The hotel was very clean, the kitchen was nice, bed was comfy, pool was clean and warm.

Positives: Perfect for what we needed on this trip.

Negatives: Needed more blankets and breakfast food was cold.

Wonderful location within blocks of a theater; great restaurants. It is also within the free zone for public transportation for downtown Portland. And an incredibly helpful and cheerful staff. Would definitely stay here again.

Positives: Great staff, great location, convenient to Public transportation.

Negatives: Needs a place to hang wet raincoats; a throw blanket would be cozy.

I was surprised at size and the full kitchen. The location was excellent with a three block walk to the Max which is free to the downtown core.

Positives: Large room with kitchen, excellent access to downtown.

I was so pleased with the location and the staff. Although they were doing some work around the exterior of the buildings. It didn't affect us at all! I will definitely stay there the next time I am in Portland!

This is a fantastic hotel for families and business travelers, located in northeast Portland. It's walking distance from the Convention Center and only a few blocks from Lloyd Shopping Center. The staff serves an amazing, 30 item hot and cold breakfast with free newspapers. We plan to stay here every time we visit Portland.

Positives: Friendly employees, full kitchen, extraordinary & complete breakfast daily!

Negatives: The garbage truck that arrived at 4:30am two mornings.

It is the best hotel I ever stayed in, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

Positives: I loved how it was like a home away from home, most of the staff was friendly.

Negatives: Lady that checked us in wasn't very friendly actually she was kind of rude.

Wonderful breakfast bar and excellent staff. Close to downtown Portland, easy access to the MAX/Metro. Felt like home away from home. Would definitely stay there again!

Clean, great location and the front office personnel were very accommodating with our bikes. We rode 200 miles from Seattle to Portland and had no car. They were very helpful and stored our bikes on our check out day until we connected with our transportation.

Although the room was comfortable and the location was convenient, noise was a big problem. The building is made of wood instead of concrete and steel and every footstep in the room above made the floors creak. Not the place to stay if you want peace and quiet.

I would recommend the hotel as it was in a nice neighborhood and close to shopping as well. The surroundings were quite lovely with beautiful trees and you can't beat the breakfast!

Positives: W loved breakfast and liked having a sofa and a kitchen!

Negatives: The only thing would be the noisy fan in the bathroom but one can't help that!

Excellent location to many areas in Portland. Near freeway with easy access.

My only complaint is how they handled the air conditioning going out. Because it happened at night, it couldn't be serviced until the next day. They brought me a fan, which was about all they could do. The next morning I took advantage of their breakfast. And yes, it was excellent. My compliments! Returning to the room, something smelled dead. Probably something, now no longer alive, had got into the air condition. So I passed that info on to the desk clerk. That night and the next morning I had two different front desk staff apologies and offer to follow up with management on something to address the inconvenience. They took my cell phone number and promised to call. That was 4 days ago and no they haven't called. Not even a message to say there wasn't anything they could do, but are still very sorry. Hmmm do they really care? Things happen in life. But how you respond when something goes wrong is ultimately how you'll be judged.

Positives: Spacious. Great Location.

Negatives: Air Conditioning went out the last night. Unable to service until the next day.

I would try to stay at this hotel in the future and will recommend it to my family and friends. It was the best place we have ever stayed and we were very comfortable. I hope to visit Portland again next year at the same time and hope to stay here.
