The hotel lobby was nice but the room had bugs. The room and halls smelled bad. The room was very small.
Positives: The price.
Negatives: The bugs in the room and the room and halls smelled like nasty feet.

Excellent hotel. Clean has everything you need. Computers in the lobby are a nice touch. I think it is nicer than the Siena down the street which is 4 stars.
Positives: Nice gym, rooms are excellent, love the location, our daughter is at UNC.
Negatives: It would be hard to come up with anything bad the only thing I could think of is the pool could have been cleaner scum around the top.

This is a return Pleasure trip for me. Last year I came with a friend for shopping....this year I bought my 40 year old daughter. Last year we ate at the Hotel for dinner. It was very expensive, there was hardly anyone in there and the service was slow.....so this year we ate at Lone Star.
Positives: The big puffy beds. So comfortable.
Negatives: The "coldness" of the reception area when you walk in......doesn't appear to be very inviting.

Nice clean hotel but not upscale, good location for unc visitors. Bathroom shower needs work.
Positives: The location was excellent and the business area with computers/printers were very helpful.
Negatives: The shower was awful handheld shower head that leaked and did not stay in place, very poor shower/bath area.

Nice hotel. Good gym, free parking, free Wi-Fi, clean room. I am not someone who is usually picky about the small stuff, but this hotel did have the worst pillows I have ever slept on. All three nights I would sleep on two pillows, wake up with a stiff neck thinking the pillows were off the bed because I felt like I was laying flat against the mattress, but actually, I was laying on two pillows! So, seriously bad pillows. But, staff was friendly, room was clean and everything else was completely fine with the room.
Positives: Good gym, close to campus (UNC-CH). Easy access to Interstate. Shopping, coffee, and even Trader Joe's within a mile.
Negatives: Toilet did not flush well and pillows were horrible!

My first choice in the Chapel Hill area.
Positives: Lovely setting, comfortable rooms especially the beds, down quilt, friendly helpful staff. Free Internet and local calls.
Negatives: Cable TV system was very strange, hard to scroll through channels or find what's on.

Located just a few miles from UNC, this Sheraton offers clean, larger rooms with plenty of space in restrooms. It's over sized fountain is a great backdrop for morning breakfast or a little quite time. Large conference tables in public spaces offers great gathering space for groups.
Positives: Extremely friendly staff. Allowed after hours swimming.
Negatives: Less attractive exterior compared to interior.

The staff is friendly and helpful, the beds are comfortable and there is Starbucks coffee in the room. The shuttle service is very nice and will take you to the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and nearby shopping and will pick you up. The fitness center is always open and provides headsets and televisions to watch while you are biking.
Positives: The fitness center and shuttle service were excellent.
Negatives: I'm not a big fan of brown decor.

We stayed at the hotel while visiting UNC. The hotel is in great condition after renovation, their fitness equipment is top notch with towels, headphones, and TVs built on the cardio equipment. Staff was super friendly and we really liked the free shuttle feature to anywhere within 5-6 mile radius of the hotel, which covers a lot of ground.
Positives: Great staff, free shuttle drop-off/pick-up.
Negatives: Llittle out of the way if visiting UNC.

Really nice renovated hotel. Close to downtown and UNC. The staff was very friendly I would recommend.
Positives: Nice renovated hotel, near UNC.
Negatives: Wish more hotels were like this one.

We will stay again when we are in the area which may be frequent as we have a child in graduate school at UNC.
Positives: it was clean and spacious, centrally located
Negatives: the woman who checked us answered two phone call while we waited and we had had a LONG day!

This hotel should not have been open in its current state of disrepair. The lobby and public areas were a disaster. We are extremely disappointed at the poor experience there.
Positives: Chapel Hill is beautiful in the spring.
Negatives: Hotel is under renovation and not currently fit for habitation.

This hotel will be better once construction is complete, but it is not comfortable and overall was a major disappointment. No exercise facility on site - you drive to a strip shopping mall and use a pretty run down gym in a strip mall.
Positives: Convenient to our destination.
Negatives: No exercise facility, no pool, ongoing construction, small bathroom, no parking.

Initially put in a double next to the elevator and exit, which was very loud. Asked to be moved within a few minutes and was put in a room with a king sized bed as there were no other double rooms available in the hotel. Luckily my daughter didn't mind! Lobby was still under construction and we had to use staff computer as the business center wasn't set up. Breakfast was not included. Updated room decor was nice and I imagine the other facilities will be also when completed.
Positives: Updated room decor.
Negatives: Lobby area under construction.

There were 20 shipping containers all around the hotel, no lobby, check in and parking in rear of hotel. No continental breakfast.
Positives: Hot water, good water pressure, nice fluffy towels.
Negatives: No lobby, had to drive around back to park and check in.

Hotel will probably be very nice all together once renovation is complete. Front lobby is closed, you are re-routed to the back of the hotel to check-in in a very small back entry which looks like a construction zone. Hallways and elevators reflect work in progress. Room itself was clean and comfortable, but all together we didn't get the right impression of the hotel.
Positives: Room was clean and comfortable and front desk clerk friendly and helpful.
Negatives: They should have closed the hotel during renovation.

This hotel was being heavily renovated when I was there.
Positives: Clean and comfortable rooms.
Negatives: Hotel was under heavy renovations.

Bottled water offered in one room I stayed in, checked out and bottled water not offered for free in next room, also floors were very cold with the ceramic tile since room heat was not on before check in.
Positives: Service was great at the restaurant.
Negatives: Too pricey for the condition and rooms not being equal.

They are in the middle of a remodel. Nothing was terribly bad about this hotel, but nothing particularly notable. Our room had a balcony which was nice, but the view was mediocre and the balcony wasn't really big enough to sit on comfortably. Lobby was being completely redone which made entering and exiting the hotel at the back entrance problematic as they only had stairs (no ramp).
Positives: Vending machine.
Negatives: Construction noise, bathtub stopper broken.

They require a $50 fee for incidentals which is charged upon check in. It was very inconvenient, to say the least. They promised the charge would be removed when we checked out, however, we waited almost an entire week before the charge was returned to our account.
Positives: The decor was beautiful inside the rooms.
Negatives: Under construction- very inconvenient.

Comfy king bed in a modern updated room. Also very clean. The location was ok for what we were there for and the restaurant was fantastic. I would totally stay there again. As I mentioned before...the Lobby remodel was very inconvenient though other than that it was great!
Positives: Friendly/helpful staff, very clean comfortable rooms.
Negatives: Lobby remodel going on that was not convenient at all.
