Our Florence, Oregon hotel is right across the bridge from Old Town Florence, a must-see for history buffs. It is filled with fine dining, shopping and antiquing. However, it is our location next to the Sand Dunes that really draws people to our Florence hotel.

This a the best location in Florence. The hotel is easy to find, central, has a pool with a view. The staff is lovely and willing to help. They have local information like: What to do in Florence (the Oregon one). I love the pool after a long drive. We had a newly remodeled room with new beds.
Positives: Staff is friendly and helpful, and does not make fun of people with dyslexia.
Negatives: No hot tub.

Overall, great place to stay. We had a partial view of the river and that was quite nice. As well as the breakfast. I only wish we had time to check out the pool!
Positives: Great location, friendly associates.
Negatives: Front desk canceled the wrong reservation originally, however, next person fixed the issues.

The view was wonderful of the Umpqua River bridge and Old Town Florence across the river. The heater in our room didn't work so they brought us a space heater which worked great since the room was a little cramped with 2 queen size beds anyway. The comforters had black hairs in them that did not belong to us. Parking is limited, someone double parked in front of our room, we reported it to the front desk but they didn't make them move, we had to park in front of the dumpster.
Positives: The view of the Umpqua River bridge and Old Town Florence.
Negatives: No longer has a restaurant in the motel, room cramped.

Our first room had a newly remodeled bathroom that was huge. The doors were old so it was loud when other people came in and out of their rooms. The breakfast was great and the lounge had a beautiful view of the river.
Positives: The staff was very accommodating.
Negatives: Our non-smoking room smelled like smoke.

Located on the suisaw river. This hotel is located at the front of town by a historic bridge and is in an excellent location. The staff of this hotel were very friendly and accommodating.
Positives: Hotel was located on the river.
Negatives: I have no complaints whatsoever.

It was beautiful. Great location, kind of pricy for a 1 star though.

The staff was helpful in getting a room for my parents, that they didn't have to climb stairs - as there were no elevators. Overall, the rooms were ok.
Positives: Close to shops.
Negatives: Has only stairways to get to rooms, no elevators.

Pier Point Inn is a great location near lots to do for the weekend. Located right across the Siuslaw river from old town Florence, with shops and dining. Make sure you get one of the rooms with a full view!
