One of the better hotels in downtown Columbus. Wi-fi is not free and there is no way to eat meals late but otherwise a very nice hotel with friendly staff and good service.
Positives: Clean, new, beautiful room and friendly staff.
Negatives: Hard to get food late at night..

However, after staying the weekend there my wife and I have already decided when we go back to Columbus we're staying at that very hotel again. It was clean, the staff was friendly (although young and inexperienced), the room was huge with a great view of the city, and the price was just right!
Positives: The hotel was clean, the staff was pretty friendly, and the room was awesome!
Negatives: The hotel was very, very chaotic - although every room was booked that weekend.

It was very clean and it was a luxurious room.
Positives: An absolutely beautiful view. One wall was all windows,,,even into the bathroom.
Negatives: We were there at the same time as hundreds of gamers who were there for a convention.

The Hyatt Regency Columbus is a beautiful hotel. Apparently recently remodeled, the rooms are nicely appointed. They were very clean and all the staff was very pleasant and helpful. Unfortunately, our stay was short but very enjoyable! Certainly would return and recommend highly.
Positives: The airline checkin PC and printer at the counter was an excellent idea and very convenient.
Negatives: WiFi was not free. In todays market, any hotel of this caliber should be providing free in-room WiFi.

Positives: It was clean, comfortable and safe.

I have never been treated better at any hotel! Along with the wonderful amenities, we experienced a staff that went above and beyond any and all expectations. I only wish I traveled more often to Columbus, Ohio to once again enjoy the experience made possible by this hotel. We arrived late, only to find that the hotel had oversold, so there was not a room available for us. The manager on duty comped our room across the street at The Crowne Plaza, comped our breakfast the next morning, comped our valet parking for the weekend, upgraded us to a King suite on the top floor the next night, which was newly remodeled, and comped our cab fare to and from our entertainment! The entire staff shared a attitude of wonderful customer service!
Positives: The staff at this hotel went above and beyond any and all expectations.
Negatives: The hotel oversold my room and it was not available when I arrived.

I will likely never stay at a Hyatt again after this experience. The overall hotel is outdated with extremely low ceilings and worn, poorly maintained finishes. We arrived in our room to find evidence of a previous guest including cookie crumbs and food wrappers in a drawer and clothing tags from newly purchased apparel sitting next to the television. The carpet had tears in it. The toilet paper was extremely thin and brittle like cheap news print. The bathroom was extremely dim with one fluorescent bulb that barely functioned and another that would occasionally glow at the base. There was a task chair sitting in one tight corner and there was no desk. The toilet was situated in the prow- shaped corner if the bathroom that not only meant you were surrounded by windows on two sides ( with vertical blinds that wouldn't close all the way, but Aldo that there was barely room for your feet when you sat on the toilet. With all of the glass the bathroom was boiling during the day and freezing at night. When we pressed the appropriate number on the phone for the bell hop, we were transferred twice then informed someone would call us back. We finally started lugging our stuff ourselves when someone finally called.
Positives: Nothing
Negatives: Torn carpet, low ceilings (7'-0"), trash from prior guest, newspaper-like toilet paper, burnt- out lights, no desk.

Uncomfortable beds, cheap linens, cold shower, middle of the road food, ugly meeting rooms, very loud rooms without any sound proofing, enough said. But did have friendly staff and a huge facility for meetings.
Positives: Staff.
Negatives: Bad food, uncomfortable beds, and cold shower.

Overall great, needs a small love seat or chair in room, carpet was dirty shower curtain and curtains were broke, cleaning crew not doing there job, bed was short sheet, and linen was harsh to the feeling.
Positives: It was close to our event.
Negatives: Carpet dirty shades, and shower cur broke.

The only problem with this hotel is that the bathtub was more like a foot washing tub. It was very very small. Other than that, the hotel was superb.
Positives: Very clean.
Negatives: Tiny bathtub.

The hotel was beautiful however trying to contact the front desk was near impossible. The line was busy for 3 hours. When l finally contact them they brought up the refrigerator quickly. One hour later l found that it wasn't working and they needed to replace it, which they did. The service which l am used to at the Hyatt was sub par. As pretty as the hotel was the service was awful.
Positives: The atmosphere was lovely.
Negatives: Charging 23 dollars for parking was a bit high.

I had a great view of downtown from 17th floor. Room service breakfast was delicious. The bed was very comfortable except that the king size sheets were too short for the mattress. Pillows were very comfortable. Air conditioner was rather loud.
Positives: Easy check in with kiosk. Allowed me to choose higher floor.
Negatives: Expensive parking. Loud air conditioner.

The lobby, location and staff was awesome, but after you left the lobby it was like getting off of the elevator and going into another hotel.
Positives: Beautiful lobby.
Negatives: Furnishings.

Great spot in downtown Columbus. Staff was very helpful especially one of the staff who helped us with all of our questions with a smile. This is a good place for a girls week end get away.
Positives: Location to delicious restaurants along the Short North.
Negatives: Confusing walking the bridge to the parking garage on the next block.

