The hotel was ok. Location was great.

Positives: Location was great.

Negatives: Couch was kinda nasty and worn. No top sheet in the bed.

Very contemporary.<BR/>Rooms are small and the downstairs restaurant lacks any appeal, just a big open room. It had no holiday atmosphere at all, and we were there just before Christmas.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Basically lacks atmosphere and on the retail market would be way overpriced.

With the exception of 18, above, this hotel had everything we needed. Close to great shopping, restaurants, theater and museum. Most importantly transit in all its forms.

Positives: Overall quality of service, reflected in everything.

Negatives: Inside rooms on 14 floor subjected to noise from departure lounge till 2 a.m.

Great place to stay, close to city attractions and offered a nice happy hour special. Honor bar was well stocked, decorations were classic with a modern twist, the views of the city center at Pioneer Square were great. Wish we could have stayed for more than one night.

Positives: The decor, location and amenities were consistent with 4 star hotels I've stayed in.

Negatives: I did not like that parking was $30 a day.

Positives: The decor was fun and stylish.

Negatives: They advertise themselves as having a lot of art, but there was less than I expected.

The Nines is a hip, stylish hotel. It seemed very busy with a hip, stylish crowd. Staff was very friendly and eager to be helpful. I have not had such a spacious room in an expensive hotel that I can remember. The lighted make-up mirror in the bathroom was a nice touch. The hotel is very conveniently located in the center of downtown Portland.

Positives: The room and the bathroom were large and well-appointed.

Negatives: No coffee or tea in our room.

A great hotel for business. Centrally located, clean, well-designed rooms, well-ventilated and comfortable. Helpful staff. Also, free internet, local and toll-free calls which always strikes me as the right approach for hotels. Even complementary shoe polishing! I enjoyed the stay.

Positives: Beautiful rooms, nice amenities including free internet and local phone, and

Negatives: Could use an in-room coffee maker. A bit noisy on street side.

The Nines is a fabulous hotel. The overall design of the lobby, bar/restaurant, conference area, business center, fitness center, and guest rooms is so pleasing. The colors are eye popping and beautiful - a feast for the eyes. Very luxurious, yet understated. So chic. The staff were all courteous and very helpful. I ate one meal at the hotel (breakfast) and was impressed with the menu and my food. I can't wait to go back!

Positives: Gorgeous, unique design. Wonderful location.

Negatives: Clicking noise in the a/c vent (loud enough to wake me up).

The Nines is definitely geared toward Generation X and Y travelers. Very hip and chic surroundings. I loved the color combos in my room and the 1080p LCD television. Bed will take you away to dream time very quickly. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Nice place for a romantic couple over the weekend or a business traveler for several days.

Positives: Friendly staff, very flexible.

Negatives: Location too close to higher crime.

The Nines hotel is gorgeous. This trendy hotel is fairly new. What you see in pictures is literally what you get. Service was great. More for adults and couples and not so much for families or large groups.

Positives: Beautiful, attention to detail, sophisticated, modern, lighting in room was perfect.

Negatives: Bed was not as comfortable, needs refrigerator, TV remote lag.
