I am a frequent user of Priceline. Hotel Lucia is not a 4 star hotel; it's more a 3 or 3.5 star hotel at best. The rooms are small, old, and the insulation poor. When someone flushes the toilet, the entire room shakes. This hotel was a very run down facility that has been renovated.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Very small and old room, not a 4 star hotel.

Old facility, with a contemporary ambiance. Bed was super comfy, but bathroom needed to be remodeled.

Positives: Convenient location.

Negatives: Facility is old and bathroom needs to be remodeled.

Positives: convenient location, great food good prices!

Negatives: wish they had a pool or hot tub.

Updated European style hotel. Rooms and bathrooms quite small.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Rooms especially bathrooms very small.

The reason for the overall of 6 was due to the size of the room. Very small and the bathroom was very small as well. We were on the 4th floor and we could hear people talking down in the alley at 2 am. We could also hear the garbage trucks as if our window was open. Not good sleep due to noise. I would not stay there again.

Positives: Clean, friendly staff, and good decor.

Negatives: Small rooms & bathroom, extremely noisy!

The hotel staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was nicely appointed, but very small. It was our first stay in Portland and the hotel is convenient to shopping.

Positives: Personnel were friendly, Bed was very comfortible with fine linens.

Negatives: The room was the smallest I've ever stayed in.

This is a small boutique hotel in downtown Portland within walking distance of all the top attractions. The staff was excellent and provided excellent advice. The room, while tiny, was perfect in every way, comfortable and beyond accommodating. The historic photos on all the walls within the hotel were certainly worth the trip. We would recommend it highly.

Positives: The designs and colors and photos everywhere.

Negatives: Nothing.

I've stayed here many times and it's always been fantastic. It has a great location, extremely friendly and helpful staff, beautiful rooms, and a great vibe.

Positives: Excellent staff, beautiful rooms.

Negatives: Street-side rooms on low levels can be a bit noisy.

Overall it was a great experience - the staff was super friendly and I thought their different "menus" is a cute idea. I thought it was interesting that no one offered to help bring our luggage up to our room and I did request something from the front desk that was never delivered so that was frustrating.

Positives: Very friendly atmosphere when you walk in- greeted with great staff.

Negatives: I had never stayed at a "boutique" hotel before so I didn't realize it would feel a bit "older" in the rooms. The bathrooms were tiny too.

Negatives: The room was very small, fortunately i twas solo so it was workable, but still tight.

Modern, romantic, fresh.

Positives: Accommodating staff.

Negatives: Loud toilets when flushed, can be heard loudly in other rooms.

Positives: Very friendly very nice artwork and comfortable very convenient.

Negatives: Room was a little too small, but nice.

The staff treat you like you are a star, and there is no shortage of staff. Men & women staffers alike looked sharp, friendly, were helpful and knowledgeable.

Positives: Customer service, valet parking, front desk, all top notch.

Negatives: A bit more modern feeling than I prefer.

A great downtown location. Nicely redecorated old hotel with modern touches. TINY rooms (135 square feet). 10" sink bowl in bathroom. 26" between tub and bathroom door. beware of the $30 valet parking fee. The only alternative is street parking or $17 across the street with no in and out privileges.

Positives: Friendly front staff. Nice, cozy bar with good bartender.

Negatives: Smaller hotel room I've stayed in since the YMCA. $30 parking!

This hotel has an art exhibit of photography of moderately good quality. It's location in central Portland is convenient to business, shopping, and dining. The room facing the inner court are rather dark and dreary. A business center and exercise room are a plus.

Positives: Good location and nice staff.

Negatives: Restaurant quality & service below par, room was dark.

The Lucia is a swanky, hip, modern, and cozy boutique hotel. Great central, downtown location, in walking distance of everything; restaurants, bars, shopping, museums, etc. The beds and linens were extremely comfortable. The decor very up to date and fun. Staff were wonderful and accommodating.

Positives: The bed linens and comfort, the Aveda products.

Negatives: The room was very small and hard to navigate.

We liked the renovation of this very old hotel, very modern-looking. But the noise level of the ventilation system (often banging loudly) and the noise of doors and people in the hallway were very disturbing. Also, the room was minuscule, not comfortable even for two adults staying only for the weekend.

Positives: Decor was beautiful; free apples.

Negatives: Noisy, in room and in hallway, disturbed our sleep.

The hotel all in all was adequate and given the chance I would not stay again. The room was small, the bath more a half bath. I travel a lot and I was disappointed. I also found it offensive that the ownership/management censored Fox news as it evidently went against their liberal leanings. I would be just as offended if they had censored any other news channel. The censorship is the issue. The front desk personal mentioned it twice. Location is a plus, bed was comfortable, bar was great, most of staff was very friendly.

Positives: It had a nice color scheme.

Negatives: While the art was edge I did not find it to be family friendly.

The room was way too small for even a roll-away. Overall the hotel was fine. But the rooms were tiny! With little or no additional seating in the room at all. Good for a business traveler.

Positives: It was very nice and modern.

Negatives: Very small rooms especially with kids

Hotel Lucia was a cute, swanky hotel boutique. The beds were comfortable. The staff was friendly. We ate at the restaurant for breakfast and it was very tasty. The hotel lounge also made good drinks and had a good vibe. We went during the week, so there were a lot of business people staying at the hotel. The rooms were very clean. The bathroom was small, but the quaint design made up for it. I would stay here again.

Positives: Boutique feel. Comfortable beds. Clean and modern.

Negatives: Small bathrooms.

For the price, we were happy with our room. It was at the back of the hotel so was very quiet. Took forever to get hot water up to the 6th floor. I find it appalling that they are still charging $14 per day for internet access which is available free at almost all lower priced hotels.

Positives: Fresh apples and newspaper available in the lobby.

Negatives: No plug-in located anywhere near the coffee maker.

The Hotel Lucia was a lovely, small, well run, clean hotel in an interesting space and good location.

Positives: I liked the decor and the helpful staff.

Negatives: Our room faced a ventilation system on a neighboring roof.
