Places to stay in Alfred, North Dakota
Alfred is an unincorporated hamlet in LaMoure County, North Dakota. It was one of five towns founded by Richard Sykes. Alfred is surrounded by numerous grain farms. There are no local police, fire, medical or educational services, and its post office was closed some years ago but it is far from being a ghost town, as one website alleges even while admitting it remains populated.
If you are travelling in the area, Alfred is located close to School Number 1, Bone Hill Creek Lake, Gackle Rural Fire Station, Schlecht-Wiexel Dam and Saint James Cemetery.
