The hotel was recently renovated, so it had a very nice, modern aesthetic. However, as it was an older building, if you weren't on the top floor you could hear the people above you walking around. The conveniences in the hotel were wonderful, the fitness room was adequate, and the available food and drink offerings were great. Overall, though, a great hotel.

Positives: The coffee bar/sitting area downstairs was very convenient.

Negatives: I didn't like the lack of free breakfast.

I highly recommend this Marriott property! Our (double bed) room was spacious and exceptionally clean. Staff was always warm, friendly, helpful and accommodating. (Loved that they had fresh coffee available in the lobby area 24 hrs.) Front desk staff had area maps available, printed detailed travel directions to areas, points of interests, and discounted tickets available for sale to some of the local attractions.

Positives: Clean, great staff, plenty of nearby dining, shopping, quick freeway access.

Negatives: Absolutely no negative comments.

Staff frindly, clean quiet. Wish they had a free breakfast of some kind.

Positives: I liked the decor and high ceilings in the room.

Negatives: I did not like the pink tile and low ceilings in the bathroom.

The rooms were attractive and wellkept. Also convenient to our purpose. It would have been nice to have had breakfast at a more nominal cost or free as were the other hotels in the same small vicinity. Stll a good deal for our money.

Positives: Convenience

Negatives: Other hotels in close proximity provide a free breakfast - the buffet looked lovely, but was somewhat costly

Enjoyed my stay at this hotel. The staff was courteous and helpful, and the accommodations met all expectations. No problems whatsoever.

Positives: Very clean rooms, everything worked/functioned, and staff very helpful, especially the tourist information.

Negatives: Had no complaints.

The rooms were clean and spacious. It was nice to have both hard wired and wireless internet for free. The coffee as we exited was good.

Positives: Spacious room - convenient location.

Negatives: Tough getting out of the parking lot to go left.

I really liked this hotel. It was clean, nice, and friendly. Parking was close to the lobby, which was nice since it was raining. My mom had stayed at another place in Asheville last time, and she said it was not nice at all. She was very happy with the room. It wasn't right downtown but very close. I would stay here again.

Positives: I liked the design and layout of the room, and that there was a balcony.

Negatives: I think they forgot to set the key cards on the room for two nights, so we had to get them reset.

Positives: Friendly staff. Clean and new rooms.

Negatives: Whirlpool was small and out of order when we stayed.

The furniture was used, the upholstery on the ottoman was stained, the desk chair didn't fit the desk, the radio was almost antique, the sink faucet shot water at you, the cleaner they used on the tile floors left them sticky, and I had to clean the mirrors on the closet doors because they were splattered with something and the whole mess reflected in the vanity mirror. Very disappointed. Expected more for that amount of money.

Positives: The location on Buckstone Road was both pleasant and convenient. The bed was very comfortable.

Negatives: Breakfast was not complimentary. Room was shabby.

I enjoyed my weekend stay at this hotel. It was close to all of my weekend activities. It was very quiet. And extremely clean. I also enjoyed the opportunity to purchase tickets for my activities at the hotel. This saved us from having to stand in line. I would highly recommend this hotel to family & friends.

Positives: I enjoyed the overall quietness for the entire stay.

Negatives: The couch could have been more comfortable.

In relation to downtown Asheville, the location is truly convenient and many restaurants are close by.

Positives: Very helpful and friendly staff.

Negatives: The morning waitress gave us some 'attitude' (do not know why), therefore, we did not tip her meager service.
