I would probably never stay here again. The room was clean but very small. The breakfast was scarce and not good at all. So overall I would not recommend this unless you just need a cheap place to stay.

Positives: The view of the ocean was nice.

Negatives: The breakfast was practically nothing and the staff was rude.

Positives: Good shower, big TV screen.

Negatives: Dirty furniture, dirty blanket, windows had no privacy (had to use dark curtains).

The hotel was a little pricey for what you got, but it was Labor Day weekend. The view was absolutely amazing, but the room left a little to be desired. The staff was very helpful and friendly. All in all, we had a great time.

Positives: Beautiful ocean view.

Negatives: A little old and run down.

The hotel is clean and room conditions are good. We arrived at around 1:00 pm. The hotel staffs were very kind to us and let us check in half hour early. We had a good rest at night. Overall, we stayed there very happy.

Positives: The hotel location is very close to the sea shore.

Negatives: I haven't found out yet.

For the price and location it can not be beat. Two blocks to the beach and less then a mile to the old town. You can see the ocean, but the view must have been great before they built the eyesores right on the water. Still good for the price. Very clean!

Positives: It was very close to the beach and the old town area of Newport.

Negatives: The lobby smelled like old smoke.

The hotel in general was OK, but the 300 rooms are not on the third floor as one would expect (third floor doesn't exist), but in the basement. They are kind of weird and hard to access. They were clean and the bed was decent. The deadbolt was broken, and when I called the office they were sympathetic but they didn't fix it over the three days I spent there, just kept promising. It was also across the street from a porn store.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: The room was like being in an old basement. It was hard to access as well.

For the price that we paid for this hotel, if we were in another city, then we probably would've been able to get a cleaner, better quality room. However, I figured that since this was the weekend of the Newport Marathon, they added a premium onto the room. However, this was the cheapest room that we found on the Internet, so we didn't have very high expectations, and pretty much got what we paid for. However, the location of the hotel was excellent. It was within walking distance to the starting point of the marathon and it was also very close to the beach.

Positives: It was very close to the Newport marathon starting point and the beach (walk able).

Negatives: Quality/cleanliness was not as good as most hotels I've stayed in.

The room was clean but had an odor of smoke for a nonsmoking room. It was not the room that I had reserved, it was on a lower floor. the room was discounted an additional $20. because of the error. Motel access was on Hwy101. Very close to restaurants and shopping. Also within short walking distance to beach. Overall, it was worth what I paid.

Positives: Very easy access, very budget minded.

Negatives: Call ahead before arrival to make sure you have the room you reserved.
