When choosing the Hilton's Wedding Pkg., think twice before choosing Moxie Floral & Design. They will disappoint you. On my wedding day I was very disappointed with the quality of the work that was provided to me for the most important day of my life.

Positives: Location is great for a beach wedding .

Negatives: Never choose Moxie Floral.

I had a horrible experience with the staff, with one exception. The night time clerk was rude and offensive to me when I had called down to ask if we could get some forks. My friends were chatting next to me and she assumed we were partying and being disruptive and told me she would throw us out. I asked if there had been any complaints and she said no. But she continued, saying she'd kick us out, that we weren't allowed to be up and making any noise. She also told me that she would have the general manager come and visit me in the morning and have a talk with me. I let her know that she was being rude and I didn't appreciate it, that I'd expected better service at a Hilton hotel.
When my friends found out what the lady had said to me, two of them went down to talk to her and assure her that we were not causing a disruption. When they got to the desk she lied and told them that there had been a number of complaints about our room, even though all we were doing was sitting around chatting. She then said that she knows we are under a special military rate, that we were on the military floor for a reason, and threatened again to kick us out. The best part is that the security guard followed my friends to the elevator to tell them that he saw the whole thing and knew that she was rude and was not being professional. He was so nice and apologetic to us, which I appreciate.
Unfortunately, the morning manager was not any friendlier. She said it was our word against the other woman, and she couldn't say anything because she wasn't there. She then offered us a future free stay, which we declined, obviously and made it clear we would never come back. We took a 50% discount, although that still doesn't satisfy me. Mostly because we never received an apology from management, and I never even slept. I laid in bed all night awake because I was nearly shaking with anger. And my all night, I mean that I didn't sleep a single moment.

This recount doesn't even include half of the offensive things she said to me on the phone and told my friends at the desk. Oh, and my friends and I are married with children. I'm pregnant. We're very responsible adults which made it even more insane that the woman was treating us like crazy partying kids.

Positives: Room was nice, view was nice.

Negatives: Terrible guest service, offended by staff.

You'll be disappointed to find that half of those riverview rooms have no view of the river. The stairs are under construction so every elevator ride stops on all 9 floors. The coffee from the coffee shop is a bit expensive and tastes like bilge water. Forget about this place.

Negatives: Construction.

Rooms were small but well appointed in a convenient location at the end of the Riverwalk. The bed was a dream to sleep in. Very clean, especially the updated bathroom. All good views, blackout drapes, great price with a helpful front desk, sent up an I-bridge for my laptop immediately. The negatives I personally observed: maid service had not come to the room by 4:30 when I had returned from being at the beach all day, self parking rate is absurd for the not very well maintained parking lot and the snack counter is overpriced.

Positives: Tempurpedic bed, down comforter and excellent price.

Negatives: Absurd parking rates and slow maid service.

The hotel has recently had a major renovation and it shows! The lobby, our room and the restaurant were all beautiful. The staff was friendly and very helpful. Our only problem was the fact that the room key wouldn't work about once a day and that meant a trip down to the lobby again.

Positives: Our room was beautiful with great view of the river.

Negatives: We had problems with our room key, not working almost every day.

Coming to visit Wilmington, I wanted to stay somewhere decent, because Wilmington hotels are not exactly luxurious. Enjoyed the Hilton. Loved our view (directly above the pool, overlooking the cape fear river). Bed was super comfy. The room I got was all bed (king) but what else are you doing in a hotel room? The lobby was nice and the manager made a point to greet me on my checkout. Overall, highly satisfied with the experience.

Positives: Memory foam mattress!

Negatives: Small bathroom.

I had a dripping Air Conditioner that could not get fixed. A fire Alarm at 2:30 am disrupted sleep and threw me off for the next few days. Staff Service was the biggest disappointment. I had an error on my check out date, which caused me several trips to the front desk. I spent most of my time trying to fix my check out date. It never was resolved; they checked me out on the incorrect date in spite of several reassurances. That was frustrating. No one would answer at the front desk when you dialed from your room. The restaurant served bland by edible food. Did not accommodate business needs.

Positives: Great location.

Negatives: Too many room mistakes with staff unable to resolve conflicts.

I have no plans too stay there in the future. Parking rates are crazy trying too milking for every dime you have. Fire alarm went off for about 15 minutes which turned out to be a false alarm. Also there was a dust an inch thick under the television.

Positives: King size bed.

Negatives: Charging to park your car is absurd.

Good overall. Too bad when you check in you have to take what room they have for you, I didn't get both rooms I reserved beside each other, which did not make me happy. But the location is excellent.

Positives: Good looking, clean, very good location to go out downtown.

Negatives: Pool was closed, did not get the room I wanted.
