We had an upstairs room and it was spacious and clean. If we would have stayed longer than one night, we could have cooked since there was a kitchen area also. I'd stay there again while visiting the Hershey area.
Positives: Big, clean and had nice printed bed sheets.
Negatives: Clorine from adjoined pool made lobby not smell real fresh.

Hotel was clean in a great area of parks and other sites to see, but the front desk could be friendlier.

Staff was no help in guiding us to the hotel from Hershey Park. The front desk person could not even physically find our room when we asked him for help.
Positives: Downtown location.
Negatives: Cleanliness.

I would like to let you know; that maybe you should rethink youre working relationship with that Rodeway Inn. He made a derogatory remark to my husband, and he wasn't happy about it.
Positives: The pool was open for the kids.
Negatives: The hotel desk clerk said things that sealed that I would not go back again.

Our bad experience started as soon as we checked in. The staff at the front desk did not want to honor the rate that was given online and attempted to charge an additional $30/night. Eventually it was straightened out after 20 minutes of arguing with the front desk staff and waiting for the manager to come in to approve the change since the front desk staff did not know how to do it. When we arrived in the room, we found it to be run-down, musty and dark. However, given that we were traveling with 3 young children (including an infant) and it was later in the evening, we decided to make the best of it. At first look, it did appear to be clean, despite the desperate need for a makeover. The final straw came at 4am when I woke up and found (without exaggeration) hundreds of ants all over the bathroom sink and counter - including on my hairbrush and in all of our toothbrushes. We followed their trail along the bathroom wall to a crack in the molding. We decided to let the children sleep through the next few hours since there was nowhere for us to go anyway. By morning we felt too disgusted to even shower there, especially after finding someone else's hair in the middle of the tub. We immediately went to the front desk to complain and cancel our reservation for that night. They would not refund us our money or offer any consolation for the inconvenience. In fact, they wanted to charge us for the next night even though we refused to stay. They told us that we should've called immediately when we saw the ants and they would've sprayed. They also told us that we could've been given complimentary toiletries to replace ours. Overall, this is a low budget hotel managed and run by people who do not provide the friendly Dutch American feeling that surrounds the Hershey area. I highly recommend staying away from this hotel!
Positives: Location close to Hershey park.
Negatives: Everything else.

Room was absolutely disgusting. A heavy smell of mold and mildew confronted us upon entering. Couldn't use the A/C because it blew even more mold smell into the room. My wife encountered beetles in the bathroom. Pipes were banging whenever toilet flushed in another guest room. Another guest apparently took a shower late at night, and was extremely loud in our room. My six-year-old kept looking in the bathroom to see if it was our water running. None of us could sleep between the noise, the awful smell, and the burning sensation in our eyes, noses and throats from the mold. We left in the middle of the night and checked into a hotel in Harrisburg instead. Much further from Hershey Park, but well worth the longer drive.
Positives: Nothing at all.
Negatives: Heavy smell of mold and mildew, extremely noisy plumbing.

This hotel was just a 5 minute drive from Hershey Park. It was located on a small private road. The rooms were small but clean and adequately served our purposes as a place to sleep and shower. The beds were comfortable; the shower had good water pressure. The downside was, the pool closed at 10 pm, the ice machine was outside and the in room fridge did not get very cold. That being said. It was a diamond in the ruff and a great find, we will definitely be back!
Positives: The rooms were adequate enough for our sleeping and showering purposes.
Negatives: I wish the pool would have stayed open later.

Staff was sullen and obviously unhappy. Breakfast food was pretty bad, but there was lots of hot coffee. No extra pillows in closet but beds were comfier and shower was clean.
Positives: Nice location, quiet neighborhood but close to the amusement park.
Negatives: Walls were like paper; heard every thing outside and upstairs.

Nice size room, but cold on arrival, bathroom shower curtain bracket broken from wall only held by one screw, moldy bathroom walls covered by a very bad wallpaper job, breakfast very poor, coffee good, staff very nice.
Positives: Location very good.
Negatives: Mold on bathroom walls covered up with wallpaper & very cold room on arrival.

The hotel was an older one but had been remodeled in recent years. It was spacious and we loved that it was a no smoking facility. The general cleanliness of the room was good, however you had the impression that it wasn't as the carpet looked dirty and very worn. Other than that it was a good value and we enjoyed the staff. They were very friendly and helpful.
Positives: The room was spacious.
Negatives: The carpet was dirty and needed replaced

Was not very clean-very very disappointed when I got into my room, no closet doors, very small, was me, and my husband and two young children 4 and 6 yrs. old, complain 3 times toilet wasn't flushing, when we got back to our room, we thought toilet was fixed after complaining 3 times, my children went to the bathroom and flush and the toilet over flowed all over the place, took all towels to clean it up, this was 11'o'clock at night-had to complain again, then they stuck us in another room at 11'o'clock at night, my children was so tired, had to move all the luggage everything out, when we got into another room, was a much bigger room and nicer, me and my husband were very upset, why they didn't put us in this kind of room in the first place, and was the same price of paid for the other room, will not recommend this place to anyone, we were very upset, never again.!!!!
Positives: Nothing at all.
Negatives: No closet doors, toilet clogged every night-complained 3 times about it, had to move to a differently room eleven o'clock at night with to young children.

A clean decent family hotel. A bit expensive for just a ordinary room with nothing special.
