Positives: The cookies, good location.

Negatives: No complaints.

Excellent for a business traveler, but for a leisure traveler, I would appreciate a comfortable chair to sit in to read or watch TV, instead of only a desk chair. This hotel is located on the former location of Biltmore Dairy, which was part of Biltmore House owned by George Vanderbilt. The hotel has a display of many antiques from the old dairy, including an old milk delivery wagon.

Positives: No charge for parking.

Negatives: A charge for breakfast, when the information book in the room led me to believe that it was included.

This is a good hotel and clean. Friendly staff and TGI Friday's is a good trade off for a bar/lounge area.

Positives: Housekeeping was excellent. Loved Crabtree and Evelyn toiletries.

Negatives: Too far to walk to Downtown.

I would not go to this hotel again because of the room mess up.

Positives: I like service with a smile and hot cookies/ this hotel was not giving it with out persistence on my part.

Negatives: The check-in clerk did not a act accomodating and the manager did the right thing with the room after persistence.

Hotel is fine, but only a few rooms are updated and have flat screen TVs as described on the hotel website. Called the hotel to ask for a King size bed, they had plenty availability but wanted to charge me extra for the stay! I have never seen a hotel charge a guest for a different bed type when they have plenty of availability. They charge for everything, to use the safe in the room there is a daily charge, there is no fridge in the rooms and to have one there is a daily charge. Breakfast is expensive and very mediocre.

Positives: Location.

Negatives: Nice location and friendly staff. Old rooms, and common areas. Need updating. Extra charges for everything.

People were very nice at the DoubleTree - they sent us to the Quality Inn because our room was so bad that my throat starting clogging up and my husband was also having problems breathing.

Positives: Never got to stay at the Double Tree!

Negatives: My room at the Double Tree smelled like it had been in a fire!

The hotel staff, cleanliness, and atmosphere of the hotel was awesome. There was poor choice in the vending machines, only canned sodas. The room service food was inadequate and tasteless. They included a two cup coffee maker that had all the fixings to take a to-go cup of coffee which was awesome.

Positives: Very clean rooms, very nice staff and great in room entertainment options. Loved the Friday's that was connected.

Negatives: The room service food was not worth the price.

The hotel was conveniently located to Biltmore Village and the Biltmore Estate. The hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. The beds were comfortable and we slept very well.

Positives: The staff was extremely personable and helpful. Excellent warm cookies at checkin.

Negatives: The bathroom could use an upgrade.

The price of the hotel was very reasonable; the bathroom was inadequate (not clean enough and the tub was stopped up). There was no complimentary breakfast (bagels, fruit and juice was 8.95; hot breakfast was 12.95) although there was a Bagel shop across the street.

Positives: Location

Negatives: No free continental breakfast.

My husband and I stayed here for a vacation October 2009. The room was very clean, the staff great and the cookies were awesome! Loved waking up and getting Starbucks coffee in the lobby. I would have to agree that the bathroom was kinda small if two people were trying to get ready at the same time. However it was clean. The bed was comfy. The tv could use updating.

Positives: Loved the cookies and the starbucks coffee in the morning. The location was perfect for visiting the Biltmore Estate, the Village and downtown Ashevil.

Negatives: The bathroom was on the small side and the tv could be updated to HD flat screen.

Ideal for the business traveler.

Positives: Clean, quiet, professional staff.

Negatives: Could not shut off the noisey AC unit.

We enjoyed staying at double tree at Baltimore. The rooms were very nice and quiet. Beds are extremely comfortable and it is a very clean hotel. It was a minute away from the attractions we came to see and very easy to access from the interstate. The staff with the exception of one day person were extremely friendly and courteous.

Positives: They made us feel welcome and at home. The arm cookies were an over the top nice touch too.

Negatives: On our 2nd stay there, one of the day desk staff was not as friendly.

Easy access to the Biltmore and convenient to downtown. The room was average size, very nice beds and linens. The pool and hot tub were clean and had lots of towels. Hot chocolate chip cookies at check in is a nice touch.

Positives: Very friendly staff.

Negatives: No continental breakfast.

Good location, just off the side of the highway, but several miles from downtown Asheville where the action is. The room was great, except we had an issue with several ants crawling around the room. We mentioned it to the hotel and they did investigate, but unfortunately because our luggage was not packed up, they couldn't spray. Nonetheless, it would be better if ants did not get in the room to begin with.

Positives: Spacious rooms, friendly staff

Negatives: We had ants in our room
