Since I do not normally patronize Holiday Inn related locations, I was very pleasantly surprised at the decor, views, location and services.
Positives: Good location and very helpful front desk, nice views from the roof top restaurant.
Negatives: Restaurant staff somewhat slow at breakfast.

This is a very nice hotel. The room was clean (aside from the open safety pin lodged in the blanket on my bed) and the staff was very nice. I was told at check in that there was a breakfast buffet in the morning but that turned out to be incorrect. I could still order from the menu for breakfast but the buffet is only an option they offer when the hotel if booked with many customers.
Positives: The staff was very friendly.
Negatives: Found a large, open safety pin in my bed just before lying on it. No breakfast buffet as told.

We would love to stay here again. The staff was friendly and helpful and the room was great! There were many unexpected pleasures during our stay! Our only regret was the restaurant didn't offer all the foods on the menu. But overall a great place to stay!
Positives: Housekeeping gave close attention to detail. The entrance was grand.
Negatives: The restaurant was out of food we wanted to order. The carpets on the stairs needed cleaned.

Overall, the hotel was nice and for the right price I would stay there again.
Positives: Overall, it was nice.
Negatives: Expected a little more from a Crown Plaza.

This was an excellent location if you needed to be downtown. The staff was courteous and helpful. The hotel was also very clean.
Positives: The hotel was close to where I needed to be.
Negatives: I didn't like parking at the hotel. I didn't feel safe at night leaving my car.

The hotel had a lot of parties the weekend we stayed and the staff did not clean up after them in a timely manner. The room had a very comfy bed, but house keeping didn't clean the following days.
Positives: The bed was very comfortable.
Negatives: You had to park next to the Greyhound bus station.

We chose the hotel because of its location to our destination. The rooms were comfortable, the beds clean and made. The staff was friendly and accommodating to us. The food was disappointing for the cost and the lounge was limited in the drink selection.
Positives: Very clean, very friendly staff, very close to destination.
Negatives: Food in restaurant was disappointing for the price

The hotel staff was quite knowledgeable of their area and even suggested restaurants for us that we could walk to. The room itself was ok. The beds were comfortable and the blankets were clean and warm. The lack of power outlets was disappointing as I had multiple items that required them. The bathroom was also kind of small, but adequate.
Positives: The facilities were inviting and the staff was amazing.
Negatives: There weren't nearly enough outlets in my room.

Staff was very helpful & friendly and we would stay there again when we are visiting family in Dayton, Ohio.
Positives: Room exceptionally clean and beds were comfortable.
Negatives: Parking was not easy to find and too far away.

I would prefer to talk to a book as to the hotel personnel and staff who have been trained by the book how to speak to the guests. It is truly pretty sad to talk to three people and the conversation/questions and interaction are all the same, Just like the book.
Positives: Close to the office.
Negatives: They charged me to park even though they have free parking. I drive a Club Wagon and it is too tall for the parking structure so I was left no choice.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone. Our experience was absolutely wonderful and I would not hesitate to repeat the experience time and time again.
Positives: The staff, room, restaurant, and shuttle service. All wonderful.
Negatives: Can't think of a thing.

The Crowne is a very nice place to stay and the view from the bar and the restaurant is great.
Positives: I have stayed here many times and it is an excellent hotel.
Negatives: I don't like that there is no parking, but it's a down town hotel.

Clean three star in a very bad area. Food was good, staff was professional, rooms were well kept. The main issue was getting to your room alive from the parking garage. The parking garage sits above the Greyhound Station in an area of town where people inspect the items you have in your car while you are still in it. They need real security in the garage on a consistent basis. Also the key locked doors to the hotel from the unsecured garage were never working the week I was there. This allows anyone access to the upper floors, and is a real security concern. To sum up it is a 3* castle in a 1 star neighborhood and the moat has been drained. I would not let my wife stay there, but if I had to be in Dayton again I would consider it but only if I got an Ohio concealed weapons permit ahead of time.
Positives: Consistency. Staff was polite and the rooms kept clean.
Negatives: Security lax in an area that needs good security.

I enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The room size was sufficient for me and my guest. The decor was pleasing. The location was perfect; close to dining, clubs, and directly across the street from the convention center. This hotel sponsors lawn concerts and festivals during the summer on Sundays. I did not like the food though. It had a hospital quality to the room service food. The restaurant food was nicely presented, but very bland and pricy. The live band in the club especially was a nice surprise. The club closes at 1 am on the weekends though.
Positives: Location, friendly helpful staff, cleanliness.
Negatives: NA.

It was really confusing just trying to get to the hotel with all the one way streets. The lobby smelled funny. The bath tub was dirty. The bed sheets had stains on them and some pillow cases were dirty. The staff was friendly and parking was free, but the dirtiness of this hotel is something you would not expect and we did not either.
Positives: Parking and crosswalk were very clean and safe.
Negatives: Lobby smelled funny, dirty bath tub, stained sheets, dirty pillow cases and towels.

The hotel is situated conveniently downtown; however, the constant roar of motorcycle traffic may keep light sleepers awake into the night. In the winter there might be less traffic, but one must wait until past 3 am when the bars are all closed to sleep during the summer.
Positives: The lobby is beautifully appointed.
Negatives: The room was substandard, dirty, and uncomfortable.

Very good choice and value.
Positives: Cleanliness of the hotel.
Negatives: Location could have been better.

Overall the hotel is great.
Positives: The staff.
Negatives: Decor was a little dated.

The hotel and room were nice. The room however was very noisy. When the room was cleaned the garbage was not emptied, an empty cup and an empty can were not removed, the tub had water left in it, the iron was not put away. The cleaning of the room was minimal.
Positives: Location and room.
Negatives: Very noisy room.

For an overnight stay, this was fine. The rooms were small, so three of us in the room were falling over each other. The beds and pillows were very comfortable, although the beds squeaked. Noisy at night with other travelers letting their doors slam shut.
Positives: The beds were very comfortable, as well as the pillows.
Negatives: They did not have sofa beds and the rooms were to small for a rollaway.

I was very impressed with this hotel and the staff was extremely friendly. I enjoyed my two night stay there and will definitely stay at this hotel again if I am in town on business or for any other reason.
Positives: The consideration for the guest to have a good nights sleep with the amenities left.
Negatives: Although it didn't seem unsafe, it was a concern that the parking garage was above bus terminal.

Very clean, great staff, great amenities.
Positives: The room was awesome, super clean.
Negatives: Lobby was fancy but dated.

Great Downtown Location, Great Rooms, parking offsite, across the street in a car park inconvenient but accessible.
Positives: Super Clean, Great Amenities.
Negatives: Parking Offsite.
