Nice clean hotel but the location! Was looking for something in the nice part of north west Portland not something in the industrial/commercial part.
Positives: It smelled nice in the lobby and hallways.
Negatives: Horrible location not what I was looking for at all!

Nice room, and a short drive to downtown Portland, but the location is in a sea of freight cars and industrial parks. Not scenic in the slightest. The staff was very helpful and friendly.
Positives: Quick to downtown.
Negatives: Neighborhood of freight cars.

The property has been renovated is very pretty. The service was good except for the breakfast bar which did not seem to have staff attention - dirty tables, items had run out, etc. It is located in an industrial area but seemed to be marketed to families.
Positives: It was friendly and nice for the money.
Negatives: The breakfast service was not very good.

This hotel was fine.<BR/>It was convenient. In an industrial part of town. Under construction, so good things coming. My only complaint to the front desk was the<BR/>moldy, sour smell. It was pretty bad. Maybe it was shower curtain?

I really was not that happy with this hotel. It is really badly in need of a major update. The stained wall paper and the bathroom ceiling had spots of mold all over it, as well as the window sill in the bedroom. Room service didn't come at any time during our 2 night stay. It would have been nice to have the room freshened, since it started to stink like mold by the first morning.
Positives: Nothing.
Negatives: Almost everything.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I have ever had. Filthy conditions. Had smoking room next to the front desk/lobby & the vending machines. Even had another guest told me while checking-in, that if I didn't need to stay I shouldn't. He used the phrase "very Mickey Mouse". Got up very early the next day to check out. Horrible experience.
Positives: There was nothing!
Negatives: Filthy room. Smoking room. Burned & broken drapes. TV.

Staff was nice until a fire alarm went off a half hour before check out time.

The location was terrible, much further than I'd expect for a "Northwest Portland" location. Rooms were a bit dingy. Several loud trucks in the parking lot starting at 5 A.M.

Over all the hotel was nice and clean, people were friendly. We had to go to the check in desk both mornings, as our key card would not work once we left our room. That was a little annoying. And the bed was very uncomfortable, very hard.
Positives: The very nice, friendly lady in the breakfast room.
Negatives: The beds were very uncomfortable.

It is away from Downtown Portland which makes it nice that you don't hear the traffic noises. I was hoping to have it closer to the zoo then where located.

We have been very pleased previously with LaQuinta Inn but were not happy with the room we were given. We had a no smoking room that must have been over the top of a smoking room because it stunk like smoke very strongly.

If you need a reasonable place to stay in Portland that is close to I-5 and easy to find, this hotel is okOK. Not fancy, just the basics at a fairly reasonable price. Fast food is just up the block. Pool is open 24 hours. Breakfast is fair.
Positives: Pool/spa open 24 hours, easy to get to.
Negatives: Noisy location, not as clean as I would like.

It is close to Portland with easy on/off, not hard to find and i like to swim its hard when most close at 10:00 guess very busy.
Positives: 24 hr pool very important &free cookies/with coffee late.
Negatives: The water pipe broke cause a mess.

For me a hotel room is a place to sleep and shower. It fulfilled my expectations with a comfortable bed and a good shower.
Positives: If you like Northwest Portland this is a great place to stay.
Negatives: I smoke, but even to me the smoking room smelled bad.

The hotel was a 2 star rated hotel that had friendly service, clean rooms, a sufficient continental breakfast and a nice indoor pool.
Positives: It was only a few minutes from downtown and the major freeways but far enough away have a quiet stay.
Negatives: The surrounding hotel location was in an industrial area with no restaurants.
