Rose’s Noodles ( Dining / Asian ). Located at 121 North Gregson Street. Justin and Katie Meddis opened Rose’s Meat Market & Sweet Shop in 2013, fusing Justin’s skill at whole animal butchery with Katie’s talent for artisan pastry. In addition to selling meat and sweets, the Shop offered sandwiches, ramen and noodle dishes drawing from Justin’s experience in Japanese restaurant kitchens in San Francisco.

Nanasteak ( Dining / Steak ). Located at 345 Blackwell American Tobacco District. NanaSteak opened its doors in February 2016 in a newly built space located next to the Durham Performing Arts Center (DPAC) and Aloft Durham Downtown Hotel.
The restaurant boasts a beautiful corner location with abundant natural light. It was designed and built by Jack Moore of Gateway Building Company. In homage to Durham's long tobacco history, the bar top and tables are inlaid with real tobacco leaves, artfully crafted by Artisan Leaf.
