Great location, clean and well kept facility and rooms. Staff was excellent, friendly and helpful.

Positives: The staff was all excellent and very helpful and friendly.

Negatives: Nothing

Hotel is a typical business hotel. Good downtown location, good valet service. The room was very noisy from music coming from outside -- I was on the 9th floor, the front desk thought the music was coming from the valet and parking area. The room had a long weird hallway inside the room from the door to the bed. I complained about the noise and moved to a nicer room on the other side of the hotel.

Positives: Convenient location if driving, valet service was great.

Negatives: Noisy.

This is a very nice hotel. It is a little inconvenient to access transit lines. I wish there was a shuttle to the downtown district. We needed to walk at least five blocks in any direction to get to a transit station.

Positives: Waterfront view.

Negatives: Couldn't open balcony door.

I thought I was getting a room with free wifi but discovered upon arrival that there was a fee of $12.95 per day. Also, I think that guests who stay at the hotel should have a break on the price to park. Although we walked most everywhere, the hotel was not close enough for us seniors to the area we wanted to visit. We will not stay there again.

Positives: The room was comfortable.

Negatives: Parking fee was high especially for guests staying there.

The hotel is in a pretty good location, really close to the waterfront, only a 5 minute walk to the main MAX line and Pioneer Courthouse Square. Some good restaurants nearby. We were somewhat surprised that the restaurant and room service stooped at 11pm as we were coming from a wedding on a Saturday night - wanted a drink and food but just wanted to be at our hotel. Rooms were nice, a little dated but very clean and fairly good sized.

Positives: Good location, good size room for a king size bed.

Negatives: No free wifi, interior was dated, small bathroom.

Clean. Love the bed and bedding. Bathroom was very small. Exceptional staff-especially all housekeeping we came in contact with.

Positives: Very friendly staff-desk, and housekeepers were exceptional-good attitudes and hard working!

Negatives: Facade/exterior was not attractive

Friendly staff, clean rooms and quiet.

Positives: Nice and clean.

Negatives: to far from shopping and good restaurants.

Great location, but not the nice in the chain
I have been to.

Positives: Great Downtown location near the waterfront.

Negatives: Not very accommodating and parking.

This hotel was perfect for a weekend stay. The bathroom was a bit small, but the room was clean, comfortable and quiet. The staff was wonderful. They gave good advice on transportation and dining options. I'd definitely stay here again.

Positives: The staff was polite, friendly and knowledgeable.

Negatives: $30/night for parking.

This hotel was an excellent vacation spot for our family. We loved that it was within walking distance from great restaurants and bars and right near a park on the waterfront. We traveled with three younger children and the staff was extremely accommodating to our family's needs.

Positives: Very fancy but extremely friendly and helpful staff.

Negatives: Saltwater Pool

For the price we paid I would have expected a better room. Between noise from the elevator and traffic outside, I had to go home to get some sleep.

Positives: Friendly staff, good location, everything you need in one location.

Negatives: Very small room, hair in bathtub, room next to elevator (noise). Needed better signage for prices of valet parking.

The hotel was great. The staff was friendly and took care of problems quickly and efficiently. (There was a noise problem at night from some boisterous guests - not the hotel's fault). I think it's a bit of a stretch to call this a downtown hotel as it's several blocks from public transportation and even further to downtown shopping and dining. Walking back and forth to the hotel at night was dark and a bit creepy as the further away from the central downtown area you get the more deserted the streets get.

Positives: Clean and good service.

Negatives: Distance from downtown shopping dining etc. This should not be considered a downtown hotel.

This hotel was very clean and in excellent condition. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable. Bed, bath & beyond toiletries were a nice touch. It doesn't show up on the bed bud registry. However, there was mass confusion upon arrival when the available onsite valet parking cost nearly 50% the price of our room! The valet was helpful in pointing out available street and pay-lot parking, but both required waking up early while on vacation in order to move the car or feed a meter. This is unacceptable for the quality of the establishment. In addition, I did not try it out (most of my time there was spent sleeping), but the wireless was not free. In a wired city like Portland, and in keeping with higher-end hotels worldwide, this is something I expect, and was highly disappointed by.

Positives: Great location. Friendly and helpful staff. Rooms very clean. Quality toiletries.

Negatives: I would expect a high quality hotel to provide free parking and wireless Internet. This one did neither.

Clean and attractive with friendly staff. Our room was pretty small, and the bathroom was tiny and cramped. Valet parking is expensive ($30/day) - we drove to a 24 hour public parking lot only a block away and paid $12.

Positives: Friendly staff and comfortable bed.

Negatives: The bathroom was tiny and cramped (so cramped that the towel rack was inside the shower), Internet access was expensive ($13/day).

Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 02 Nov 2010 rated 6 out of 10.

Nice hotel with nice amenities and decor. Exorbitant parking fee at $30/day and the $12/day Internet fee is tacky and detracts from an otherwise classy hotel.

Positives: Clean rooms and great location near the street car.

Negatives: Exorbitant parking and Internet fees.

I would stay there again. Beds comfortable, staff amazing and location perfect!

