This is a run down facility in need of much upgrading to qualify as a two star facility. As a result of this pick from Priceline, I will be reluctant to use your services again.

The pool and hot tub are filthy, continental breakfast is horrible with few options and never restocked when low, and the management has poor people skills. We stayed in the Travelodge Grand Forks, ND on our way back from Fargo, ND so that we could have one more day away from home. We were hoping to spend a nice night relaxing and had the opposite. We couldn't use the hot tub because it was filthy with scummy stuff floating on the top and the pool was dirty as well. We complained about it and got, we the hot tub and pool can become dirty from day to day. What? I have never heard of something like that from a big hotel chain before. Continental breakfast was not good. We got to breakfast at 8:00 am and by then there was nothing left. We had to wait 30 minutes to get a bagel and some juice. There was one person working the front desk and re stocking the breakfast. Upon check-out we mentioned all of our concerns about our stay and we were offered 10<BR/>dollar<BR/>off of our stay. Were told that we already got the room for cheap enough and thats all they could do. The manager didn't even say it in a professional or polite way and pretty much well said it as, this is the way it is so take it or leave it. I am not one to complain and I will put up with a lot and just let things go, but this was to much. I have read through other reviews about this hotel and have read many of the same complaints. This made the end of our trip horrible and I hope that things will change.

Overall, I didn't mind staying there. I felt ripped off that I could have just booked through the hotel and saved over $50.

Positives: New carpets. Quiet. Continental breakfast.

Negatives: They assured me twice the hot tub worked, but it was hot, but did not work properly and was not clean.

Hotel was nice, but<BR/>I would recommend that they make the first floor all non smoking and the second floor with smoking rooms so we wouldn't have to have our kids walking through the halls that smell of smoke, but other than that the hotel stay was excellent.

Positives: Good breakfast nice hotel staff.

Negatives: While walking to the breakfast room you can smell smoke in the hallways even outside our non smoking room you can smell smoke in hallways.

We had a lot of fun at this hotel. Not conveniently located at the malls, but not to far away. Also the beds were not comfortable. The pool was awesome and the room was clean. Very impressed and would go back again.

Positives: The big warm pool.

Negatives: The bed was not comfortable.

If we have fitted sheets on bed - friendly kitchen staff - better water hot and cold control for bath and shower its a great place to stay.

Positives: All other staff wonderful - helpful.

Negatives: Hot and cold water control hard to handle in shower or bath need larger towels for pool.

Pictures on the web made the hotel look better than it was. It was an older hotel that was in ok shape. We found a tube of ky jelly in our nightstand by the bed. Yuck. Also, the TV didn't work when we got there. I've definitely had better hotels I¿ve stayed in.

Positives: Like the hot tub.

Negatives: Didn't like finding ky jelly in the drawer, TV didn¿t' work.

This hotel was perfect for the one night that we were in grand forks to see a concert at the alerus center. Friendly, helpful staff, appealing design and decor and clean comfortable rooms.

Positives: Friendly, helpful staff, very accommodating and comfortable.

Negatives: Shuttle service to the alerus center would have been nice.

All the staff encountered tried to make me feel at home in a friendly manner. Rooms were spacious and clean, as were the common areas.

Positives: Initial greeting by front desk staff and continental breakfast.

Negatives: I can't think of anything I didn't like.

Close enough to mall, Target etc. Very quiet, but beds a little hard to sleep on.

Positives: Pool was not busy so we had it to ourselves mostly.

Negatives: Too few towels in room.
