We traveled to Ashland for our Granddaughters 10th birthday, we surprised her. We were also pleasantly surprised by the Holiday Inn. I can say nothing negative about our experience. My husband and I had a wonderful, relaxing time in Ashland with family.

Positives: The staff was friendly, location great, nice breakfast, comfortable & clean rooms.

Negatives: Nothing to not like, its is a great hotel.

The hotel was alright. It smelled of cigarette smoke, even in the non-smoking areas. The room was clean. The continental breakfast was great, with lots of choices, even for younger kids.

Positives: The pool was clean and hardly ever had anyone using it.

Negatives: Hotel smelled like cigarette smoke from the moment you walked through the door.

H.I.E.-Ashland was a positive experience. The weekend front desk attendant was friendly and patient with driving directions. She was very intuitive and accommodating in arranging a room which was sheltered from outside noise for my tired wife and 2-year old. Likely due to its newness, we found most everything was clean and well kept. There was wet section of hallway and elevator, kids going to and from the pool. The only downside is the quality of the breakfast food. It was well stocked but we couldn't figure out what the scrambled eggs were made from. However, it was on par with other inns. I would recommend this hotel as a convenient and satisfying respite from any long haul off I-5.

Positives: Patient & accommodating weekend front desk attendant.

Negatives: Breakfast food quality was less than 2.5 stars.

Modern, clean, well appointed rooms with cable TV, microwave and fridge, hairdryer, iron and ironing board, cupboard, phone with data port, WI FI and a great shower with a massaging showhead! Much to our surprize, they have what's called "an expanded continental breakfast," which included bacon, sausage, eggs, etc, etc!!! This was quite a bonus, as this was included in the price of the room... no charge! Staff was very, very frendly and knowledgeable of the area. Anything we needed, they were there to help us out. Beautiful views of the Mountains surrounding Ashland. My only complaint would be that the beds seemed a bit firm, but that is somwhat due to my normally sleeping on a memory foam matress at home. It was not advertized, but the facility also has a year-round indoor pool and hot tub. We had a wonderful time and felt that we got far, far, far more than what we paid for... especially since we got the room through Price Line! Definately would stay there again.

Positives: Beautiful view of Mountains, comfortable, expamded continental breakfast, fridge and microwave, great location.

Negatives: The only thing that I didn't like was the bed... but that is because I am used to sleeping on a Temperpedic matress. Just a bit too firm, for me.

The convenient location and basic lodgings are this hotels greatest attributes. It offers reasonably priced accommodations for weekend visits to our son at the nearby university. I would not recommend this hotel for a longer stay or for vacationers interested in something special or noteworthy.

Positives: The hotel was conveniently located to meet our needs and provided basic lodging for a moderate price.

Negatives: This hotel does not offer much in the way of atmosphere or ambience and the mattresses were horribly uncomfortable.

A convenient place to stay, with clean rooms, swimming pool and hot tub. A generous breakfast is served in a well used dining area. This is a family friendly place to stay.

Positives: The pool and hot tub were clean and warm. Great!

Negatives: The beds were hard and noise carried easily.

Right off freeway so gets noise from I-5, a short drive from Downtown, nice large rooms, good breakfast which includes sausage and eggs. Smelled smoke on 3rd floor. Clean bead, clean room, clean bathroom, standard cable TV channels. Very much same as standard Holiday Inn Express!

Positives: Room was large, two TVs, clean.

Negatives: Noisy freeway noise, unprofessionally dressed staff, and smoke smell.

This hotel was an excellent value for an overnight stop. It was conveniently located near the freeway and easy to find. Our room was attractive, clean, and quiet.

Positives: The room was attractive, clean, and quiet. The hot breakfast was excellent.

Negatives: The only thing was that the shower curtain liner hadn't been changed/clean in quite some time.

We were very pleased with the hotel and both agreed it was one of the best we'd ever got. We hope to stay there again sometime in the near future.

Convenient; accommodating (when I requested for a 2-bed room); comfy beds & pillows; luxurious towels; great bath amenities. It would help if the reservations clerk kept the supply of breakfast items and napkins stocked.

Positives: Comfy beds; choice of pillow softness; cleanliness; free breakfast.

Negatives: Night clerk kept reading his paper minutes after I stood at desk.

This is a nice hotel. I'm not happy about the fact I called the day after the booking to ensure a non smoking / double queen bed room and did not get it. We should get down graded in the quality of room or service. The smoking room was gross!

Positives: Nice hotel.

Negatives: Did not get the non smoking or 2 beds as stated.

When we first checked in we were given a filthy room, so I addressed the staff and they were very rude. So I told them I was going to write the bbb so they put me in a suite. Just as bad. Not only that, but our air conditioner went out on our 2nd day and we called several times to get it fixed. But no one called or addressed the problem. It was the worst vacation I have ever had, especially the last 3 days.

Positives: 105 degrees with no AC for 3 days, very rude staff, very unhappy.

Negatives: Location. Thats it.

A bit out of the quaint center of Ashland, but close and easy freeway access for trips to Medford or Jacksonville. Clean and very comfortable. I will definitely stay there again if I return.

Positives: Front desk exceedingly helpful and polite. Nice toiletries.

Negatives: Beds in first room were not made up, but the staff switched me promptly and upgraded.

Terrible! The worst hotel I've stayed at this year. They put us across from the indoor pool. The walls were like paper. Couldn't move us due to full booking. Maid didn't clean our room. Forgot. But no one cared to make anything in our stay right.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Noisy, maids didnt clean room, staff unhelpful, too expensive.

If you're just passing through the area this hotel will meet your needs, but there's nothing special about it. I actually wished I had known about the best western next door. It looked lovely and was themed to more or less match the Shakespearean feel of the festival Ashland is so famous for.

Positives: It was convenient off the freeway exit, and met the basic need.

Negatives: Nothing really, it was just an average hotel - nothing stands out either good or bad.