Positives: On my immediate arrival Luke made sure I had a king size bed and made me feel very welcome!

Negatives: Someone left their tray outside their door and there were

This hotel was contently located. Classy feel to look at from the outside as well as the inside. The employees were very attentive. Defiantly would stay there again.

Positives: They were very friendly and attentive.

Negatives: Price of valet parking.

Beautiful hotel, but our room was crummy.

Positives: Location was excellent!

Negatives: Room was tiny, with old, single-pane window looking at roof- but river beyond was nice, but couldn't see it from most of the room.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 09 Oct 2010 rated 7 out of 10.

Elegant and comfortable. Rooms were just the right size and linens were nice and atmosphere felt current - not outdated.

Positives: Elegant lobby and professional staff.

Negatives: Restaurant service was poor and overpriced.

Reviewer: Not provided on Sat 09 Oct 2010 rated 10 out of 10.

Nice hotel, close to everything and
great staff.

Positives: Front desk staff were fantastic.

Negatives: Bag of trash from previous guest let in closet.

My overall stay here was nice enough, a bit generic and less personalize than I prefer when staying in Downtown Portland, but still staff was pleasant and restaurants were open late which was nice to feed the two 9-year-old boys that were starving at 11pm at night. The food was consistent, but again lacked in anything original, just your typical sports bar.

Positives: Staff was accommodating, room was clean overall pleasant experience.

Negatives: I personally like boutique style hotels, this stay was a bit generic.

Hotel room very nice and comfortable. Easy access to downtown(easy if you like to walk) and the Riverfront area.

Positives: Location is great.

Negatives: Parking is pricey.

Hotel was easy to find. Very clean with helpful staff..

Positives: Three sheet beds and great breakfast.

Negatives: High cost of parking for self and our guests.

They are not geared to the leisure traveler. They are not pet friendly, they do not provide a complimentary breakfast, they do not have a coffee pot, and they do not have a refrigerator. All of these items would make for a more pleasant stay.

Positives: Nice bed and TV.

Negatives: No refrigerator, no complimentary breakfast and no pets.

Extremely pleasant experience, the hotel was helpful and beautiful, and a great location.

Positives: Really comfy bed, and great view off balcony!

Negatives: Hotel coffee shop had line out the door at all times!

Beautiful upscale hotel downtown with a view of the river. Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. Had late dinner in Champions. Very good meal. Parking was a bit expensive $30.00/night for valet parking. However, not much of a choice because there were no other parking garages close by and we would have had to park on the street and drag our luggage to the hotel.
Positives: The in-room breakfast was great, great river view.

Negatives: I think that I was allergic to the detergent used on the linens. Gave me a headache.

Great place to stay. Close to everything in downtown Portland. We could walk more places than we knew we could. It made for a nice, leisurely visit.

Positives: Close to everything we needed.

Negatives: High cost of parking.

Was upset with having to pay $30 a night to park our car.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: There was bugs in the bathroom.

Standard Marriott hotel, located several blocks from the center of the city. Other than a 50 50 chance of getting a view of the river, nothing special.

Positives: Close to the river place.

Negatives: No free WiFi.

We really were impressed with this hotel, it was very clean and welcoming. They had fancy water that was available at no charge. The rooms were very clean and the beds were comfortable. We will certainly stay at this hotel again.

Positives: Comfortable beds, clean and fancy water.

Negatives: The noisy neighbors next door.

Fun place to stay great staff, great rates from Priceline!

Positives: The bed was super comfortable.

Negatives: The balcony was really really small.

Unspectacular hotel, slightly off track, with small, remodeled, but not too fancy interior. Clean rooms, friendly staff, but not comparable with other hotels in a four and a half star category I have been to.

Positives: Clean and quiet.

Negatives: Small rooms, nothing special.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 22 Oct 2009 rated 10 out of 10.

Amazing view, beds and drinks.

Positives: Right by the freeway, so you don't have to go through too much traffic to get there.

Negatives: Was not near any shopping.

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 16 Oct 2009 rated 9 out of 10.

For some reason they would not take my frequent Flyer card. Overall the experience met my expectations.

Positives: Great location right by the river. Easy entry and exit at front.

Negatives: No real lobby. Parking was expensive.

Reviewer: Not provided on Thu 15 Oct 2009 rated 8 out of 10.

Lovely surroundings, the room was clean, the beds were so comfortable to sleep in, and the pool area was fun.

Positives: The beds were warm, comfy, soft – absolutely wonderful!

Negatives: The parking prices were ridiculously high!

Reviewer: Not provided on Fri 18 Sep 2009 rated 6 out of 10.

The experience would have been more positive if not for the failure of housekeeping to maintain fresh mattress covers. The odor coming from the covers created an unpleasant odor immediately upon entering the room and it only took a short time to trace it to its source. When I reported this, only the mattress cover on the bed I was using (in this twin room) was changed. Very disappointed because of the brand name of this property.

Positives: Most rooms had mini balconies

Negatives: Mattress covers emitted a bad odor because they were not regularly laundered.
