Holiday Inn Express

The first night I heard the drive through all night. The pool looked cloudy so I did not use it. The room was an ok level of clean. There were cob webs behind the door. The second night I noticed that there was liquid make up all over the sheets. I slept with out the top sheet that night and reported it to the front desk. They moved me to the other side of the hotel where I didn't have to hear the drive through but, The bath tub was dirty. I went down stairs and informed them of this. I asked it they would up grade my room to a jacuzzi suite and they agreed to. In the mean time I was given cleaning products so I could clean my own bathroom. I was also told to pack up my belongings and they would move them for me to the jacuzzi suite in the morning. They did not. In fact, I tried to use my key card the next night and it didn't work. I went to the front desk and they informed me that my belongings were still in the room but, that my key did not work so.. They activated me a new key to that room and gave me my new room key to the jacuzzi suite. I start to move my things only to find out that it is not a jacuzzi suite at all. I go downstairs and see the employee that I spoke with the night before. I ask her about the jacuzzi suite and she says "Oh I'm sorry it is not open" I go back to the room upset then the smell of pot starts filling the air. The person down the hall is smoking pot. I go and report this as well. I was not happy at all!

Positives: I liked that they gave you both soft and firm pillows and that the pillow case indicated which it was.

Negatives: The bathtub was dirty. There was a drive through next door that was loud. The hotel was not located in a nice area.

The room was better than I ever expected. I would recommend staying there again and very close to OSU.

Positives: Room was bigger and nicer than expected. Great value!

Negatives: The area seems sketchy but had no issues.

Hotel staff very friendly and courteous. Rooms were very clean and elevator made going to the 4th floor easy.

Positives: Hotel staff was very friendly and gave us directions to our next destination.

Clean, good prices and helpful staff. An expensive cab ride and long drive relative to it's proximity to Downtown Columbus.

It was really great. The location might be a concerned of women traveling alone or going out by yourself at anytime. The neighborhood was bad. The security guards were really nice guys and helpful.

Positives: Staff excellent and the maids were wonderful and good at keeping us with everything we needed.

Negatives: The location was very unsafe. If you drove down the street it was bad as far as safety.

The room size was great. It was well kept up. Cable TV was very limited, only 10 channels to choose from. Continental breakfast was good. Hotel was very close to highway and was next to a fast food restaurant. The area was very industrial and rundown though.

Positives: It was very close to the highway, it made it really easy to get where we were going, plus there was a Wendy's right next door.

Negatives: The area was run down.

There were several holiday inn express' in the area, but unfortunately I chose the one in a very bad community/location. the wall paper in our room was peeling off the wall and there were permanent dirt stains in the tub. If you are going to put a hotel in such a poor community at least keep it looking nice, updated.

Positives: The desk clerk was helpful with information on where to shop and eat.

Negatives: The room was clean but needs to be updated. there were signs posted telling us to keep quite.

Overall and pleasant stay and nice room. Easy access to i-71 and the Ohio state university. The neighborhood was a bit of a concern but not an issue during my stay.

Positives: Rooms were quiet and clean. Easy access to oust.

Negatives: The neighborhood was a little less than desirable.

While the area surrounding the hotel was run-down, I felt completely safe within the hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous, continental breakfast was sufficient, and the room was clean and spacious enough for the solo traveler. I would stay here again on a return trip to Columbus.

Positives: Hotel was conveniently located off the highway, staff was courteous and friendly, and hotel was clean.

Negatives: Surrounding area was a little rundown.

Sam at the front desk was very nice when I checked in. The room was nice. The overall appearance of the hotel was clean.

I would recommend the hotel to anyone traveling through the Columbus area.

Positives: I appreciated the prompt service from the staff. The continental breakfast was excellent with a variety of choice .

The hotel was very nice, the staff was very helpful and very friendly. They talked to you like they have known you for ever. They were a great group of people.

Positives: It was easy to get to the convention center from it's location.

Negatives: The beds were as hard as rocks.
