Very nice hotel, but the floor in my room had noticable stains. I was very disappointed I received a king bed, although I reserved doubles.
Positives: The presentation of the Westin is first class!
Negatives: I reserved double beds, but received a king!

Overall, I found the hotel OK for the price I paid. Hotel seems bit dated and bathroom looked cheap. The hotel is situated right next to convention center. So expect large crowd in the lobby and the hotel restaurant during conventions. On the positive side ,the staff was nice and friendly. Hotel is good for business travelers.
Positives: Location and Staff.
Negatives: Hotel restaurant and Bathroom.

It's a beautiful hotel with extremely comfortable beds! The restaurant looked good, but didn't get a chance to try it out.
Positives: Beautiful hotel and great location to everything downtown!
Negatives: The room was dusty, but clean otherwise.

Lovely location with excellent view of uptown Charlotte from all of the rooms. In-room and restaurant dining options were excellent.
Positives: The waiter at the restaurant agreed to serve us the delicious breakfast, even though we were late.
Negatives: Bathtub was small and had no jets.

Great overall hotel, will visits again. I will however keep in mind the rooms have a nice view, but are tight on space.
Positives: Nice city view from corner unit.
Negatives: No trash bag in trash cans in room and were stinky, dirty. Very small unit for two or one.

Well above what I expected.
Positives: Everyone made it a good experience.
Negatives: Food was overpriced, I didn't see any families there.

We spent a Friday night in uptown Charlotte (our home town) while visiting museums and restaurants. Location is good, depending on your destination - it's 6 or 7 blocks to the entertainment center of uptown. Hotel is new, with more contemporary decor. Pillow top beds are very comfortable. Starbucks in the lobby (open only till 1:30pm) and in the room. We don't recommend the restaurant. Menu was very brief (although that could have been because of the holiday weekend), and the mediocre wines too expensive to be a good value even measured against other restaurants.
Positives: Comfortable bed, Starbucks coffee in the room, one way room window shade allow a view of the city lights.
Negatives: Refrigerator was too loud; restaurant wine mediocre & expensive.

Negatives: Nothing.

The Westin Charlotte was very clean, with helpful staff and a wonderful location.

Negatives: There wasn't a casual dining option.

Check-in is a nightmare. For the past 3 years they know a large group will be checking in on Friday afternoon but have been totally unprepared and understaffed. I stood in line for 55 minutes to check in. There was no room service menu in the room and when I called to request one, I was told it would be 2 hours to get a Menu! When I asked if I could come down to the front desk myself to get one, they said no, I'd have to stand in line with the others checking in (I heard stories from friends that the line lasted for at least 5 hours, could they not know they had 2 large groups checking in!) They gave no helpful information about restaurants in the area.
Positives: Closest hotel to the convention center.
Negatives: No room service menu, if I wanted one brought up it would take 2 hours and I couldn't even go to the front desk and pick one up.

I had a 1-night stay at this hotel with my family. The quality was perfect and we had a good night there.
Positives: Good location, clean and good employees.
Negatives: I think 18$ for parking is too expensive.

Felt very nice and new. The rooms were nice but the noise is unacceptable. You can literally hear guests through the walls, especially in the bathroom. I have never been to a hotel that was like this. The parking garage was a pain, both in its location and access in and out.
Positives: Common areas were all very nice.
Negatives: Paper thin walls - no soundproofing.

Beautiful hotel, close to where we were going out.
Positives: Very nice and great price.
Negatives: Nothing, loved it.

We enjoyed our stay at the Westin, however I have stayed at lower star rated hotels that far exceed the Westin. Parking is $18 per day and they program lot access to your key card. This programming never worked so we were actually stuck in the parking lot for several minutes trying to get out. Overall, the staff wasn't too helpful, they didn't seem happy at all. But for the price, I was satisfied with my experience.
Positives: Location was great.
Negatives: Bathroom was old and outdated, not very spacious, and the parking was inconvenient.

Positives: Great view of the city from the room.
Negatives: Furniture in lobby/room not as new as expectedm fro four star.

Positives: Location and the very comfortable beds.
Negatives: Charge to use pool!

Negatives: Nothing.

I lost my car keys. Haven't found them, if they are found by the hotel I sure would want to get them back - expensive to replace.
Positives: Location.
Negatives: The limos - the prices all over the place.

For the price and the reason I was there it was more than adequate.
Positives: The location.
Negatives: No outside swimming pool, and 16.00 a day for parking.

Traveling to Charlotte? Book a room at the Westin! Within walking distance of museums, restaurants, and bars (and close driving proximity to other attractions), this hotel dished out as much convenience as it did comfort. And boy was it comfortable! The "Heavenly Bed" couldn't boast a more apt name, and the double shower heads made me feel extra squeaky clean. Plus, the staff embodied friendliness and efficiency, adding an extra night to our stay in seconds and promptly addressing all of our questions and concerns. I've never stayed anywhere else in Charlotte, and after my weekend at the Westin, I don't think I ever will!
Positives: The most comfortable hotel bed ever!
Negatives: Expensive bar drinks; fees for internet, pool, and workout room.

Negatives: Beds were not all that comfortable.

Overall a nice hotel with friendly staff. Parking was very easy cost $16 dollars per night I did not think it was overly expensive. There was also a nice workout facility and a swimming pool inside. I enjoyed my stay.
Positives: Nice beds, attractive, ease of parking.
Negatives: Furniture and TV could be updated.

I was a little disappointed with our recent stay at the Westin, as was the couple traveling with us. The lobby was beautiful, but we all noticed that the carpets in the hallways and rooms were dirty. I thought it was odd for a four star hotel to charge guests to use the gym/pool. I would not stay at this particular hotel again. We had previously stayed at another four star hotel in the same area. This hotel did not live up to a four star rating.
Positives: The hotel was very easy to find, and the view was great.
Negatives: The parking cost was high, the carpets were dirty and they charge guests to use the gym/pool.

The Westin was very upscale. Rooms were clean and well maintained as well as all other areas of the hotel. Beds were so comfortable, we slept great! Room service was prompt even thought they had warned us they were busy at the time and may take longer, it really didn't. Food was really good and arrived hot. The staff were all friendly and knowledgeable. It is an all non-smoking hotel which was nice. There were many restaurants and attractions within walking distance as well as the city train which stopped there at the hotel and was easy to ride.
Positives: The train was located at the hotel which was easy to ride and took you uptown which was very convenient for our needs.
Negatives: There is a lot of construction going on in the area which hindered the beauty of the hotel.

The hotel was excellent. The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was neat and clean. The restaurant was also excellent. The only negative was the bathroom. Both the sink and tub drains were not working. The exhaust fan was also not working which made showering a real challenge.
Positives: Staff was extremely friendly.
Negatives: The bathroom was not up to standards. Both the sink and tub drain was not working. There was also no working exhaust fan in bathroom.

Due to a missed connection at the airport, I was only at the Westin for 5 hours. It was probably the best 5 hours of the week however. The shower was how showering in heaven must be and the bed was amazingly comfortable.
Positives: I loved the shower.
Negatives: That I couldn't stay longer.
