El Pinto Restaurant ( Dining / Mexican ). Located at 10500 4th Street Northwest, Albuquerque, 3 miles from the center of Corrales. The restaurant was built in 1962 with one dining room and a small kitchen. El Pinto can now seat 1,200 guests and is the largest restaurant in the state of New Mexico. The restaurant has five patios, three indoor dining rooms, and a cantina. El Pinto uses the recipes of the owners' grandmother Josephina Chavez-Griggs. Their family was the first to differentiate their cuisine as "New Mexican".