Pros: Clean rooms, best location for convention center and food court connected to hotel. Cons: Slow elevators, sun deck small, below street level, and shaded, no bath tub (shower only).
Positives: Food court at hotel.
Negatives: Elevators were very slow.

Nice and convenient for our purposes, but was expecting a little more for a 4 star hotel. Staff was friendly and helpful. No free internet in room.
Positives: Location and amenities.
Negatives: Halls and room outdated.

This is a great hotel and a great location, but I do wish they would have noted that there was a "teen event going on at the hotel so noise was and issue up to about 1:00 AM when it finally got quite".
Positives: Great views and comfortable beds and pillows!
Negatives: They did say there was a teen convention in town!

I liked the hotel a lot. The location and staff were great! The hotel bar and market cafe were nice as well.<BR/>I called the hotel personally to request a queen or king size bed. When I arrived at the hotel, the concierge offered me a room with two double beds. I had then told her that I was told by someone on their staff that I was to receive a king. She handled it well, but we ended up with a room with a king size bed that folded out of the wall. This wasn't really an issue, but the bed wasn't that comfortable and the space between the bed and the wall was pretty dirty. There were dust bunnies and an old newspaper.
Positives: It was in a great location and I liked that it had a fitness gym.
Negatives: The room we stayed in had a bed that folded out of the wall - which was fine – but behind the bed were dust bunnies and an old newspaper.

This hotel is a convention hotel. Typical upscale hotel. I would've preferred the 2.5 star Drury next door with a breakfast, free parking and free internet. The staff was friendly and helpful. The best part was the beds, really soft and comfortable. The down feather duvets were warm, too.
Positives: The beds were really soft and comfortable.
Negatives: No breakfast, no parking, no free internet, ice cold swimming pool.

Staff was very nice, everything was very clean. Construction was mildly annoying. Scrapping wallpaper off in hallway right outside our door and workers talking early in the morning. Great hotel if you're going to the nationwide center and lots of restaurants in the area. I would stay there again as long as there's not construction.
Positives: Super convenient location to nationwide center.
Negatives: Construction in the hallway woke us up very early.

The hotel was very nice overall. Valet parking was pretty pricey and self parking wasn't very convenient (about a block away). There also weren't many quick dining options around the hotel for dinner as everything closed early or was a sit down restaurant.
Positives: Very convenient location.
Negatives: Paying for Internet and parking convenience vs. price.

It is a typical mid to late 70's upper class hotel aimed at the trade show business of the time. It would have been top drawer for the times!
Positives: It was everything a Hyatt Regency is supposed to be.
Negatives: Totally subjective here. The design is out of the late 70's and is somewhat austere.

This was a very nice hotel, the staff was extremely professional and friendly. The rooms were clean and looked nice. The hotel had many amenities and walking distance to various restaurants and sports bars. Check in and check our was very fast and friendly.
Positives: Location and cleanliness.
Negatives: There was not anything I disliked.

Very nice and the staff went out of the way to be helpful. Rooms were clean and well appointed. Be prepared to pay for extras that are often included in lower priced hotels like breakfast, parking and internet access.
Positives: No trouble at all when we requested a wheelchair accessible room.
Negatives: The parking situation was terrible, either pay for valet or park in a nearby shoddy parking garage.

Positives: Quiet and romantic.
Negatives: Needed more wash clothes.

I would say its a decent hotel if they would work on their customer service more. The parking attendant could barely speak English, and the room service was extremely over priced and when I was desperate enough to order some it was unavailable.
Positives: The buildings design.
Negatives: No room service after 12, the parking situation, and you had to pay extra to use internet.
Reviewer: Not provided on Tue 15 Jul 2008 rated 10 out of 10.
We would be happy to stay there again. We did not get a chance to sample the restaurant menu or use the pool, etc., but would like the chance to do so in the future.
Positives: Great bed!
Negatives: It took a while to get the roll-away bed delivered to our room after check-in--we had tired 7-yr-old who needed to get to sleep.

Upscale hotel with nice amenities made for a pleasant stay.

Negatives: Parking is expensive.

My husband and I were away for a kid-free weekend. We have stayed here before and were happy to be visiting again. The rooms are spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The bathrooms are clean and spacious, as well. The staff was friendly and helpful. You are in walking distance to shopping, restaurants, bars, movie theater, Nationwide Arena, etc. You can park your car and not get back in until you leave. Parking was convenient and reasonable for the downtown area. The only problem was when the elevators became busy it was an agonizing wait to get one. We opted to walk nine floors one evening rather than wait. We weren't alone. Otherwise, fantastic stay, would come again!
Positives: Excellent beds, makes for a good night's sleep and great view.
Negatives: When the elevators were busy it took forever, walked nine flights one time to avoid wait.

Great location downtown near popular neighborhoods. Rooms and lobby was very nice.
Positives: Good location, clean, upscale, modern.
Negatives: Pay extra for breakfast and parking.
