 star hotel by any account.

Positives: Staff moved me to better room on 2nd night.

Negatives: 1st night -the filthiest hotel room I have ever stayed in.

Very nice hotel, one of the best pools I've seen that wasn't at a resort or casino hotel.

Unlike our stay at the hotel two weeks earlier, this visit was not satisfactory. The air conditioning in the room was either all (freezing air blowing directly at the bed) or nothing (hot). Also, this time the room, the hallway outside the room, and the lobby all smelled unclean.

Positives: The beds.

Negatives: Both room and lobby smelled unclean. Air conditioning couldn't be adjusted.

Plumbing fixtures old, toilet didn't even flush without holding down handle. Room absorbed all surrounding sounds (noisy). Everything old & worn out.

Positives: Nothing appealing.

Negatives: Needs to be torn down and rebuilt. A huge old dinosaur convention center.

Better than we expected, given its generally poor reviews on Trip Adviser. The staff was friendly, the room pleasant enough (though the bathroom was rather small and our view was over the roof and air conditioning equipment) and the beds wonderful. There was also plenty of free parking.

Positives: The adjustable beds.

Negatives: Skimpy towels-few and thin.

There is a few handicapped parking spaces that are hardly identifiable because they are not painted as such. When their filled, which is usual at night, you have to park always from the hotel. Do you use this hotel for anybody who has a disability. period.

Excellent hotel with great location and services. It is unfortunate that the balconies were permanently sealed off. Despite the amount of advertising within the hotel for their Sleep Number beds, the beds were horrible causing overheating throughout the night and stiffness if you wanted support. Proximity to King of Prussia Mall as well as services to accommodate people traveling there were excellent.

Positives: Unique round facility added to travel atmosphere.

Negatives: Sleep Number beds were horrible.

The doors on every floor of the Scanticon Valley Forge close with a loud slam unless the room occupant holds the door and closes it softly (the doors absolutely need a retrofit of a soft-close mechanism). During this stay and my previous ones, few people close the doors softly. The maids frequently yell at each other in the hallways, often early in the morning. In rooms with doors connecting to adjacent rooms, normal conversations from those rooms could be heard quite clearly in my room. In general, it is a very noisy hotel. The maids on duty during the week were very good (I tipped generously). However, the weekend maids did an abysmal job (despite similar good tips). When I attempted to speak to a hotel manager about the Saturday maid, I was told she was in a meeting shortly after she started her shift. The front desk had my room number and listened to my complaint, but no effort was made to follow up with me about the problem. During recent stays at this hotel (I am a repeat customer because of its location), I was only given change by the front desk personnel one time in the four times I requested it (and that was at the Radisson front desk, a considerable way from the Scanticon building). The change was for tips for Scanticon employees. I travel frequently, and this is the only hotel I've encountered with this problem. All in all, it is a decent hotel if expectations are moderate and the traveler is equipped with good earplugs and tips the maids decently. On the plus side, the rooms in the Scanticon have microwaves and refrigerators, and the Wi-Fi access throughout the hotel is fairly dependable.

Positives: If tipped generously, the week-day maids did a good job.

Negatives: Front desk staff could not provide change for tips.

I would rate the quality of the room similar to Best Western or Comfort Inn. It is a moderate 2 Star hotel. It was acceptable. The sleep number bed was excellent but should not be the basis for determining the star rating of the hotel. No refrigerator or microwave. One outlet was used to supply both sleep number beds, the bedside table lamp, and the radio. The lower socket on this outlet was broken to the point where it was an electrical and fire hazard and a power strip was being used to supply the items listed earlier from the upper socket and there was no cover to the outlet. When maintenance was called, a repair was made immediately but I find it hard to believe this condition when unnoticed until I called to identify it.

Positives: Loved the sleep number bed.

Negatives: Quality of the room for star rating, no refrigerator or microwave.
